It's March Madness and two of our favorite coaches to have on the show every year are Coach Frank Martin at South Carolina and Coach Gregg Marshall at Wichita State.  Both coaches are tough and hold their players accountable on a daily basis.  Frank and Gregg both joined Dan Dakich this afternoon to talk about their respective teams, ways they go about coaching and handling daily business with the team.  And last but not least, Andrew Dakich of the Michigan Wolveriness called in right after the win over Illinois today in the B1G Tournament, plus commented about how scary the airplane situation was yesterday afternoon and how lucky they all were to be safe.  Dad and Son also talked if they will play the next round in their practice uniforms.

1070 The Fan's Jeff Rickard hosted the Dan Dakich Show this afternoon due to Dan being in D.C. and having a game to call at 4:30.  Butler Coach Chris Holtmann called in for his regular 12:20 and this time they discussed the upcoming Big East Tournament.  Former Pacers big man Scot Pollard talked with Jeff about why he is in Boston for the TV Show Survivor reunion, thoughts on the Pacers and why Myles Turner is going to be great.  Eddie White of the Pacers Post-Game Show talked to Jeff regarding the current state of the Pacers, why they were up and down and also thoughts on the NFL Combine last week.  Lastly, NHRA Top Fuel driver for Don Schumacher Racing Leah Pritchett called in to talk about winning back to back races this year, being a woman in this sport plus the races Labor Day weekend at Lucas Oil Raceway.

Mike Chappell of Indy Sports Central, CBS 4 and Fox 59 talked with Dan Dakich today about the latest retiree of the Colts Joe Reitz announcing he is leaving the sport and team this afternoon.  Dan and Mike also chatted about Mike Adams being let go and who might be next. Now former O-Lineman of the Indianapolis Colts Joe Reitz called into Dan Dakich earlier this afternoon about his retirement from the organization and football, why he decided this was the right time and what he plans on doing with life after the NFL.  Dan and Joe also talked about his college career in basketball and how much he enjoys watching college hoops and March Madness. Two former college basketball coaches, Dan Dakich and Seth Greenberg, had a great conversation Tuesday afternoon about everything conference tournaments, March Madness and what teams are on the bubble. Former Executive Vice President for Championships and Alliances with the NCAA and Division I Men's Basketball Greg Shaheen had a conversation with Dan Dakich today on if IU has a chance to get in if they make a run in the B1G Tourney, other teams on the bubble and who are the top teams in hoops as we get ready for March Madness. Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune dropped by the Dan Dakich Show to talk about his Northwestern Wildcats, March Madness and what their record was when he was a freshman in school.  Dan and Teddy also discussed his two day story with a few B1G referees and if the Cubs can repeat this season.   Lee Fitting who is in charge of everything college hoops, CFB and ESPN's College Gameday talked with Dan Dakich about the 24 hour marathon coverage ESPN will have after Selection Sunday, comments about the network regarding coverage, March Madness and a new concept for college football.   Mike Fox who was in charge of Lucas Oil Stadium, RCA Dome and Hoosier Dome and also Dan's roommate at IU in college conversed with Double D about his career path change to join the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Mike commented about how hard it has been leaving a place and people that mean so much to him.

Don Fischer of the IU Radio Network talked with Dan Dakich today about the win at Ohio State, where the Big Ten stands as a conference and the Hoosiers' tournament resume, plus golf and world number one Dustin Johnson.  You can hear Don Fischer tonight on Inside Indiana Basketball with Tom Crean at 7:05 on FM 107.5. Iowa basketball Head Coach Fran McCaffery talked with Dan Dakich about his team's turnaround, their strengths, the strong play by his freshmen and the Hawkeyes' upcoming Big Ten Tournament game against IU. Dave Revsine of the Big Ten Network dropped by The Dan Dakich Show to chat about his Northwestern Wildcats, who are the top teams in the conference and who might win the upcoming tournament later this week.  You can either catch Dave doing PxP for the Big Ten Network or in-studio during games.
