Season 6, Episode 76 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get right to putting our final touches on the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday playoff loss to the Denver Broncos. Specifically, we go through all of the incompletions that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had in the game. After wrapping up the playoff game, David and I move on to talk about what head coach Mike Tomlin had to say Wednesday during his final press conference of the season. We go over the long list of players who will have surgery soon and also talk about those who are on their way back from previous surgeries. We bring you up to date on all of the recent transactions that have taken place since Sunday as well. Tomlin had some thoughts on cornerback Senquez Golson and Cortez Allen so we spend a little time discussing those two players as it relates to each’s future. Two national articles about the Steelers caught are eyes early this week so we fully discuss both of them in the second half of the show. The first has to deal with running back Le’Veon Bell and the pros and cons related to signing him to a long-term extension this offseason while the second is primarily focused on how the Steelers manage their salary cap. Season 6, Episode 75 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get right to recapping the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday playoff loss to the Denver Broncos. We go over the game top to bottom in this show and that includes us talking about the play of several players in the game. We also discuss whether or not the shoulder injury that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was dealing with had any effect on the game. Wide receiver Markus Wheaton certainly didn’t have a good game as the team’s punt returner so we discuss that in addition to the poor play by the Steelers special teams unit throughout the game. We move on to talk about the two fourth downs that head coach Mike Tomlin decided to go for instead of kicking field goals and whether or not those calls were the right ones. Rookie wide receiver Sammie Coates gets some love for his play Sunday in this podcast as well. While the Steelers defense played well for most of the game, we discuss the one crucial drive where they didn’t that took place after running back Fitzgerald Toussaint fumbled. Season 6, Episode 74 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get right to talking about Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown being ruled out Friday morning for the Sunday playoff game against the Denver Broncos with a concussion. With Brown now out, rookie wide receiver Sammie Coates will dress in his place so we discuss how many offensive snaps we expect him to play against the Broncos. Will the Steelers dress three quarterbacks Sunday with starter Ben Roethlisberger questionable with a shoulder injury? After rolling through the possible inactives for the game, David and I come to the conclusion that there’s a good chance that happens. We move on to give our final thoughts on the upcoming game against the Broncos and discuss what the Steelers will need to do on both sides of the football in order to beat the odds and win on the road minus their best wide receiver and an injured starting quarterback. Several teams have now hired new head coaches so David and I recap those moves and what it means for several of the organizations. We talk a little about the comments Jason Whitlock made this past week about head coach Mike Tomlin before finally getting to our picks for this weekend’s divisional round of the playoffs. Season 6, Episode 73 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get right to talking about the injuries the Pittsburgh Steelers are currently dealing with as they start preparing for their Sunday playoff game against the Denver Broncos. We go over the injury report that head coach Mike Tomlin gave on Tuesday in addition to talking about what quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had to say Wednesday about his shoulder injury during his talk with the media. We move on to give our final thoughts on the Steelers win over the Cincinnati Bengals Saturday night and that includes us talking about the incident that included linebackers coach Joey Porter. Season 6, Episode 72 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get right to recapping the Pittsburgh Steelers Wild Card game win over the Cincinnati Bengals Saturday night after first going over the injuries suffered in the contest. Will quarterback Ben Roethlisberger play Sunday against the Denver Broncos? We both think he will. The Saturday night game included several questionable penalties so we go over all of them and whether or not each were justified. We move on to talk about the play of the Steelers offense against the Bengals and that includes us focusing in on the Roethlisberger as well as running backs Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman. We also discuss the contributions made by wide receiver Martavis Bryant in the game. When we move over to talking about the Steelers defense, David and I discuss the play of several individual players on that side of the football that impacted the game and that includes us discussing linebackers Ryan Shazier, Jarvis Jones and Bud Dupree. We also discuss the play of the secondary and try to decipher what happened on the late touchdown pass to Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green. We wrap up the show up with some final thoughts about the game and especially on what happened in the final two minutes.
