Debbie and I talk about her journey from being a high powered financial executive managing quite a significant portfolio of investments for the Bank of Israel, to a point in her life where she realized that her own finances were quite messy. How she woke up to that reality and took actions to slowly change that for herself, and even decided to start helping others to manage their own money. We discuss why women are lagging behind when it comes to money, and what we need to do to start changing that. Debbie’s work is magnificent in that she truly cares, and because she truly cares, she acknowledges that her clients most often need to do a lot of emotional work around their money — it’s not all dollars and cents when it comes to money – and Debbie and I talk about what that process is like for people.
