 Terrible Podcast - Episode 808 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:20

Season 7, Episode 41 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Monday show, David Todd and I start things off by talking about the few injuries the Pittsburgh Steelers during Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys and what they might mean as far immediate roster shuffling goes. The Steelers 35-30 loss was very disappointing and thus David and I have quite a few things to discuss when it comes to recapping what took place at Heinz Field on Sunday. We start with what happened at the end of the game and work backwards from there for a change. As you can imagine, we talk quite a bit about the play of the Steelers defense against the Cowboys and especially when it comes to how that unit performed in the second half. We discuss a few snap counts along the way and wonder if defensive ends Cameron Heyward and Stephon Tuitt need more time off the field during games. We discuss the overall quality of the Steelers defensive personnel that they have right now. Head coach Mike Tomlin decided to go for two following every touchdown that was scored against the Cowboys so we break down those decisions. We also talk about the comments quarterback Ben Roethlisberger made after the game as he was clearly attempting to send a message. As usual, we wrap up our Friday podcast by given you our picks against the spread for all the Week 10 games and that includes our final score predictions for the Steelers game against the Cowboys. As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post. Thanks for listening and don't forget to call or email with questions or comments and please pass us along to your friends!  Terrible Podcast - Episode 807 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:15

Season 7, Episode 40 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Friday show, David Todd and I start things off by talking about Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams, who reportedly underwent knee surgery this week. We discuss whether or not Williams has played his last snap for the Steelers as well as the candidates at the bottom of the 53-man roster who are at risk in order to make room for not only him while he’s down injured, but tight end Ladarius Green and linebacker Bud Dupree as well. Will Green be activated on Saturday? We give our thoughts on that possibly happening. After moving on to talk about the rest of the Steelers Thursday injury report, David and I quickly recap the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night win over the Cleveland Browns. We move on to talk extensively about the Steelers Sunday home game against the Dallas Cowboys and that starts with us discussing how good the Dallas offense has been so far this season and what the Steelers defense needs to do in order to contain them. Will rookie cornerback Artie Burns continue to see the bulk of playing time against the Cowboys even if the defense is forced to play a lot of base looks? We discuss that topic. We move on to discuss the play of the Cowboys defense so far this season and what we think the Steelers offense will need to do on Sunday in order to move the football against them. The Steelers offense has started slow in most of their games so far this season. We go over the stats and I see if David can remember the three scores that have taken place so far during the first two drives. As usual, we wrap up our Friday podcast by given you our picks against the spread for all the Week 10 games and that includes our final score predictions for the Steelers game against the Cowboys. As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.  Terrible Podcast - Episode 806 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:02:20

Season 7, Episode 39 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Wednesday show, David Todd and I start things off by going over the status of several injured Pittsburgh Steelers players based on what head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday during his weekly press conference. We move on to talk more about the Steelers loss to the Baltimore Ravens and that includes more talk about the overall gameplan that was used as well as the play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Tomlin had a few other comments on Tuesday that we go over as we do every Wednesday. The Steelers need to get wide receiver Antonio Brown some help moving forward so we discuss whether or not Eli Rogers or tight end Ladarius Green can provide it. With the game against the Dallas Cowboys now on tap, we have Bob Sturm on the show for a little bit before technical difficulties occur. Bob covers the Cowboys for 96.7 The Ticket in addition to The Dallas Morning News. We get about 6 minutes with Bob before being forced to recap the rest of what he had to say. Hopefully David will have him on his radio show later this week as Bob knows quite a bit about the Cowboys. Just the same, please make sure to follow Bob on Twitter at @SportsSturm to get his updates on Cowboys prior to Sundays game against the Steelers. After recapping out talk with Bob, David and I spend the last part of this Wednesday show talking about the punt the Steelers had blocked Sunday against the Ravens. As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post. Season 7, Episode 37 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Friday show, Alex Kozora sits in for David Todd once again and we kick things off by going over the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday injury report and that includes a lot of talk about the status of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers will apparently start rookie cornerback Artie Burns over veteran William Gay against the Ravens so we break down the significance of that shuffle. We look at the status of wide receiver Sammie Coates ahead of Sunday’s game and talk more about when we might finally see tight end Ladarius Green on the field. Alex and I break down the Ravens on both sides of the football ahead of the upcoming game and how the Steelers offense might try to attack their defense. We move on to discuss the Steelers five-man rushes so far this season and especially in third and long situations. We also compare these numbers to last season. Is Roethlisberger really a drama king or a diva? We discuss that topic briefly later in the show as well. We close things out on this Friday by picking all the games in the NFL this week and that includes our final score predictions for the Steelers-Ravens game. After that discussion, Alex and I quickly move on to talk about what Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had to say Tuesday during his weekly press conference. In addition to going over what Tomlin had to say about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, in addition to the other injured players who might play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, we also discuss several of his other main talking points. We move on to discuss what happened over the weekend as it relates to the AFC North and how the upcoming game against the Ravens is a big one for the Steelers. We continue with our thoughts on the play of quarterback Landry Jones in the Steelers Week 7 home loss to the New England Patriots and what led to him holding onto the football quite a bit during that game. Alex and I discuss the impact that several players might be able to make on both sides of the football now that the bye week is over. In the second half of this podcast, Alex and I have a long talk about the Steelers defense and discuss what needs to change during the second half of the regular season. We discuss scheme and personnel quite extensively during this long segment. Will any of the Steelers defensive coaches be on the hot seat come the end of the season? Season 7, Episode 34 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Friday show, David Todd and I start things off by talking about what the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to get done earlier this week before having their bye. We also discuss a few comments Joey Porter made this past week concerning linebacker Jarvis Jones and talk a little more about what happened with wide receiver Eli Rogers that led to him not playing this past Sunday in the loss to the New England Patriots. Being as it is the bye week, David and I are forced to talk a little more about what happened in the Steelers loss to the patriots. This time we focus more on the touchdown pass from Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to tight end Rob Gronkowski and what likely led to that play being successful based on what happened earlier in the game. In the second half of this show, David and I answer quite a few questions from listeners that we received on Twitter and there are quite a few of those that relate to several various topics. We close out the Friday show as we always do and that includes us giving you our picks for all the upcoming Week 8 games.
