Two explosions occurred near the Boston Marathon finish line at 2:50 p.m. The race was diverted before being halted as police and fire crews swept the area. Another device was found, which was purposely detonated by Boston Police at Boylston Street. Another incident at JFK Library, which was thought to be a fourth-related incident, is now being considered as a fire-related issue by the Boston Police Department.  Three people are dead and more than 130 are injured.

Democratic Austin City Council member and potential next mayor Mike Martinez admitted during a speech that the Obama administration’s long term gun control agenda is focused on banning firearms altogether. Pointing out a sign held by a protester which read, “stop gun ban!,” Martinez remarked, “someone needs to inform him that there is no gun ban currently, but because of the work we’re doing here today, we will make your sign legitimate shortly, so you hang on to that.” The crowd cheered as Martinez made his vow.

Tonights Broadcast is dedicated In Loving Memory of : Emil Joseph Kapaun.   A WWII & Korean Veteran as well as U.S. Army chaplain who died in the Korean War as A POW. A Roman Catholic Priest ordained in 1940 & joined the Army in July 1944. He served mainly over sea's in very HARD hit and dammaged areas of World War II. Kapaun was promoted to Captain in January 1946 In September 1948, he re-joined the Army & left his parents for the last time in December 1949.   He was captured near Unsan, North Korea. The POWs marched for 87 miles to a prison camp. Kapaun developed a blood clot in his leg, and pneumonia. He died on May 23, 1951 at the prison camp in Pyoktong. He was buried in a mass grave near the Yalu River. Hannon, 44, of Grove City, Ohio They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 148th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. The three guardsmen were killed in Faryab province of Afghanistan.The Associated Press is being accused of trying to influence the immigration debate following A decision to stop using the term "illegal immigrant" in its coverage. Two potentially transformative cases regarding gay marriage will be argued at the Supreme Court this week. Justices have set aside two days to hear arguments and they will release audio arguments that day. Both cases will be decided by the end of June.   Here's what you need to know about the legal cases: Click here to read more about the challenge to California's Proposition 8. In addition to ruling on the constitutionality of Prop 8, which bans gay marriage, the Supreme Court will also hear a challenge to a federal law, the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) that defines marriage as between one man and a woman. The law denies federal benefits to same-sex couples who are legally married in their states. Unlike the Prop 8 case, the DOMA challenge does not address whether there is a fundamental right under the Constitution to gay marriage.   The case was brought by Edie Windsor, an 83-year-old woman from New York who married Thea Clara Spyer in 2007 after some 40 years together as a couple. When Spyer died in 2009, Windsor was denied -- under DOMA -- an exemption on federal estate taxes that she had paid on her spouse's estate.

It’s someone else’s problem.   The inspection teams of the International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) that monitor compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, to which Iran belongs, have entered Iran numerous times and, while remaining suspicious, have not been able to find that country on the direct road to the Bomb.   While many western and some Arab countries in the Gulf region have condemned Iran's alleged nuclear arms quest, Israel maintains some 200 ready nuclear weapons and has refused to sign the non-proliferation treaty, thereby avoiding the IAEA inspectors.   The Iranian regime, with a national GDP smaller than Massachusetts, is terrified. It is surrounded by powerful adversaries, including the U.S. military on three of its borders. President George W. Bush labeled Iran, along with Iraq and North Korea, one of the three "axis of evil," and Teheran knows what happened to Iraq after that White House assertion. They also know that North Korea inoculated itself from invasion by testing nuclear bombs. And all Iranians remember that the U.S. overthrew their popular elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953 and installed the dictatorial Shah who ruled tyrannically for the next 27 years.

When a government is accused of activities that stretch or violate the law, it has three choices: 1) change the activities to conform with the law; 2) change the law to conform with the activities; or 3) lie (about the nature of the activities, the meaning of the law, or both).   Option 3 isn't a comfortable one for the Obama administration, which is prone to outright lying. Some senior officials tolerate a moderate amount of fudging and obfuscation, but when the fudge factor gets too high, it induces visible queasiness. Over the last couple of weeks, we've seen more than a little such discomfort on the faces of those stuck with justifying U.S. drone policy to Congress and the public.   That's not surprising: As the targets of U.S. drone strikes have expanded from senior Taliban and al Qaeda operatives to a far broader range of individuals with only the most tenuous links to al Qaeda, the administration's legal arguments for targeted killings have grown ever more tortured and complex. In particular, it's gotten progressively more difficult for officials to avoid blushing while claiming that U.S. drone policy is fully consistent with Congress's 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force.   Washington Post reported last weekend, some administration officials are apparently considering asking Congress for a new, improved "AUMF 2.0," one that would place U.S. drone policy on firmer legal footing.

New Yorkers who enjoy super-sized sodas can keep drinking them, for now.   On Monday, a state judge invalidated New York City's large-soda ban, which was set to take effect tomorrow. Judge Milton Tingling, of the New York Supreme Court, called the measure "arbitrary and capricious," according to The New York Times. The measure would have prevented the sale of sodas and other sweetened beverages larger than 16 ounces. Mayor Michael Bloomberg saw the measure as an opportunity to make the city healthier, citing sugary drinks and large portion sizes as culprits in the obesity epidemic.   The Bloomberg administration said it plans to appeal the sugary drinks decision as soon as possible.
