Welcome to Tactical Paradise!!!  I’m your host Greg Bakken.  In this podcast we’ll talk about all things tactical from everyday carry, to the mindset of armed citizens, real life situations and scenarios and the gear that will help you survive.  This is episode 23. Craig- Greg Look at N82 holsters, the pro only with kydex.  I have several of them EDC is Kimber 1911 or Walther PPS or Sig 938.  The N82 is guaranteed for life and is the most comfortable over my crossbreed super tucks that i like too. I have CB holsters for all model handguns I own, CB is my Second favorite though.  N82 is very secure, easy to draw and easy to re-holster. The best point is easy to dress easy to undress with one clip. Second, check out UTAS.  I had a KSG and does not compare to UTAS UTS-15.  The reviews on UTAS are not accurate.  Try UTAS before you buy a KSG.  If you pass through NC you can try mine.  We did a side by side test at the range.  We have 3 that all if us have put many rds in without issue.  Local PD is looking at them now for a patrol shotgun.  UTAS stands behind their weapons and they are easy to contact.  I have tested them - they are very responsive.  I have the light laser package installed. It was Half price of the KSG Pocket gun is back up is S&W bodyguard .380 it is small, light, double action and pretty much last ditch for $400 or less.  Wear it at the beach, on the boat anywhere.  Not afraid to get it wet or dirty pretty much it will go off if I get to that point. Good luck in your search.  Really look at N82 from right here in NC. You won't be disappointed.  If PU don't like it return it. Gear Guide:  S&W Bodyguard 380 Main Topic:  Holster Talk N82 Holsters Galco Kingtuk Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe White Hat Holsters Gun Safety: 1) Always treat a gun as if it were loaded. 2) Always point a gun in a safe direction. 3) Know your target and beyond. 4) Keep your finger off the trigger unless you intend to shoot. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER!!!! Training Trick:  Shooter fires six rounds at a 3x5 card at his or her own pace for maximum accuracy. At three yards, the goal is to have all six bullet holes touching. After that, move to 5 yards, then have all shots hit the card. If all six shots hit the card, increase to the next distance, 7 yards, 10 yards, 15 yards and so on. Matt - My EDC equipment is Glock 19 during the winter or when wearing a jacket of some sort Glock 26 during the summer Carry them in a Galco Kingtuk or Extra Glock 19 Magazine KaBar TDI knife SOG Aegis . As far as what I want next I am looking for a Sig 229R, Ruger 10/22, or Remington 700 SPS .308.  Leaning more towards the 229R because I love handguns.. I know this is a lot but I also want to tell you how awesome your podcast is. I download it as soon as it becomes available and listen to it that same day on the way to work.  You give awesome insight to things and make your podcast fun to listen to and not all political or all gear stuff.  It is also nice to hear someone that is so enthusiastic about firearms like myself but doesn't have a safe the size of a house with everything imaginable and the most expensive. This shows that you can be into firearms, gear, and tactics without having the most expensive stuff.  Keep up the awesome work and keep the podcasts coming.  TPP 019 – Picking an Instructor | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 30:09

Welcome to Tactical Paradise!!!  I’m your host Greg Bakken.  In this podcast we’ll talk about all things tactical from everyday carry, to the mindset of armed citizens, real life situations and scenarios and the gear that will help you survive.  This is episode 19. Gear Guide:  Elzetta Flashlights GunGuyRadio Interview Elzetta disassembled under water Main Topic:  Picking an Instructor I never really thought about it beforehand, but picking a quality ccw instructor is just as important as picking out your carry gun. Instructors will mold you and shape you more than you realize.  It is important to pick an instructor that can teach you everything you will  need to know.  If they don’t teach you, most likely you will never know what you missed. The thought of how important a quality instructor is never crossed my mind until I was sitting in class and realized my instructor was not answering the questions I had in my head. When can I use my gun? Where can I not carry? Where is the best place to carry on my body? How should I carry my gun? What kind of ammo should I use? Should I carry a spare magazine? What holster should I buy? Can I use my gun to deter crime? What happens after I use my gun? Can I leave my gun in the car? Can I carry my gun loaded? Should I have a round in the chamber? CalCCW Forum Utah Concealed Carry Forum Texas CHL Forum Gun Safety: 1) Always treat a gun as if it were loaded. 2) Always point a gun in a safe direction. 3) Know your target and beyond. 4) Keep your finger off the trigger unless you intend to shoot. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER!!!! Training Trick:   I want you to practice sidestepping as you draw your handgun from the holster.  The purpose of this is to move out of the way of an attacker.  Getting off the “X” if you will.  You can do this with live fire or dry fire.  Stand in a casual manner then quickly sidestep while drawing your handgun and fire 2 rounds.  Re holster and repeat.
