Episodio 111: Cindy Toledo Philantherapist & Fundadora de Mambé | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:01:27

B”H ¿Alguna vez escucharon de centros de innovación y desarrollo sostenible? Bienvenidas a Jewish Latin Princess. ¿No?  Episode 109: Meeting of the Minds with Bari Mitzman, Chani Erenthreu & Franciska | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:01:42

B”H Welcome to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Today I have a special episode for you. I’m kicking off the new year getting together with Creative Entrepreneurs and fellow podcast hosts Chani Erenthreu, Bari Mitzman and Francisca. What did we talk about? Well, something that is not often discussed but as you will see from our conversation, it’s actually quite important: money and our financial lives. This is the first of a series of collaborations that the four of us are doing. We’ve called it a Meeting of the Minds. And I look forward to being on their respective shows. Chani hosts the podcast Boss Maidel, Bari hosts The Woman of Valor Podcast and Franciska hosts The Franciska Show. So, be sure to check those out and you will catch me there in the next three weeks or so – give or take some changes with the choppy Tishrei schedule – speaking about different topics. As I said, the topic that I discuss today with these lovely ladies is money, personal finance. And I have to tell you these women were brave. First of all, we kicked off our series of four “Meetings of the Minds”, with probably the hardest topic. Second, they had absolutely no prep whatsoever. Third,  being so early in the game we did not all know each other yet and hadn’t developed the same chemistry and love for hanging out together as we developed over time. I mean, to say that our closure on our fourth show together over at The Woman of Valor Podcast was bitter sweet is not an understatement. We totally wanted to stay talking to each other more. So, all that to say that I am so incredibly proud of Chani, Bari and Franciska for having done this, as you’ll hear very little feedback from me. In a way I felt like I threw them under the bus because given that this was our first time recording together – so many of us together – it was tricky for me to manage how much to add to what they were saying. One, because I needed to be mindful of the audio tracks and not speak over them otherwise you can’t hear them. And also, because I needed to be mindful of the time. But, I think you know where I stand on many of these questions and if not, I’m happy to share and talk more about this on future Jewish Latin Princess episodes. I’m thrilled with what you’re about to hear – this entire conversation. Because despite the fact that my guests are younger than I am, in some cases a lot younger than I am, these ladies have their head on straight when it comes to money. We talk about spending, saving, earning, how do we manage it within our marriage, lessons learned, tzedakah and more. My guests were very honest and as you’ll soon hear very relatable. Here’s Chani Erentroy, Bari Mtizmanm, and Franciska.   You may also like | Puede que también te gusteDina Hurwitz: A Story of Hope and InspirationEpisode 55, Nikki Schreiber, Creator of Humans of Judaism

Episode 108: Talia Carner, Author of The Third Daughter & Human Rights Advocate | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:11:52

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch, your Host, welcome to the show. Today’s guest is Talia Carner. Talia is a fiction writer who gives voice to those without one in society. She creates awareness, opens people’s eyes to human rights’ issues, and paves the way for social change.  Her advocacy work has taken her to the United Nations as the first person to ever present at the U.N., on Infanticide in China. A tireless advocate for human rights, Talia just published a new novel, titled The Third Daughter. Inspired by Shalom Aleichem’s short story, “The Man From Buenos Aires,” The Third Daughter tells the story of a young Jewish woman, and many like her at the turn of the 20th century, who were lured from antisemitic pogroms in Russia into Buenos Aires, Argentina with the promise of a good life, only to be forced into a life of prostitution and abuse.  Before turning to fiction writing full-time, Talia worked for Redbook magazine, and was the publisher of Savvy Woman magazine. A former adjunct professor at the Long Island University School of Management, and a marketing consultant to Fortune 500 companies, she was also a volunteer counselor and lecturer for the Small Business Administration and a member of United States Information Agency’s (USIA) missions to Russia. She participated in the 1995 International Women’s Conference in Beijing, where she sat on economic panels and helped develop political campaigns for Indian and African women.  Today Talia talks to us about the social problem that she tackled in her latest book, The Third Daughter, and one which is far from extinct today: sex trafficking. What is being done about this issue? What needs to be done and who are the players taking positive action to combat this social disease? How did Talia end up becoming such a fierce human rights advocate? What is her next project? Her love of Israel, family life, JLP Fill in the blanks and more. Here’s the fascinating Talia Carner.  You can purchase The Third Daughter here and find Talia at taliacarner.com.   You may also like | Puede que también te gusteTu B’Shvat FashionEducating Kids Part 1220: Listeners’ Stories with podcast listeners’ Solomon Berezin and Robin MeyersonTucker & Jewish Latin Princess Holiday Fashion GiveawayEpisode 21: Julie Starr, Founder of Possibility Life Coaching for Women B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch, your Host, welcome to the show.  Episode 107: Ask Yael with Special Co-host Kayla Levin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 39:31

B”H Today is a special episode on Jewish Latin Princess Podcast because it’s Ask Yael time, one of my favorites. This is when I answer your questions, about Jewish life, motherhood, finances, spirituality and more. Today we have a lot of questions to tackle, most of them came through my Instagram  @yaeltrusch where you direct message me. This is what’s on listeners minds today: How does a “money date” take place? And what if my husband is not into discussing and paying attention to our personal finances too much? Do these money dates suggest we’re leaving G-d out of the picture? A career in art and finance – can you help me find it? Self doubt and rejection, how do we deal with it? Loosing my cool with my young kids way too often. What do I do? And to help me tackle these questions from listeners, I share the mic with special co-host Kayla Levin.  Episode 106: Lindsey Pollak, Author of The Remix & Multigenerational Workplace Expert | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:28

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m your host, Yael Trusch, welcome back everyone! And if you’re new to the show, well welcome! I know that after my presentation, Insights from a Celebrated Podcast Host, which I gave a few weeks ago at the 14th Annual National Jewish Retreat and which you may have heard on Episode 105 of this podcast, I have a few new listeners, so welcome to the show. Happy to have you here joining us. My guest today is Lindsey Pollak. She’s a leading expert on the millennial generation and today’s multi-generational workplace. Lindsey is a New York Times bestselling author of Becoming The Boss – New Rules for the Next Generation of Leaders, and Getting from College to Career: Your Essential Guide to Succeeding in the World. And she’s just launched her new book, The Remix: How to Lead and Succeed in the Multigenerational Workplace. Lindsey has spoken at Facebook, LinkedIn, Yale, Harvard, Wharton, Stanford. She’s been on The Today Show, The New York Times CNN NPR and now I’m proud to say, Jewish Latin Princess. She’s often called a translator, she advises organizations and individuals on how to thrive in today’s multigenerational workplace. We talk about what that looks like today, how that multigenerational workplace is unique, something unprecedented. And what are some of the keys to multigenerational success in the workplace. The roles of fundamentals and what does change really look like when embraced properly. What we can learn from Millennials, as well as what they can be doing better. Lindsey says, the onus is not all on the older generation. We all have a responsibility to manage relationships with our co-workers from different generations. So, how do we do that in the best way possible? Lindsey is here to tell us. And, what do you know, a lot of it goes back to a fundamental Jewish idea. So, let’s hear her, here we go ladies, here’s Lindsey Pollak.   You can find Lindsey’s latest book here and reach Lindsey at lindseypollak.com   You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 133: Hedy Pagremanski, Part 1193: A Deeper Look at Maaser (Tithing) – Daily Minisode220: Listeners’ Stories with podcast listeners’ Solomon Berezin and Robin Meyerson

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Ladies, I’m back from the 14th Annual National Jewish Retreat and I think I’m still flying. What an incredible experience!  Episode 104: Devorah Sisso, Speaker & Creator of Breakthrough | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:21

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch your Host! Today we have a friend of the show, Devorah Sisso. Devorah was with us back in Episode 11. So much has happened since then. For one, Devorah has moved to Israel, to Eretz Israel, she’s revamped her signature course Breakthrough and she’s also created a mini course based on the concepts in breakthrough but involving the Torah’s views on physical health. She’s called it Breakthorugh Body, a 14 day detox meant not just to clear toxins clogging your body, but also, clear your mind, boost your energy and allow for more mental and spiritual transformations to occur. Sounds great to me! And when I heard about it, I said, “You have to come tell the Jewish Latin Princess audience!” It’s not the first time I hear about people doing detoxes which are not just physical, but that ultimately help them spiritually as well. Devorah and I explore this further. And listen till the end cuz she’s offering you all a 10% discount on Breakthrough Body, which starts again on Sept. 8th. We also talk about her move to Eretz Israel and she gives some words of wisdom for those contemplating the move. Interestingly, I asked Devorah a question that I don’t ask of all my guests, and during our discussion on a Joyful, Richer, Jewish life, she felt I told her exactly what she needed to hear. Talk about things being Divine Providence! Here we go ladies, here’s the lovely Devorah Sisso.   You can find devorah @devorah_sisso on Instagram. Sign up for Breakthough Body with the special Jewish Latin Princess discount of 10% off, right here or jewishlatinprincess.com/breakthroughbody.  Episode 103: Abbey Wolin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:58

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, welcome to the show! How’s your summer going? Mine is great! Although I won’t lie, it’s a bit intense around here, between me trying to get ready for the National Jewish Retreat, where I’ll be speaking four times, on different subjects, and getting my kids ready for sleep away camp etc. Definitely a lot going on. And today’s guest knows all about that. I have the wonderful Abbey Wolin. Abbey is a dynamic business coach, who wasn’t always a coach. In fact, she’s learned about business in the school of hard knocks. Like many of us, she’s had to pivot several times. She’s had to push herself out of her comfort zone in order to build a business that was scalable, and profitable. But as she achieved this, she also realized that she loves teaching women how to do this; how to build businesses, so she launched the 30 Day Biz Challenge and became the Program Coordinator for the JWE or Jewish Woman  Entrepreneur. Org. Most recently, this past June, Abbey launched AbbeyTRL – an online community where she hopes to help women live The Real Life. Abbey takes us through her entire entrepreneurial journey. What was the turning point in her business as an artist? How did the challenge of having a special needs child change the way she was operating as an entrepreneur? We talk about the hot topic of encouraging female entrepreneurship, while making sure we are not discounting the importance of women’s roles as the central figure of family life. Shalom Bayit – peace in the home – and entrepreneurship… Abbey gets real and honest with us! Now that Abbey has figured out making money in business, how would she grade herself when it comes to managing her money? What is next for Abbey, and so much more. Listen up ladies, you will learn so much from the vibrant and charismatic, Abbey Wolin.  You can find Abbey at www.abbeywolin.com and on Instagram @abbeywolin If you’d like to join the National Jewish Retreat, use the code JLP at checkout at jretreat.com to get $50/per person discount.   You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 78: Chanie Wilschanski, Founder of Discovered ConsultingEpisode 86: Chaya Mushka Ben-Shabat, Founder & CEO Menachem Mendel AcademyEpisode 97: Yaeli VogelEpisode 14: Amanda Steinberg, Author of WORTH ITEpisode 87: Jessica Kupferman, Expert in Connection & Influence, Co-Founder of She Podcasts B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess.  Episode 102: Libby Kiszner, Author and Writing Coach | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:47

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch your host. Today I have the author of a new book for teen girls, Dear Libby, Will You Answer My Questions about Friendship?, Libby Kiszner. Frankly, the book is not just for girls, I’ve read it myself (as has my daughter) and I really enjoyed it. Libby has written other books and she’s also a Writing Coach with a unique approach to creativity and the craft of writing. Much to learn here on how to really create from a place of calm – admittedly, I seem to have a lot of work to do in this area. But, this is something that Libby practices herself and teaches her clients to do. Where did the idea of this book come from? Why a universal message, rather than a more overt Jewish book, this time around? We dive into her coaching and we explore her mindset when it came to choosing a career in writing. In particular, how money was never part of the though process and where did that mentality come from? Libby experienced her father going bankrupt when she was a teen and then building tremendous wealth. We unpack all that. What’s next for Libby Kiszner? Is she “drinking her own medicine”? And speaking about medicine, I apologize for my congested voice throughout this interview. If you follow me on Instagram Stories you may know that I’ve been sick for a while with a sinus situation that really knocked me down, but at some point I had to get back to work and I’ve done a lot of interviews while drinking tea. Hopefully by the time this airs, I will be completely healthy. Here we go ladies, here’s Libby Kiszner.  You can find the book here.  Episode 101: Margie Szerer, Creator of Live a Little Higher | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:54

B”H What happens when two Jewish Latin Princesses get together behind the mic? We assumed we’d make a party, and yes, there was much laughter and celebration, but true to our Latin roots, there were some tears as well. We Latins we feel those emotions! You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch, your Host, I have Margie Szerer on the show. Margie is a Torah Educator for many years, originally from Colombia, then transplanted to Miami and most recently New York City, where we met. She’s the creator of Live a Little Higher, an amazing online platform of Torah Learning where you can access everything from Weekly torah portion, to mystical teachings, to Ethics of Our Fathers, marriage… I mean, so much. And of course, the celebration of Jewish life continues onto Instagram, where Margie has a page with the same name: @livealittlehigher. Margie and I connected first in the online world, and then during my latest trip to New York I surprised her at one of her Torah Classes in the Upper East Side of Manhattan – I just showed up unannounced – our mutual friend Nikki Schreiber creator of Humans of Judaism and guest on this show back on Episode 55, thought that would be a good idea. And it was; we had a great time! So Margie tells us today how she became a Torah Educator. But before that, or as you’ll hear today, very much in tandem with that, she became a Torah observant Jew. So we go through that fascinating journey, one she definitely was not planning on. The role of her husband in all this. Margie reminds us that marriage is a partnership in every sense of the word. How does Margie define a “Joyful, Richer, Jewish life? Daily habits that keep Margie nourished, connected, grounded? There are spiritual ones, but then there’s a super surprising one – it wasn’t surprising to me, because well I get her, we’re very similar people – but I was very happy she brought it up. So, listen carefully. And of course, hear us cry – after all we’re Latin. Ok Ladies, here we go, here’s the lovely Margie Szerer.   You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 36: Yael Trusch, Going Beyond: Living a Joyful, Richer, Jewish LifeEpisode 71: Chaya Hinda Allen, Educator & Transformation CoachEpisode 107: Ask Yael with Special Co-host Kayla LevinEpisode 95: Ask YaelEpisode 19: Sarah Chana Radcliffe, Parenting Expert B”H What happens when two Jewish Latin Princesses get together behind the mic?  Episode 98: Adena Mark Kapon, Founder of A to Z Events Israel | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:42

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m your host Yael Trusch. You hire an event planner to take care of all the details of your event and you know what else she takes care off, if she’s really good? She can navigate a lot of the personal relations and emotions that any big milestone involving family will bring to the surface. And that’s an art in and of itself. My guest, Adena Mark Kapon, Founder of A to Z Events Israel, is highly successful at this, and at delivering the most stunning events in the Land of Israel for clients.   Her clients come from all over the world with excitement and the normal tensions of not knowing how they will get it done. But done they will, at least if they work with Adena. She walks us through the beginning of her business and the natural growth process that has occurred. She didn’t jump head on, she took steps to learn the ropes before she went on her own and she was humble and confident to ask a lot of questions and seek advice along the way (something we all should do). How does she make the final decision when she’s wondering if she should take on a client or not? I wasn’t expecting this answer, but boy do I admire what she had to say! Episode 97: Yaeli Vogel | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 36:49

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m your host Yael Trusch, welcome to the show. You know I love art, right? I think I must have been an artist in a past life. It’s definitely an untapped potential of mine. My father was an artist, he later on moved into photography and it was something encouraged at home although much like Yaeli – my guest today – I also received messages about art not being the financially responsible thing to do… Yet, Yaeli, Yaeli Vogel, in a short three to four years has transitioned into art as her life’s work and business. Yaeli is  a self taught artist. Her art is full of layers, depth, movement and color. Yaeli is an Israeli born artist, now based in New York, who brings her unique contemporary artistic vision and expressionistic technique to a wide variety of Jewish subjects including weddings, Jerusalem, and Biblical images. Yaeli works across multiple media including acrylics and watercolors. How did that transition occur? Pay close attention to the challenges, the support system and more, because we can learn a lot Yaeli’s story regardless of what you do. How did Yaeli get Ivanka Trump to acquire one of her paintings? Creativity and discipline? How do they go together and why? Here’s a beautiful conversation with Yaeli Vogel.   You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 20: Rebecca Schweiger, Artist & Founder of The Art Studio NYEpisode 103: Abbey WolinEpisode 18: Robin Saex Garbose, Film Writer, Producer & DirectorEpisode 60: Barbara Hines, Visual Artist & PhilanthropistJennifer Pittsford Art & Giveaway B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m your host Yael Trusch, welcome to the show.
