King Rahugana asks the questions as to why we are blinded by logic and Jadbharat explains in detail the nature of being. He offers an observation as to what is the difference between a rock on the Earth and us if the soul is removed. Jadbharat offers some deep reflections and also mentions his past births and the folly of being trapped in the cycle of material attractions that may be even love towards another being. Jadbharat explains to the king Rahugana that just using a superficial logic is no way to become a knowledgeable person. Further, such logic cannot lead to the path of Moksha. Jadbharat delienates the idea of the body, the Earth and the soul. Once upon a time King Rahugan is passing through his kingdom and is need of a palanquin carrier. He finds Jadbharat and adds him as part of palanquin carriers. However, Jadbharat in his view not to harm those insects and other living being crawling on the Earth, does not keep pace with other palanquin carriers. The king gets really angry on Jadbharat and also mocks him. Jadbharat at this time offers the most insightful reflection on tatvagyan and in brief explains the difference he sees in the soul and the body. In his re-birth after leaving his body of a deer, the king Bharat is born as one of the twins in a Brahmin family. He remembers his past and is so worried about going down the wrong path that he acts deaf, dumb and generally incapable of coherent thoughts. His father has a lot of love for him and tries to teach him but 'jadbharat' does not learn much. When his father dies, his brothers and others take advantage of jadbharat, however, he does not mind as nothing sways him from the path of the Lord. One night, some decoits, kidnap him to be the sacrifice for the Goddess Kali. પુલહાશ્રમમાં ભરતજી ભગવાન ભક્તિ માં રચ્યાપચ્યા હતા. એ સમયે એક વખત તેમણે નદીમાં એક હરણીનું મૃત્યુ થતાં જોયું અને તેના બાળકને તરફડતા જોઈને આ મૃગબાળને તેમને બચાવી લીધું. થોડા જ વખતમાં ભરતજીને આ મૃગબાળ જોડે એટલી માયા બંધાઈ ગઈ કે તેઓ ભગવાનની ભક્તિ નો ભાવ ભૂલી ગયા અને તેમનામાં હું પણું પાછું પ્રસ્થાપિત થયું. તેઓ વિચારવા લાગ્યા કે હું નહીં હોઉં તો હરણબાળ નું શું થશે અને તેને કેવી રીતે સાચવવું. આ અધ્યાયમાં આપણને મોહ કેવી રીતે થઈ જાય છે તેનું બહુ જ સુંદર વર્ણન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. આવા મોહને કારણે ભરતજીનો મૃગ યોનિમાં જન્મ થયો. પોતે આગળ કરેલી ભગવદ્ ભક્તિ ના કારણે તેમને પાછલા જન્મની સ્મૃતિ રહી અને એટલે સમજી શક્યા કે એમણે કેવા પ્રકારની ભૂલો કરી છે. મૃગ બનીને તેઓ પાછા પુલહાશ્રમ જ આવ્યા અને ત્યારબાદ થોડા સમય પછી તેમણે પોતાના શરીરનું ગંડકી નદીમાં વિસર્જન કર્યું. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/paurav-shukla/message

આ અધ્યાયથી આપણે મહારાજ ભરતના ચરિત્ર તરફ વળી રહ્યા છીએ. મહારાજ ભરત બહુવિધ હતા અને સક્ષમ રાજા હતા. તેઓએ શાસ્ત્ર વિધિપૂર્વક ઘણા વર્ષો સુધી રાજ્ય કર્યું અને ત્યાર બાદ પોતાના પુત્રોને યથાયોગ્ય સંપતિ અને રાજ્ય સોંપી અને ગૃહસ્થાશ્રમનો ત્યાગ કર્યો. રાજા ભરત આપણને કોઈ એક અગ્રણી કે નેતાએ ક્યારે રાજ્ય ત્યાગ કરવો એની ખૂબ સુંદર સમજણ આપે છે. રાજા ભરત ત્યારબાદ પુલહાશ્રમ મા રહેવા લાગ્યા અને નિષ્ઠાથી ભગવદ્ ભક્તિ માં રચ્યાપચ્યા રહેતા હતા. એમ કરવાથી તેમનામાં પરમ આનંદ છલોછલ ભરાઈ આવ્યો. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/paurav-shukla/message

જૈન ધર્મના પ્રથમ તીર્થંકર મહારાજ ઋષભદેવ એ સબળ રાજા છે પણ આધ્યાત્મમાં એટલું જ ઊંડાણ ધરાવે છે. તેઓ પોતાના પૂત્રોની સાથે બ્રાહ્મણોએ કરેલા એક મહાયજ્ઞમાં ભાગ લે છે અને ત્યાં પોતાના પુત્રોને આધ્યાત્મનો સર્વ પ્રથમ ઉપદેશ આપે છે. આ ઉપદેશ જૈન ધર્મની પ્રથમ કેડી છે. ત્યારબાદ પુત્ર ભરતને પોતાનું રાજ્ય સોંપી અને મહારાજ ઋષભ દે દેવ અવધૂત માર્ગ ધારણ કરે છે. આ અધ્યાયમાં આપણે સાચો અવધૂત કેવો હોય અને ત્યાગનો સાચો અર્થ શું છે તે વાત સમજીશું. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/paurav-shukla/message

મહારાજ નાભીને ત્યાં ભગવાન વિષ્ણુ ભગવાનના વરદાનથી ભગવાન વિષ્ણુના જ રૂપ એવા ઋષભ દેવનો જન્મ થાય છે. તેમનું નામ ઋષભ એટલે કે શ્રેષ્ઠ રાખવામાં આવ્યું છે. બાળપણથી જ તેઓ પોતાનું તેજ અને પરાક્રમ દેખાડે છે. જ્યારે ઇન્દ્ર તેમના રાજ્યમાં ઈર્ષા વર્ષ વર્ષા કરવાનું રોકી દે છે, ત્યારે ઋષભદેવ પોતાની શક્તિથી આખા રાજ્યમાં વર્ષા ફેલાવે છે. આ અધ્યાયમાં આપણે ઋષભદેવના વંશજોની પણ વાત પણ સાંભળીશું. ઋષભદેવ જૈન ધર્મના પ્રથમ તીર્થંકર છે. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/paurav-shukla/message

પાંચમા સ્કંધના બીજા અધ્યાયમાં આપણે રાજા આગ્નીદ્રની કથા સાંભળીશું. તેઓ પ્રિયવ્રત ના પુત્ર છે. રાજા આગ્નીદ્રને પુત્ર પ્રાપ્તિની ઈચ્છા છે અને તે માટે તેઓ બ્રહ્માજીની તપસ્યા કરે છે. બ્રહ્માજી પ્રસન્ન થઈને પોતાની અપ્સરા પૂર્વચીતીને તેમની પાસે મોકલે છે. અપ્સરાથી મોહિત થઈ અને રાજા આગ્નીદ્ર એની સાથે વિવાહ કરે છે અને નવ પુત્રોને જન્મ આપે છે. આગ્નીદ્ર રાજા તરીકે ખૂબ કુશળ છે પણ એ જ સમયે તેઓ વિષય વાદી પણ છે. પોતાના પુણ્ય કાર્યોને લીધે તેમને વિષય લોક પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે તે પોતાના નવ પુત્રોની વચ્ચે જાંબુ દ્વીપ ને વહેંચી ને વિદાય લે છે.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/paurav-shukla/message

પાંચમા સ્કંધના પ્રથમ અધ્યાયમાં આપણે સર્વ પ્રથમ રાજા પ્રિયવ્રત નું ચરિત્ર સાંભળીશું. પ્રિયવ્રત એ સ્વયંભૂવ મનુ ના બીજા નંબરના પુત્ર છે ચોથા સ્કંધમાં આપણે મહારાજ ઉત્તાનપાદ ની કથા સાંભળી આ અધ્યાયમાં આપણે પ્રિયવ્રત અને એમના વંશજો ની વાત સાંભળીશું. પ્રિયવ્રત તે આત્મજ્ઞાની રાજા હતા. રાજ્ય એમની પ્રથમ પ્રાથમિકતા ન હતી છતાં પણ બ્રહ્માજી અને પોતાના પિતા સ્વાયંભુવ મનુની વાત સાંભળીને તેમણે રાજ્યનો સ્વીકાર કર્યો અને રાજ્યનો વિસ્તાર કર્યો. સૂર્ય સમાન શક્તિશાળી રાજા પ્રિયવ્રત પૃથ્વીનો સાત ખંડોમાં વિભાજન કર્યું અને પોતાના પુત્રને સોંપી. ત્યારબાદ તેઓ પોતાના પુત્રોને રાજ્ય સોંપી અને આધ્યાત્મની કેડીએ ચાલ્યા. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/paurav-shukla/message

After accomplishing their tasks on the Earth, prachetas left their wife and kids and went to the Western seafront for their penance. That is where they met Naradji and sri Naradji gave them the lost knowledge of spirtiualism again. In the second part of the exploring meaning of Puranjan's story, we understand another metaphorical story that talks about a deer. Through this story, Naradji attempts to make the King Prachinbruhi, why he needs to stop his killing of animals in the yagna and focus on the penance and bhakti towards the Lord Vishnu.
