Training Trick:   For training this week, I want you to practice dry firing with your non dominate hand.  As a well rounded shooter, you must be able to shoot confidently with both hands.  Practise dry firing with your non dominate hand unsupported.  Non dominate hand only.  As you feel more confident pulling that trigger with your non dominate hand, try out the penny drill by balancing a penny on the end of your barrel as you pull the trigger. FBI Agent Raises Issue As To Whether Off-Duty Officers Should Be Allowed To Carry Weapons In Nebraska Schools The FBI is investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy from Northern California after Santa Rosa police officers shot and killed him. Police say Andy Lopez was carrying a pellet gun that looked like an AK-47 when they confronted him. Witnesses say they heard the sheriff's deputies order Lopez to put down the gun twice. One of the deputies opened fire when, he said, he thought Lopez aimed the gun at him. Community Asks why not less lethal used? Why someone who has been an officer for 20 years not trained to identify a toy gun vs a real gun. FBI investigates fatal police shooting of 13-year-old School Shooting Arapahoe County (Colo.) Sheriff Grayson Robinson said Friday that a school shooting suspect has been found and is dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at Arapahoe High School in suburban Denver. According to the sheriff, a gunman entered the high school asking for a specific teacher and afterwards two students were shot Interesting video, man pulls gun after road rage incident. The video starts after the man has followed the truck full of teens after 40 mins...Gets out and throws the first punch and get more than he expected by two of the teens. Then the mans wife comes into the picture handing him a gun, in the hand-off the gun is fired...then he points it at the teens. What are your thoughts? Should vs Could... Training Trick:  Let talk workspace!!!  We will be working on reloads this week.  I want to focus on dry fire reloads.  I cant stress safety enough when we are handling firearms.  It is very important that you work these drills slowly and focus on keeping your muzzle “down range”. Workspace...what and where is it.  Basically, when reloading a handgun, your work space is above the nipple line.  the purpose of this is to keep your head up and your eyes focused on your surroundings.  Never take your eyes off potential threats. Practice reloads keeping your gun, head and eyes up.
