 Episode 188: Dragonberry Drum | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:44:20

Hello there, fellow internet travelers and welcome to episode 188 of The Most Popular Girls on the Internet! Although I'm still on the mend after the ACL replacement and not up walking freely yet, (I was an adventurer like you, until I took an arrow to the knee)  it's great to be podcasting again with my best friend.   I am not able to partake in the spirits this episode, due to pain medication.  Rest assured, Cassandra picked up the slack by taking an extra shot on my behalf, for each shot that I was unable to take. I was initially concerned about not being on the same *happiness level that Cassandra was, but my concerns were for naught.  Cassandra had enough of that happiness in her, for both of us. Our break this week features an oldy but goodie by the Arrogant Worms: It's Great to be a Nerd. On our second half, we discuss the closing of some of our favorite gaming websites and if the use of ad-blockers equates to "stealing" as some pundits claim. We had so much to catch up on this week, at one hour, fourty-four minutes, this is a long show. Throughout our recording and on our breaks, Cassandra kept telling me, "Have fun editing this one, hahaha!" I know she was saying it devilishly, but it still sounded like good advice. After all, the person who edits the podcast, gets to add in or remove anything that they want. It should be a requirement to have fun when one edits or creates a podcast that talks about fun things.  As such, I have decided to name episode 188, after one of the outtakes. I won't just have fun editing this podcast. I promise to always have fun with every podcast that I edit.   *booze consumption

Episode 187: Andi is the Man (Again) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:28:14

One more week without Tara and I miss her sooooooo much! But here to make us all feel better is Big Andi D with talk of games and geeks and a Scottish slang quiz for meeee! Enjoy!

Episode 186: Rumors! with Tony Atkins | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:14:17

This week, Tara's out nursing her leg. She's had her operation and it went well! But, she's still laid up at home, taking good drugs with Jim to take care of her. In her place, this week I'm joined by Tony Atkins of Cane and Rinse. We talk about what we've been up to, and then we get into all the rumors about all the new consoles that (we hope) are coming out this year. Enjoy!

Episode 185: Drunkton Abbey with Johnus Maximus | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:39:35

This week, Tara is off getting a boob job...er I mean she was working, yeah , that's it....so I am joined by the amazing Johnus Maximus (aka John from the MonkeyChunk Show). we babble about what we've been up to this week, including watching Downton Abbey and playing Catherine, and then, in the second half we give each other sexy quizzes. It's a slow descent into drunken madness. Grab your tea and crumpets and hold on tight.

 Episode 184: Podcastiversary | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:45

Hello fair internet traveler! We love it when you come and visit us. This week, we celebrate our four year podcastiversary. Whether you've been with us for all four years, or are just joining in, we want you to know we appreciate you being a part of what we do here at Ice Station C. Creative Day is on the horizon as of this recording, and on Creative Day, we sit in the studio, make up songs and draw, or whatever we feel like, while doing a little bit of *spring cleaning.  On this eve of Creative Day, we are drinking wine and tequila.  Cassandra is having some special guests on the show for the next couple of weeks while I'm out with a Franken-knee.  (That's "Franken" as in "Frankenstein", not "Franken" as in "Al Franken".) On our second half, we discuss the news that JJ Abrams is to take on directing the next Star Wars movie, and we have a little story of how one father attempts to get his son to stop playing World of Warcraft, by hiring assassins to kill him... in game. This week's break is a love song called 'Goona Make' from Tripod.  This particular song is from their 2006 album, 'Middleborough Rd', and I chose it because with Valentines Day coming up, we as gamers sometimes procrastinate much to the chagrin of our better halves.. I have this constant need to fill my earholes with geeky music, and this album fills that niche.  There's an Avante Garde feel to the songs in this album. I can tell they had fun making it, and that is why I wanted to share this particular one with you.  * We drink the leftovers in the liquor cabinet.

 Episode 183: MoonPie-eyed | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:11:46

Hey there, Kats and Kittens! We started out the evening saying we were only going to drink a little port, but when Tara got to the liquor store and they gave Tara a shopping cart! In addition to port, we had some MoonPie Shots: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POEDiXHUSLA We touch base and spend some time on the news and listener questions in the second half. Oh, and in the break is MC Frontalot's Nerd Life.

Episode 182: Nothing but Deathstars and Zombies | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:13:12

Hail fair internet traveler and welcome to episode 182 of The Most Popular Girls on the Internet.... the "award winning" podcast. We'd like to say a huge thank you to the listeners of The Monkey Chunk Show, for voting for us as their most favorite podcast in a tie with The Same Coin - earning is one half of the Brass Monkey Award.  We were surprised and so pleased, it definitely made our week! Those who have found our humor offensive and unladylike, have yet to hear this week's show, wherein we discuss the new Evil Dead movie, along with the practicalities of tree rape. The break this week, features the musical delights of those crazy comedy cats at Moosebutter.com - because I love me some Star Wars, and they have lots of other geeky cretions for you to listen to.  Check out their music and learn about them. We enjoyed having them inside of our earholes this week. Later on, we discuss the White House's response to an online petition to build the Deathstar. The weirdest prototypes found at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013. A training potty to make your kid a computer "wiz". Robotic cat ears that sense your brain waves and so much more! We could have done an entire show on this. I mean, I didn't even get to talking about the fork that nags at you for eating too fast. Also. I want to make a small correction:  In the show, I said there probably wasn't a good use for a cycling robot.  That's not true.  There are always  good uses for robots!  After a brief reflection, I think it could be used to carry around Larry The Puking robot which we discussed on last week's show - and by the way, they could have thought of a better name than Larry for a puking robot ... maybe Ralph.  Or Hurley. Last but not least, your listener emails and tweets.  If you'd like to send us love or hate mail you can do so at tmpgoti at gmail dot com.  Or tweet us @tmpgoti.

Episode 181: Good Girl, Naughty Boy, Dirty Girl | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:28:08

This week we are very excited to have the one and only Scott "The Sasquatch" Taylor from Doghouse Bastards join us in the studio. Not only is he large, hairy, and tattooed (i.e. one sexy mutha), he is a big GEEK, so he came on our show to let his geek flag fly. In the first half, we find out Scott's secret geek passions, find out how to get the most from your local establishment's door steward (hint: don't pee on him), as well as Tara geeking out over Guild Wars 2 and Sassy geeking out over the Wheel of Time (hmmm...we may need some new content...) In the second half, we talk about the potential for a next gen xBox announcement at E3, vomiting robots, cunning linguists, and of course answer listener mail. Enjoy!

 Episode 180: It Goes Boom! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:36:32

This week, we are joined by Jeff and Jim. We speak of Halo 4, Jeff's short patience with kids on XBOX Live, Jim's love for Borderlands 2, Cassandra's love for Catherine, Also, more Guild Wars 2 love from your's truly!.   Our break features our favorite independent geek makers of music. A HUGE thank you to The Efts, who out of the kindness of their hearts, sent us a Cee Dee with one of my favorite songs which I'd like to share with you.  Check out Brandon's Theme because you will surely be grooving to their digital sounds.  Also, see what The Efts are up to here! In our second half, we look retrospectively on the best parts of the year. Our travels and tech purchases! Last but not least, your listener questions! If you have a question for the show, email us at tmpgoti@gmail.com and get set to hear your email read on the air! Thank you so much for an awesome year of fun and antics. We'll see you next week!

 Episode 177: Games as Art | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:13:34

Grab a beverage of your choice and settle in. This week, Cassandra reminisces about E.T., and  I confess that a seemingly innocent drunken dungeon crawl created more mayhem than I bargained for, in Guild Wars 2. This week, we are proud to feature'This Love is a Robot' by 'The Efts', a husband and wife team who make beautiful geeky music together, all because they love to.  Please check out their website and allow your ears to enjoy what they have created. After the break, grab your monocle, we attempt to get highbrow for an entire 10 minutes. Are Games Art?  One art critic at The Guardian doesn't seem to think so.   Last but not least, we hear from the community as we read your emails and tweets.  Always, if you have a note for the show, please email us at tmpgoti@gmail.com and prepare to hear your email on the air.
