Benjamin Franklin once observed that those who would trade their liberties for security will wind up losing both. James Madison stated that no nation can preserve freedom in the midst of perpetual warfare. Few can question that America's Founding Fathers epitomize true conservatism. There is something seriously wrong in America today precisely because the elites from both political parties have forgotten about Franklin and Madison and ignored their wise counsel.   No one should doubt that ill-conceived security measures and the greatly exaggerated fear of terrorism have driven much of both foreign and domestic policy since 9/11.  9/11 was undeniably a horrific experience for this nation, but it did not threaten the survival of the American Republic. Its remaining perpetrators and their handful of heirs do not do so today. Only we Americans can do that and we are doing so by over-reacting to the danger and compromising our own liberties. Conservatives should be the voice of reason. They should demand commensurate and realistic responses to genuine foreign and domestic threats rather than overkill, more bureaucracy, and lots of unneeded government pork. The government's creation of a no-fly list with one million names and a terrorist suspects list with nearly half a million entries exemplify that damage that has already been done. If there were even one percent that many people in the US actually threatening terrorist acts there would be waves of bombings in the streets. The Obama identity fraud issue continues to metastasize.  Lt Zullo of Sherrif Arpaio's Cold Case Posse has submitted a 40 page report mto the Alabama Supreme Court detailing the evidentiary reasons as to why Obama.sd "birth certificate" is a crude computer generated forgery.  The author of the report, Reed Haynes is a court certified forensic document examiner who lists as one of his more prominent clients the law firm of Perkins Coie,  which is Obama's very oiwn lkaw firm that dispatched the attorney tpo Hawaii to retrieve this counterfeit document for Obama!!!

Its establishment in 2007 and six years of exponential growth took place beneath the surface of a roiling debate over the boundaries of surveillance and privacy. Tonights program is dedicated to those who gave their life 68 years ago tonight in one of Americas most historic battles in its storied history : The Battle of Okinawa.took place in April & ended @ 12 / midnight on June 4, 1945. The American forces invation moved under the codenamed Operation Iceberg. The 82-day-long battle lasted from early April until mid-June 1945. After a long campaign of island hopping, the Allies were approaching Japan, and planned to use Okinawa, a large island only 340 mi (550 km) away from mainland Japan, as a base for air operations on the planned invasion of Japanese mainland (coded Operation Downfall). Four divisions of the U.S. 10th Army (the 7th, 27th, 77th, and 96th) and two Marine Divisions (the 1st and 6th) fought & took  the island. May they all rest in peace.  When President Obama pushed his health care overhaul plan through Congress, he counted labor unions among his strongest supporters. But some unions leaders have grown frustrated and angry about what they say are unexpected consequences of the new law -- problems that they say could jeopardize the health benefits offered to millions of their members. The issue could create a political headache next year for Democrats facing re-election if disgruntled union members believe the Obama administration and Congress aren't working to fix the problem. "It makes an untruth out of what the president said, that if you like your insurance, you could keep it," said Joe Hansen, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. "That is not going to be true for millions of workers now."

The bomb, code-named Little Boy, was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. He was 92. Paul Tibbets was selected for bombing Japan When the operation was in development stage there were two main candidates for this mission; Brigadier General Frank Armstrong and Colonel Roscoe Wilson. Both very qualified men. However, Paul Tibbets had an advantage over them. He had experience in strategic bombing obtained while bombing German cities. He had served as the personal pilot of Dwight D. Eisenhower.
