Episode 9: Rena Reiser, Intuitive Eating Coach | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 42:47

B”H Welcome Back after Shavuot! I hope you all had a good holiday. Are you perhaps feeling guilty about all the cheesecake and blintzes you ate during the Holiday? Maybe you didn’t celebrate Shavuot, but you went away for Memorial Day weekend and indulged in a way that has left you feeling out of sorts. Can someone relate to feelings of guilt, shame, uneasiness around food, around weight… obsessive thoughts about what we put in our mouths and what we don’t? Today, I have a very open and raw conversation about this topic with Rena Reiser. Rena is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and the founder of Mind Over Munchies. She has changed the lives of countless women all over the world who have tried dieting, and are “fed up” of being distracted by food. If you are a woman looking to create a healthy relationship with food, leave diets behind, and reject the diet mentality for good, you must listen to today’s show. Through her Intuitive Eating coaching, Rena helps women truly get pleasure from the food they are eating, feel at peace and ease with themselves. As you will hear from today’s interview, Rena’s work is greatly emotional and deeply spiritual, and it’s positive effects will ripple further than your relationship with food into other areas of your life. I am thrilled to have found Rena and her work, and am so appreciative of her sensitivity, her warmth and honesty. Today, you will hear about her own journey, learn about Intuitive Eating – what is it and what it’s not – and hear Rena’s wise take on one powerful confession I made of something that shocked me coming into the religious world. You can find Rena at www.towardsahealthybalance.com and you can access her program, A Taste of Intuitive Eating for FREE during the next four weeks, until July 4th, using the code JLPFREE at checkout. Today’s interview will illuminate you in many ways. Here’s Rena Reiser.  Episode 8: Debbie Sassen, Financial Planner & Money Coach | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 42:24

B”H Welcome back to another episode of Jewish Latin Princess Podcast! I am working like crazy this week to leave Jewish Latin Princess, Blog and Podcast sort of on autopilot during the month of June, and hopefully take some time off to spend with my children before they begin camp. I have a lot of amazing women on the show in June, so stay tune for that. Today, I’m bringing you an interview which was originally a video interview because a lot of you are new here and are coming directly to the Podcast. In that case Welcome! I’m so happy to have you here. And more importantly, because this is quite an important interview and I want all of you to have access to it. Today, I speak with Debbie Sassen, Financial Planner and Money Coach. Debbie and I talk about her journey from being a high powered financial executive managing quite a significant portfolio of investments for the Bank of Israel, to a point in her life where she realized that her own finances were quite messy. How she woke up to that reality and took actions to slowly change that for herself, and even decided to start helping others to manage their own money. We discuss why women are lagging behind when it comes to money, and what we need to do to start changing that. Debbie’s work is magnificent in that she truly cares, and because she truly cares, she acknowledges that her clients most often need to do a lot of emotional work around their money — it’s not all dollars and cents when it comes to money – and Debbie and I talk about what that process is like for people. We talk about the concept of under-earning specifically as it relates to women, and by the way if you would like to expand on that concept, I recommend you go back to Epidose 4 with Barbara Stanny, the author of Overcoming Underearning and read that book as well. To any of my listeners who are still young and are starting their professional lives, Debbie gives practical advice. And my favorite part of this interview was Debbie’s insightful, yet practical tip, which helps her strengthen her faith in G-d. Thank You, Debbie, for that tip, which I use myself every day during my morning blessings. There’s a lot of helpful information in this interview, so let’s get to it: Debbie Sassen, Money Coach!  Episode 7: Shimona Tzukernik, The Kabbalah Coach | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:15

B”H Do you think Judaism does not have what to offer you in terms of spirituality? Are you spiritually inclined, but think spirituality can be achieved through other traditions? Or perhaps, you’re super practical and don’t think Jewish spirituality has much to offer you because, “who has time for that stuff?” I think today’s interview will be insightful, no matter which of those camps you’re holding on. Today, I speak with Shimona Tzukernik, The Kabalah Coach. We go through her journey to becoming a renowned motivational speaker, an expert in Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism and the creator of The Method. What is The Method? Shimona will walk us through this program for self mastery and transformation, which teaches us how to thrive in life. And we all want that? Right? I hope. Let me tell you, this is not just inspiration and woo woo kind of stuff. What she’s teaching becomes so practical… it is indeed transformational. You’ll love to hear the four areas of our lives we should focus on to achieve true change. We discuss the concept of bittul, nullification, how it’s a major difference between new age spirituality and Jewish spirituality, what is it exactly, and how do we achieve it. And finally, you will be surprised to hear the things she does to help keep her grounded, connected to herself and G-d in this hectic world… these are practical, timely and super relevant to all of us, no matter our level of religious observance. And be sure to go Shimona’s website and grab a special offer she has for Jewish Latin Princess’ listeners and readers on her program Bottoming Out, 8 Principles for Breaking Through. Use the code JLP at checkout to get that audio and print file for free! Enjoy the Show! Episode 2: Leah Gottfried, Actress and Film Director | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:07

B”H Not long ago, I posted on Jewish Latin Princess Blog about the web series Soon By You. I decided to dig a little deeper as to who was making such quality work. To my wonderful surprise I found that it was none-other-than a young Jewish woman, and off I went to find her for all of you! As I suspected, Leah Gottfried, Actress and Film Director, has much to share with us. In this fun conversation, Leah and I discuss what it was like to have a non-traditional path for an observant Jewish girl, which of the characters in Soon By You she relates to the most and of course she shares her advice for all the young women out there who are dreaming big, like Leah! I’ve become a big fan, what can I tell you… Enjoy the Show!       You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 52: Frumma Rosenberg-Gottlieb, Co-Author of Awesome Aging and Jewish Mindfulness ExpertEpisode 53: Mara Strom, Creator of Kosher on a BudgetEpisode 1: Bari Tessler, Author of The Art of MoneyEpisode 9: Rena Reiser, Intuitive Eating CoachEpisodio 6: Dr. Debbie Berebichez, PhD en física y anfitriona de Televisión B”H Not long ago, I posted on Jewish Latin Princess Blog about the web series Soon By You.  Episode 1: Bari Tessler, Author of The Art of Money | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:05:50

B”H The past month has been a whirlwind of amazing things, many of which had me put this audio interview on hold, even though every single day I craved getting to work on it. Bari Tessler is both beautiful inside and outside, and interviewing her has been one of the most enlightening and profound experiences of my work as a blogger in the Jewish lifestyle space. Bari is a remarkable Jewish woman, whose work The Art of Money (both a book and a year long course) is outstanding. In this interview Bari and I connect and discuss her work in the area of financial therapy, but in addition, as we explore her journey and her life’s work, we go back to her Jewish roots and see how her Jewish soul has found expression through her work. I could not be prouder of  Bari Tessler and I am so happy and blessed to have had the merit to do this touching and profound interview with such a special woman. Here are some of the things Bari and I explore in the interview: * 4:35 Bari’s journey which led her to financial therapy, including a detour to Israel (5:43) – a journey to find herself as Jewish woman, which also led her to begin her work in somatic therapy * 8:13 Bari’s wake-up call to Money! * 8:52 The point in which Bari realizes there’s an obvious missing piece in her exhaustive training as a therapist and what she decided to do about it (8:55) * 10:00 What Bari calls “bridging heaven and earth” through her work and unique methodology * 12:08 The back story to the wonderful and totally appropriate tag line of her book The Art of Money, A life-changing guide to financial happiness * 13:33 Bari and I start getting mystical and pointing out how through her work, unbeknownst to her, she’s teaching us to work on the chetzonius (external) as well as the pnimius (internal) areas of our relationship to money. * 16:00 We discuss what is money healing * 19:12 Bari teaches us about what she has coined the “body check-in” * 22:25 Bari talks to us about money practices or the routines and practical elements we need to build around taking care of our money * 25:10 Bari tells us why we must learn a bookkeeping system * 27:25 We bring Jewish mysticism back into Bari’s work by identifying that her methodology is a perfect example of the Jewish concepts of chesed (kindness) and gevura (severity) and the fusion of both. * 29:57 We talk values and how identifying those plays a key component to our work around money * 31:10 Bari teaches us about re-naming our spending and our saving according to our values and we are able to co-relate this practice, which she so adamantly teaches her students, to Judasim’s take on words and the power of speech, as well as her early Jewish education. * 38:47 We discuss how as women we have an intuitive way of knowing how to practice the “body check-in”, yet we have to tune into it and put into practice. * 40:03 Bari and I get into parenting and money and not surprisingly, we agree the work starts with us, the parents/couple, first! * 52:02 Bari tells us of two incredible Hasgacha Pratit (Divine Providence) moments which have been pivotal in her path and where she is today… one of them, happened twenty years ago in Israel! * 54:51 Beautiful JLP fill in the blanks in which Bari takes us to her favorite mitzvah, her fondest Jewish memory, the way she likes to practice tzedakah and more… Thank you for tuning in to this most wonderful interview and thank you Bari for the honor and pleasure. Please leave me comments and questions on the comments below and I will be sure to answer. You can find Bari
