Hello, fair internet travelers! Join Tara and Sassy as we wonder and wind our way through the Wayback Machine to reminisce about our gaming past - thanks to the topic suggestions by or listeners. We also talk about the worst tech we ever bought and our ultimate gaming console. Of course, we start out by talking about what we did this week - including welcoming IDKFA and Epic Fail into the Unified Gamers Network! woo! In between, there is a song created by Tara on the fly. If there is anything that makes me sigh, it's the "special release" extended versions of films. There is a little voice inside of my head (louder than the rest of the voices) - we'll call her, "AngryTaraHulk" and AngryTaraHulk rants, "I paid ten bucks to see this in the theatre and those Hollywood twatwaffles withheld a chunk of the film so they could resell it to me, but only after I bought the normal version on DVD?! AngryTaraHulk smash!" Of course, I buy it anyway. This week, we discuss Lord of the Rings (coming out on Blu-ray extended version) and the upcoming Game of Thrones (HBO) series on April 17th. The aforementioned has both us so excited, we almost didn't even notice that OMG and LoL have been added to the O.E.D. And last but way more importantly, we peek into the listener mail bag. Oh Fenris, my emo elven warrior companion, what does it take to win your heart? I have this sinking feeling that no matter how much time I spend walking around in Kirkwall trying to suck up to you, my efforts will only lead me to a blackout scene followed by some pouty dialogue. Which, all things considered, isn't very different from trying to score in real life. Nonetheless, I stare into those those twin cesspools of-- uh, err, wait, is that my eyeliner you're wearing? Well, this sure is awkward. *ahem* Hello fair internet traveler. Welcome to episode 101! This past week, life presented each of us with our very own pathogen opportunity for a lot of XBOX time, which is the sort of thing one needs after a 24 hour gaming marathon. With NyQuil in tow, Cassandra and I put some attention to our copies of Dragon Age 2. Although I have completed the game, this discussion focuses on game mechanics and how well we like and dislike the game. Our show break features an "Oh My Gawd Dude" nerd rage remix, with a smile. This week we are honored to speak with Neil "Kid Dogg" Taylor from GameBurst. Neil gets us to wax nostalgic on our favorite old television shows. Later on, we take a head shot at a cheap shot, otherwise known as the new Dead Island game trailer. Our topic this week is 'Gaming Burnout' and what we do when your favorite video games lose that "New Game Smell". Personally, I find just about everything becomes more exciting with beer, but I have recently been made to understand that's not the case for everyone. February is a hard month here in the Northern Hemisphere, and this week we're all about dreaming up the ultimate geek sick day. So, pull up your covers, drink some Nyquil, and let the soothing sounds of the most popular girls on the internet guide you through. Just for fun, I threw in the song Mr. Fancy Pants by Jonathan Coulton. It's a silly song. About pants. heehee.

Hail fair internet adventurer! This week, we discuss Risk vs. Reward in video games and wax "developer-sophical" upon the question, "Is having lower risk and higher reward the magical ingredient for making a game successful?" This week's nerd rage is featuring Miselain. You can catch their YouTube channel over here! Confession: This show was recorded in two takes. Wait- wait! I can explain. Friday night, we took a risk of having tequila shots and margaritas on take one. The reward was we had an absolute blast. Unfortunately, we didn't want to subject our listeners an hour of mispronunciations interspersed with laughter and snorts; unlike the other 95 podcasts which are mostly good pronunciations, interspersed with laughter and snorts. We saved the reasons that we had to re-record, for the very end of the podcast.

This week we're actually serious. We both watched the movie Catfish and have some real debate over the content and topic of the film. If you haven't seen the film, go see it now! However, we also get into the topic of internet relationships - how we've done wrong and how we've been been wronged ourselves. We get for real and very personal. On his twitter account, Cliff Blezinski (Cliffy B) of EPIC Games refers to himself as "may be the Tony Stark of Video Games". I'm sure that if he wasn't a made up character in a series of comic books, Tony Stark would say that he is the Cliffy B of flying around in a metal suit after a few too many tipples. I want us to be the self-styled the "someones" of "something" too. On with the show. Put on those headphones, grab a drink and listen to Cassandra speak of her Lady Cave Studio. I reflect on what it means to leave my comfort zone of just buying the games that are the top selling video game titles and actually dig deeper, to play games that I normally wouldn't. After two days of partying, we are pretty mellow, but also a little ranty on this week's show.
