 Episode 156: On Pricing & Revenue Goals | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:53

B”H How is everyone holding up? It hasn’t been an easy time. I know our hearts are broken and I know we are scared. But, we can’t cave into the fear, my friends. We just can’t. I just saw that Miriam Lottner, who wrote a wonderful Oped on USA Today is receiving death threats. Death threats, my friends! I mean if you’ve been on social media at all the past 12 days you know what I’m talking about.  Al Tira, says the Torah – do not fear! But, I know it’s hard. So, what do we do? We have to strengthen our connection to the only Source of comfort and peace, G-d Almighty. Pray, do a mitzvah, take an otherwise mundane interaction and make it holier, strengthen the peace in the home. The stronger we are spiritually, the stronger we will be physically. And please, please above all else, do not focus on differences with your fellow Jews. This is a time where it’s more critical than ever to stay together and unified. One of the most heartbreaking things of the war breaking out in Israel was to see Jews expressing negativity towards other Jews! What!? I will say these two points and then I will go on with today’s show: If anyone thinks that the antisemites discriminate between religious Jews, non-religious Jews, observant, non-observant, liberal, conservative, republican, democrat, you are wrong. It’s time to take your Judaism and wear it loud and proud because if there’s anything good the anti-semites can teach us is that a Jew is a Jew is a Jew. We are one. We are one soul. And you can’t sever your relationship with your people, Your G-d and the Torah. No matter how you try. So, embrace it! I do know this message does not apply to my audience and I don’t mean to preach at you specifically, but rather say what’s on my heart and hopefully share some positivity and give some strength. G-d knows we need it and we need love and unity above all else. Guess what? Love unites. Hate obviously divides. So lets stay focused on the love. Dismiss the differences. Focus on the love. Period. And finally, second point, to anyone who possibly could be confused and think there’s a difference, anti-Zionism, is antisemitism. Period. Again regardless of where you are in the political or religious spectrum, please bear in mind that there’s no such think as anti-Zionism – there’s only a desire to exterminate the Jews from the face of the earth. And you and I have the power to prevent that. We do have more power than we think. And that power is in our ability to spread love, to unite and not divide. Let’s use it wisely. Ok Speaking of Zionism, a big shout out to my listeners in the Holy Land. You are our heroes, you are the mothers of kids in the army, you are the mothers of kids in bomb shelters, you are the pioneers making aliyah and you are in the safest place on earth, the Lubavitcher Rebbe said it many times, and I will shout it through the roof tops. The rest of us live in an illusion of safety. It’s all a farce. G-d protects the Jewish people and G-d protects Israel and so my friends, short of being in Israel with our people in our land, let’s make sure we’re connecting to G-d and strengthening our bond to again those three things that are inseparable, Jews, G-d’s Torah and G-d. One of the lessons of the Holiday of Shavuot, which at this point seems like ages ago was, you know it: Jewish pride. We should be modest as a small mountain, Mt. Sinai, but a mountain nonetheless. Not arrogant ever but with a very healthy sense of Jewish pride. Ok today I have a great episode. I actually was meant to have Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Omer Omer Yankelevich on the show for weeks, but G-d has had other plans, both our schedules forced us to push off our Speaking of which, we’ve been planning for months and then tragedy in Meiron struck,

Episode 153: Meira Spivak, Author of How to Make Pesach in 5 Days | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:03

B”H   It’s the final count down to Pesach and my guest today says, you can relax cuz you really can do this in 5 days? I’m Yael Trusch and you’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, welcome to the show. Meira Spivak is here. She’s the author of the new book How to Make Pesach in 5 Days. I have to admit I approached this conversation with tremendous skepticism. I mean, I’m not in a frenzy or stressed but I have been dealing with Pesach already for a couple of weeks. I ordered matzah, wine, meat, chicken, clothing for the children, costco order, amazon, it’s all here in the house. So, I mean when I hear 5 days I’m like “What!? How does one do that?” But, I was very happily surprised. Number one, because it sounds like I do Pesach the Spivak way, and more than that, number two, because I think she’s right. She has an approach that we all need to hear. Hearing her speak reminded me of that well known saying by the Lubavitcher Rebbe that dust is not chametz and the children are not the korban Pesach – which I actually mentioned during the interview although I don’t think I got it quite right when I was talking to Meira.  Before we dive in, let’s go to the itunes section, I forgot to do that last week. And I also want to apologize for the sound last week – I did not realize that my mic was not plugged properly and I didn’t even catch it until the episode had aired. So my apologies that the sound on my end was not the best. It happens. Not ideal, definitely, but it happens. I felt so sad because it was such a good interview – I hope you were still able to enjoy it, with Chani Erenthreu. I will say that you are the best audience. I put out a questionnaire last Wednesday night I believe and received an overwhelming amount of responses. I’m literally blown away by your generosity. It sounds like you really want me to move forward with this new podcast project and you gave me such great feedback. Coffee is on the way for many of you, so check your inbox. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, head over to jewishlatinprincess.com/vote to get the inside scoop and help me chose a name for a new podcast. Yes, there’s a new podcast in the works and you will hear all about it at jewishlatinprincess.com/vote. I will leave the form open until this Friday to give you a chance to enter your responses. I’ll be happy to send you a Starbucks gift card for filling it out so head over to jewishlatinprincess.com/vote. Now, here’s what a reviewer had to say her name is “great for self promotion” and she says, “Must-Listen. If you like all things Jewish, money and business, you’ll love Yael and her fantastic guests Definitely worht a listen.” Well, thank you, “great for self promotion.” Send me an email or a DM on IG and let me know it was you who left the review and I will send you right away a link to connect for a 20 minute chat on the phone.  A little bit more about Meira… she’s the director of Oregon NCSY as well as a facilitator of the SIT method of creativity and innovation teaching individuals and corporations to solve strategic problems. Here’s Meira Spivak. Thanks to Meira Spivak, for stopping by. You can get the book on Amazon or on oregon.ncsy.org/pesachbook and all the proceeds go straight t...

Episode 152: Chani Ehrentreu, Host of Boss Maidel & Co-Founder of Shmuzy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:02

B”H It’s rare to have an influencer and content creator talk about how hard it is to juggle it all, to change our mindset around money, business, and more. Today we are privileged to get this, because I have the beautiful Chani Erenthreu. You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess I’m Yael Trusch your Host. As I said, today is a rare interview because I get to talk to someone who is fairly young, but really has become so honest about what is important, what needs to change, she’s just honest, in a way that is more often seen in women later in life. Chanie is one of the most transparent, honest influencers out there. I’ve been her friend already for years. She’s been a constant source of support of this show and any endeavor that I’ve put out. And today, I get to share a little bit of who she is, and also ask her about her latest endeavor, the Shmuzy App. You may be familiar with Shmuzy,  a sponsor of this show; and I’ve told you that I’m loving the app. Chani and I talk take a deep dive into the behind the scenes, not just of Shmuzy but of life – Chani’s life; her evolution as a creative business woman – a combination that is often hard to balance in a healthy, productive way. Chani has a lot to say about that.

Van a querer tomar notas, amigas. You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 153: Meira Spivak, Author of How to Make Pesach in 5 DaysFive New Habits that Help Me Make Every Day CountEpisode 30: Stacy Middleman, Author of Dear Cancer, Love StacyHydroChic Giveway Winner & Little ThingsPassover Table Decor B”H

Episode 146: Jamie Geller, Chief Media & Marketing Officer Aish Globa & CEO of Kosher Network International | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:37

B”H The Queen of Kosher is back ladies, and I couldn’t be happier to start off 2021 with her. You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Welcome back to the show. Indeed, Jamie Geller is here. You may remember Jamie from Episode 47 of this show.  She is the Founder and CEO of Kosher Network International, the #1 Global Kosher Food Media Company and World’s Most Watched Jewish Food Network with an audience of 5 million and 1 billion views. One could say that Jamie stopped being the Queen of Kosher long ago and became the Queen of Jewish Media. And perhaps this is why today she and I get to discuss her latest and very exciting business venture.  Just a few weeks ago, Jamie and Aish HaTorah International announced that Jamie is now their Chief Media and Marketing Officer. In this capacity she will spearhead Aish’s new “Global Jewish Media Group” initiative, responsible for the creation of engaging media content that intends to connect Jews to the wisdom of their heritage.  From entrepreneur, running her own show, to operating under another organization… this might not be the typical path for an entrepreneur. But when you listen to how this new position with Aish came about, and what Jamie has been tasked with, perhaps we start seeing the synergies between this new role and the empire that Jamie has already built. Of course, I had to find out how did this happen!? Jamie Geller tells us the hand of G-d in all of this. And if you’re a budding entrepreneur, wondering how to juggle family life as well, Jamie and I discuss this, and as always Jamie is honest and delightful. Jamie is a mother of six and a seven-time bestselling author, a regular on the Today Show and morning show circuit and has been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, Family Circle, Cosmopolitan, and Yahoo, among countless other media outlets. Here you go ladies, without further ado, here’s the lovely Jamie Geller.  Episode 145: Best of 2020 – Money | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 30:37

B”H Welcome to Jewish Latin Princess everybody, I’m your Host Yael Trusch. As promised, today I’m continuing the theme of Best of 2020 with my favorite conversations about Money. We started this conversation with Monday’s episode, where I highlighted some of my favorite conversations on the show – conversations which were specifically memorable to me. And today, I want to highlight some of the insights about Money that came specifically from my guests. As you know, this year I did share here some of my own appearances on other platforms, whether it be speeches I gave, or podcast interviews I did, in which the topic was money. But today I want to highlight some of my favorite guests’ insights on the topic. First off, we have friend and teacher, Cathy Heller, Host of Don’t Keep Your Day Job Podcast, who went from songwriter to savvy business woman and multi millionaire in a matter of 4 years. It seems to me that unlike many women, money mindset is something Cathy doesn’t struggle too much with.  Let’s hear from Cathy… You can hear more about Cathy Heller’s journey into six figure songwriting and then into business coaching and uber successful podcast host on Episode 124 which aired in May. Natalie Gold was also with us this year, and she is a wealth attorney and author who’s been on major news outlets discussing wealth building, and how to secure a future for your family. I had Natalie on the radar for the show for over a year and I finally connected with her and I’m so glad we did. Natalie has become a good friend, and she talks about the concept of a “marriage constitution” to lay down the law as she says, about what each partners expectations are when it comes to their finances – now this is not a pre-nup – don’t get it confused – this is something else, and this, as much of her work, is based on her belief that in this day and age, it is imperative for women to know about their money and their family’s money, and yes that may include legal aspects, but basically there’s no excuse for us to not get a handle around those things when we’re building a family and a future together. You can listen to the rest of this fabulous interview with Natalie Elisha Gold on Episode 136 which aired in October. Now, Barbara Huson is no newbie to the show, and this time she shares how she worked over the years on re-wiring her brain for wealth. Barbara endured a major wake up call when she realized that she had blindly handed over her inheritance to her husband who was a compulsive stock picker and who managed to lose all her money. Eventually, this led not just to the loss of her money, but the loss of her marriage. She was left with very modest earnings as a journalist, with three young children when she was hit with tax bills of over one $1mm for transactions that she had no idea had happened, although she admits she must have signed on the dotted line many times thinking her husband was carefully managing their money. Well, the only problem was that her husband had left the country, and the IRS wanted their money. Her multi millionaire father would not lend her the money, and she had to figure things out on her own. And well, she ended up becoming the foremost authority on the topic of women and money in this country. I would say along with Karen McCall. This entire story is on Episode 4 of this podcast. But this year, Barbara came back to share how we can rewire our brain for wealth. This is something that Barbara had been doing for years,

Episode 143: Yael Bendahan, Digital Visibility & Marketing Strategist | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:17:09

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Happy Chanukah, ladies! How has your Chanukah been so far? I hope well despite everything that’s going on. The whole Covid rollercoater. Boy have we learned to surrender this year, and to trust, and to be flexible. Those are my top three words of the year, surrender, trust, and flexibility. But, let’s get to it, let’s head over to the iTune’s review section where I pick a review every week and share it with you and anyone who posts a review gets a chance to win a 20 min call with me where we talk about anything related to your money, or your life or Jewish observance in general. It’s one of my favorite things to do, to connect with my audience in this way so head over to the iTunes section and leave a review of the show to get a chance for us to hang out together. Happy to offer perspective, advice, a listening ear and empathy, or all of it, whatever is needed at the moment. This review comes from BiskerChaya who says: “Yael is an inspiring woman, she offers us teachings and practical advice with deep conviction and wisdom about money. She speaks in such an exceptional way that when you listen, you immediately want to get into that path of growth and financial freedom! I highly recommend it!” Thank you BiskerChaya drop me an email yaelatjewishlatinprincess.com and I’ll send you a link for us to connect.  This review is actually from November, but it’s so timely because I’ve been running my financial freedom program in Spanish now two times consecutively and was planning on running it again in the Spring, and wasn’t so sure if I wanted to do it in English. But, I’ve been getting a lot of requests to do it in English, which I did twice during the earlier part of 2020. So… I heard you and I will open the doors to the program, end of January. But, what I’m doing now is I’m opening up the wait list with the intention of giving everyone in the waitlist early access to some amazing bonuses, before your program officially opens doors. All you have to do is go to JewishLatinPrincess.com/waitlist and we will send you the info! Now, let’s talk about my guest today. Same name, similar strong energies. She’s a powerhouse and well, she is the brain behind the popular Facebook group Powershouse Women Entrepreneurs. Yael Bendahan is here! She’s a Digital Visibility and Marketing Strategist, which is something we all probably need right now. I mean, even if you’re still in a more traditional role, I bet many of you are thinking of developing a side hussle with the aspiration to grow it. In fact, that’s kind of how I began. Whatever the case may be, the days of shying away from having a personal brand are over. So I think this episode is going to be very insightful for many of you.  Yael and I met years ago in the online world and we’ve kept in touch. She’s built a business that serves her and her family, from the comfort of her home, helping women scale their businesses with the right visibility and marketing strategy that works for them. She works with female coaches and service providers of all kinds. She is full of grit and perseverance as you will soon see. We talk about the pain points and struggles that led her to start her own business, focus on the digital marketing space, and continue to narrow that further? The role her family plays in any business decisions she makes? What has she learned as an entrepreneur? And how does she structure her own time for visibility and marketing? Her Judaism and more. Here’s the fabulous Yael Bendahan.    You may also like | Puede que también te guste

Episode 142: Barbara Huson, Best Selling Author, Financial Therapist & Wealth Coach | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:24

B”H Did you know that you probably think about money differently than your husband, your brother, male co-workers or boss? What impact is that having in your financial behaviors, and how might you go about re-wiring your brain if needed? I’m Yael Trusch, your Host, welcome to Jewish Latin Princess. Today I’m talking to Best Selling Author, Financial Therapist & Wealth Coach, Barbara Huson, formerly Stanny. You might remember her from Episode #4 of this show. One of my most popular episodes actually, and for good reason. She is fabulous! And now she’s back! She has a new book about to hit stores January 2020 which you can pre-order now. It’s called Rewire for Wealth: Three Steps Any Woman can Take to Program her Brain for Financial Success. The book has received accolades from industry experts such as David Bach and others.  But before I bring her on, a few announcements.  1- I’d like to remind you again that if you pick up the Holiday issue of Real Simple Magazine, you should take a snapshot of what I wrote in there on Holiday gifting and post it onto your IG stories tagging me and Real Simple. You will be automatically entered in a raffle for a chance to win a one year subscription of Real Simple Magazine.  2- Also, I’m doing an 8 day Chanukah Challenge inside my free private facebook group Jewish Money Matters. I’m calling it “Money Miracles” and it’s going to be a fun way to highlight and focus on financial miracles in particular. So, if you’re not a member of the group yet, head over to Facebook and request access to Jewish Money Matters where I will be posting the details and the rules of the game :-). I can’t wait to hear from all of you and for us to share our financial miracles during this holiday of light and holiday of miracles. Someone posted recently, “We all want miracles. The problem is that we don’t believe in them.” How sad and true. But, I know that my audience does believe in miracles. And the truth of the matter is that there’s something very powerful about going back and introspecting, finding those financial miracles from big to small (and I know we’ve ALL had them), and then articulating these and sharing with others. It helps cement the faith and live with more trust. And as the lamp lighters that we are,  by sharing our personal Money Miracles, we’re not only strengthening ourselves, but we in turn, inspire those of us in the group reading and help others see their own miracles, strengthen their faith and their trust. And ultimately that trust translates into more miracles, more tranquility and more wealth. So, who’s on? Of course there will be prizes! Head over to Jewish Money Matters on Facebook and request access, if you’re not a part of the group already. And let’s do this! Ok so, let’s talk about my guest. You should definitely go back to Episode 4 and listen to Barbara’s riches to rag’s story and how she finally started taking her money seriously. Because I know that you will be able to learn so much from her story of growth and perseverance as well as the spiritual insights that have helped her all along the way and which she generously shares with others. Today, our conversation takes a different angle and we talk all about her latest book and how Barbara has been using neurosci...
