Training Trick:  This weeks training trick should be simple.  This will be a dry fire drill.  Clear your firearm and makes sure no live ammo is around during this drill. If possible, pull your personnel vehicle into your garage so no one will see you practicing this drill. We are going to work on drawing from concealment inside your vehicle.  Imagine if someone approached your vehicle and you were boxed in unable to flee.  If you had to draw from concealment to protect your life, could you?  Lets find out.  Practice drawing and dry firing while sitting in your vehicle.  Practice as if confrontation came from all sides of your vehicle. How exactly would one go about protecting loved ones, when there could be an intruder between you and your child?  I understand that confrontation is a last resort. Drop down to 1 second. 3 yards: From a low ready position, shoot one round in the center of the head in two seconds. Drop down to 1.5 seconds and then go down to 1 second. 3 yards: Repeat the drill, from the holster. Use different hand start positions so you don't just practice with hands in one position. Work down to 1.5 seconds. 3 yards: Repeat the drills, this time firing two shots in head. Training Trick:   This weeks trick will have us working on trigger basics along with muzzle control.  You will load one round into the handgun and then remove the magazine.  We will be pulling the trigger twice.  Aim for a target that will challenge your accuracy.  Then slowly, working on the fundamentals of good trigger control and site alignment, squeeze the trigger.  Your slide should reset into battery and immediately follow up your shot with a second shot.  Observe the muzzle.  Did we have any rise or dropping of the muzzle due to anticipation of the next shot?
