Episode 162: Martinis and games with BigAndiD! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:38

Well, let me put it bluntly: we broke our vow of no martinis on the podcast. However, there is no better person to break that vow with, than the person you were with when you pulled the nutty antics which made you create the vow in the first place.  And so, we welcome our guest from 24 7 Arcade and The Kid Dogg show, BigAndiD. BigAndiD gives us the skinny on the multi-player gameplay of Ubisoft's 'Ghost Recon Future Soldier', along with some ideas on how to get back in touch with one's board gaming roots. Meanwhile, Cassandra has been trapped in a sweatshop her dining room, sewing Princess Peach and Princess Daisy costumes for the up and coming ConVergence Con. Ah, the things a best friend goes through... We will be taking a break next week, but don't fret, we'll be back soon with lots of tales from the crazy culture of comics, cosplay, and games fandom.

Episode 161 – MOAR BUTTONS, PLEASE! with the AI Bots | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:18:08

This week we are joined by Dan and Chazzee from The AI Bots. It's a weirdly wonderful meandering trail through two hours of margaritas, cooking lessons, weird British news, elephant legs of meat, over looked games, and robots, and the show is split in two by a jubilee skit produced by the AI Bots themselves, starring the Queen herself! (How's that for a run-on sentence?) Enjoy!

Episode 160: A discussion with Ben Kuchera of Penny Arcade | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:03:44

When our good friend Scott White sent us a link to an article written by  Penny Arcade's  Ben Kuchera, 'Banning E3 booth babes isn’t good manners, it’s good business' we were intrigued to say the least. To date, Cassandra and I both sported mixed feelings about booth babes, their purpose at trade shows, and the message their presense delivers.  I also have a mental red flag raised every time I see an article about booth babes at E3. After reading the article, we wanted to learn more.  We had questions.  Who was this guy?  What drove him to write this well thought article and post it in the face of people who were sure to accuse him of being "some guy writing a booth babe article" just after E3? He even did it without hypocritically plastering his story with photos of booth babes. Who does that? I emailed Ben. At first, it just to ask him some questions about his article, but as I was writing, I realised there's no better person with whom to discuss this article. He kindly agreed to join us for a chat. Click up there and read Ben's article, watch the BBC video that he linked, listen to our conversation. If you get a spare moment, let us know what you think. Would a lack of booth babes ruin your E3 experience?  Would it make it better?

 Test…test…Is this thing on?… | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27

Hey, kids! This is just  a short message to see if I got the website and podcast feed working again. Tara will be posting this week's show soon!

Episode 159: Violent video games may cause gamers to become creative. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:38

After a week of E3, we can't let it go by without a mention of the games we are most looking forward to. In this episode, Tara talks about SWToR and Diablo 3 - the quest for Whimseyshire. Cassandra attempts to build a castle in Minecraft.   Once again, Scrub Club Records makes it to our break with SUPERPOWERLESS and the song, 'The IT Crowd'. Our news segment: "The violent computer game World of Warcraft" - because nobody should ever have to take responsibility for their own actions. And of course, The Best of Craigs list for your entertainment.   Stay tuned next week's episode with special guests. A discussion on E3 and Booth Babes. We hope it will knock your socks off, which, would have practically been totally pornographic in the 90s... the 1890s.

 Episode 158: Nerd to the C-O-R-E | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:20:09

Remember way back when when we made a pledge to not drink martinis on the show? Well, we didn't pledge not to drink gin. This week we talk about alien sex, furries, Diablo 3, Minecraft, and crafting songs in our touchbase. Then it's onto NERD CORE. We bring you some of our favorite artists from scrubclubrecords.

 Episode 157: Jack This | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:13:11

"My account got hacked!" How many times have we heard that? This week, we discuss account jacking, which is different from hacking. Moments after listening to the second half of episode 157, you will begin to wonder about what you can do to protect your cherished XBOX gamertags and accounts only to discover that no virus protection in the world can stop a community of people with loose morals and a knack for social engineering. These days, people are gaining access to your XBOX accounts straight from the source - by dialing a phone and calling Microsoft XBOX customer service. Back in my youthful days of working in a call center, we used to get phone calls from toner scammers. The scam was this: The people calling businesses were banking on the poor lost soul who answered the phone, to give out the model number of the copier. Once they received the model number, they'd ship that business some leaky toner via C.O.D. and stick some poor accountant with a giant invoice. I'd get these calls 5 times per day. When I'd get these calls, I'd want to just hang up on them. Even though I knew without a doubt I had a scammer on the line, I had to maintain professionalism and decorum since my calls were being recorded. After a few frustrating calls with these scumbags, I began to ask the person for their phone number so that I could call them back. Usually, they'd hang up on me immediately. Problem solved. They eventually stopped calling. I think by adding a couple extra verification steps, Microsoft could do more to protect our accounts. How about asking the caller to recite the phone number tied to their account? Better yet, asking to phone the caller back and matching it up with caller ID. Microsoft Support has always been courteous and helpful to me, and nobody likes to have to spend longer on the phone with a customer than they have to, but taking an extra few minutes would likely save the time it will take them later on, to give the real account holder their money back, and save the frustration of the REAL account holder yelling at them later.

Episode 156: You Take the Highroad and I’ll Take Diablo 3 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:48

Due to technical difficulties and illness, there wasn't a live podcast at DorkapaTWOza, but Tara and I are back together to babble about all that happened in Scotland and Diablo 3 and all sortsa stuff. Enjoy!

Episode 155: Watches, lighters and urinal games, Oh my! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 39:43

Whilst Cassandra is in Glasgow working on her alcohol tolerance, I'm in for quite a treat because we're joined by James in "Nerd Lair T". James is an OG - original geekster. It's a great chance for us to catch up on what he has been geeking out about. This week, we ponder on whether or not we would purchase The Pebble, what great uses we'd have for a fuel cell USB charger, and wonder if a new urinal funtime game by SEGA will be popular, or just flushing money down the drain. Did you see that? I just made a funny!

Episode 154: Asteroids, Aliens, and the Loch Ness Monster | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:10:43

Did you know I'm going to Scotland? :P Well, I'm leaving tomorrow!! But, I wouldn't leave before sending out this aural gem for your earholes. We do the usual babbling at the start and then take it easy this week by reading some weird news including mining asteroids, Mario fetishes, and spotting the Loch Ness Monster; as well as, answering listener mail including the question "Do aliens exist?" Enjoy! Tara and I will be back together in 3 weeks!

Episode 153: Do Not Use on Knob & Bollocks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:42

It's cocktail of the week time and we are going South For The Summer. Cassandra has been watching bad episodes of The Haunted. Meanwhile Tara has been catching up on Dr. Who and is thinking of starting a Star Wars the Old Republic Guild on Jekk'Jekk Tarr. This week, we have The Best of Craigs List and Amazon reviews of Veet for Men. Plus, why are so many men in Britain reported as being treated for Pregnancy? All this and more, in this week's TMPGotI!

 Episode 152: Princess Peach’s Magic Mustache Ride | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:30:50

Hey, Kats and Kittens! How the heck are you? This week, Tara and I are extremely dandy! In fact, this show's a SMASHER! (We don't know what it means, either, but just go with it). We decided to invent our own drinks this week, since the Cowgirl Shooter we chose from the book is a little boring. Tara won for best drink, but I think I won for best Hentai scream - listen through to the end of the show and cast your vote! Oh, yeah, we talk about stuff like Star Wars, giving our parents technology, Journey (not the band!), Slacker, and such. Enjoy!

 Episode 151: Highly Flammable | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:01

We're also less than a week away until Julian Hill begins his 24 hour Singstar Challenge at the Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel, in London. So check out his progress here! This begins at 10:00 am on April 13th. Show your support! We're talking Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne and Supernatural. Also, we're back in the hot seat with your packing list for conventions, scary fast food and the best Craigs List ad, ever.
