Dan Dakich was live this afternoon from the Indiana Grand Racing and Casino as they get ready for this weekend's Indiana Derby.  If you are interested in horse racing, this show is for you!  (13:40 mark)  Coach Seth Greenberg of ESPN CBB chatted with Double D about the NBA Draft, Pacers, NBA Summer League and who will be early top teams heading into the college basketball year.  (43:06 mark) Anthony Calhoun of WISH-TV dropped by with DD to talk some horse racing and how they got involved with televising the Indiana Derby.  They will be doing it again this Saturday so make sure to check out coverage on WISH-TV.  (57:20 mark)  Horse Jockey DeShawn Parker stopped by live with Dan Dakich before his races today to talk about the sport of horse racing and this weekend's Indiana Derby at Indiana Grand Racing and Casino.  DeShawn is the all-time winning African American jockey in the history of horse racing with more than 5,200 career wins and won the 1st race today with horse Picante Caliente!  He is one of the jockeys competing in the “Kings of the Court” Friday Night against Indiana Pacers Lance Stephenson and Joe Young.  (1:19:19 mark)  Racing Rachel McLaughlin who is the on-air talent out at Indiana Grand Racing and Casino hung out with Double D for most of the last hour to talk horse racing, who her favorite horses are for today, this Saturday's Indiana Derby and why the Indiana Grand Racing and Casino is fit for all ages.  You must be 21 to place any bets though!  Thanks to the Indiana Grand Racing and Casino for having 1070 The Fan and The Dan Dakich Show on-site.

Dan Dakich opened the show today by talking about last night's electric Home Run Derby with the face of baseball winning, Aaron Judge.  Double D also commented on the latest article from Lee Jenkins' interview with Paul George.  (24:09 mark)  The Dean Mike Chappell of Indy Sports Central chatted with Dan regarding Andrew Luck's throwing arm and the earliest he could be ready.  (37:11 mark)  Chris Rose of Intentional Talk on the MLB Network dialed up the DD Show live from Marlins Park to discuss Aaron Judge hitting a ball 513 feet, if he is the face of baseball and what is happening with the Cubs.

Dan was fired up on a Monday and talked about the newest Indiana Pacer Cory Joseph and his potential impact on the team. (13:00 mark) Floyd Mayweather can't pay his taxes and Dan had no idea how that can happen for a guy making hundred of millions of dollars a fight. (23:00 mark) Vegas revealed 2017-2018 NBA over/unders and Dan couldn't believe where they had the Pacers. (32:00 mark) Dan broke down the Home Run Derby and discussed some sleepers and best betting odds.

Dan Dakich kicked off the Friday edition by debating what the most iconic gym in Indiana would be and why his list is much better than another list relased this week. (14:53 mark) ESPN Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman chimed in about the recent transactions that the Boston Celtics made when creating cap room for Gordon Hayward. (27:11 mark) Conrad Brunner would later sit in studio and gave his take on the Pacers and their free agent acquisitions along with his reaction to the Paul George trade. (56:55 mark) ESPN 30 for 30 producer and director Andy Billman joined later in the conversation with Dan as he talked about his experience with creating his latest 30 for 30 "Mike and the Mad Dog" and how Emmis Communications, our company owned by Jeff Smulyan originally started WFAN Sports Talk in NYC.  (1:27 mark)  Andrew Dakich called in to make it a full on family show with Dan, son Andrew and daughter Laura. (1:37:10 mark) Victor Oladipo of the Indiana Pacers joined Dan to end the show and discussed his mindset coming to the Pacers and how Russell Westbrook inspired his level of intensity.

(55:30 mark) Former Hoosier OG Anunoby and current Toronto Raptor called in to give the guys riveting insight on his time in the NBA Summer League, if a Drake concert will be free and if he has talked to Coach Tom Crean. (1:03:00 mark) Brooklyn Nets radio Play-by-Play announcer, Chris Carrino, talked with the show about his charity that he created, how they are riding bycicles across country and riding through Indianapolis today and how he lives his life with a muscular dystrophy disease . (1:19:20 mark) Finally, PxP man for the Indiana Pacers, Mark Boyle, openly admitted to his life of crime (petty) as a child and the current status of the Pacers and NBA.

Today's Dan Dakich Show started off with Caleb Swanigan from Purdue University who was recenlty drafted by the Portland Trailblazers calling in to talk about how he's adjusting to the NBA, playing with a chip on his shoulder, and potentially guarding Lebron James one day. Later on, Gold Medal winner, Lilly King called in (1:05 mark) and spoke with Dan about her controversial finger wag, life after the Olympics and what she ate the night before her big race. Double D came up with a new idea for the NBA Lottery (1:41:42 mark) that involves ping pong balls and we think you will agree.  If nothing else, it will make it more intersting and puts more pressure on teams.

Dan Dakich was in for a guest free show and talked all about NBA free agency including the Paul George to the OKC Thunder trade. (:41 mark) Dan and Producer Kyle debated on the GOAT rap group. (:49 mark) Dan and Producer Kyle looked at the Horn v. Pacquiao fight from last Saturday and if the judges got it wrong. (1:00 mark) Dan dissected whether or not Miles Turner could be a franchise player and if the Pacers can make the playoffs next year in a weak Eastern Conference.

Dan Dakich opened the show strong with the Pacers first round draft pick, TJ Leaf. (8:30 Mark) Dan and TJ discussed his first practice with the team, growing up playing basketball and if he has a celebrity dating life coming from UCLA and now in the NBA. (51:30 Mark) Next, Stugotz of The Dan Le Batard Show on ESPN Radio/ESPN U jokingly talked about who called Chris Paul a fraud first, NBA free agency, LBJ when he was in Miami and where Andrew Luck ranks among current NFL quarterbacks.  (1:07 minute mark) Mike Wells of ESPN NFL Nation stopped by to give an update on Andrew Luck's injury plus the news last night with what was most likely a hacked tweet from the account of Colts owner Jim Irsay.  (1:18:08 mark)  Finally, Indiana native Josh Lindblom of the Indianapolis Indians told Dan Dakich and listeners his story about his career in Korea, how his daughter brought him back to the states, playing for the Pirates and ultimately being back in Indy because of the incredible doctors, nurses and surgeons at Riley Children's Hospital.

(44:34 mark) Former Southport High School and Purdue baseball player and recently called up Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Cameron Perkins talked with Dan to end the show to discuss the challenges of adapting to the major leagues and what it was like coming across some stars in MLB.

(7:42 mark) Casey Stern from NBA TV joined in later in the show to talk with Dan about what to expect from the NBA Draft and who is most likely on the move via trade come draft night. (24:10 mark) Mike Wells of ESPN.com would join at the end of the show to give his opinion on tanking in the NBA and the risk of playing the NBA Draft Lottery.
