Ron Paul 2012 Podcast

During this week's Texas Straight Talk update, Rep. Ron Paul talks about the subcommittee hearing he chaired on the subject of legal tender laws, honest commodity based money, and the monopoly of the Federal Reserve. Dr. Paul advocates for a voluntary transition- where individuals and business are allowed to use alternate currencies- basically legalizing monetary freedom. Coverage continues to  get harder to come by, as we await the Republican National Convention in less than three weeks. Much speculation remained this week, as conflicting reports came out claiming Dr. Paul will/will not be speaking at the RNC. While Dr. Paul has not been officially announced as a speaker in Tampa, sources within the GOP insist that he will be visible there. Meanwhile, Paul supporters are not able to rest with their victories in hand. In Louisiana and Maine, establishment forces are demanding compromises that they aren't entitled to. And in Minnesota, a Romney loyalist is on the attack against US Sen. candidate Kurt Bills. On the other hand, Justin Amash and Kerry Benitvolio won their respective primaries in Michigan, so progress continues. Finally, there is the Lawyers 4 Ron Paul lawsuit, that has apparently been adjudicated this week out in California- I included the most recent interview for your own convenience. While the American people have grown weary of the constant wars, Washington is absolutely tone-deaf. This shouldn't surprise us, as both parties' have an interest in pointing to progress in the area of the foreign policy (as if they're getting something done in DC). The truth is: the military is a grand federal jobs plan! The armed forces work in the area of 'national security' seems so much more legitimate than hiring people to dig holes, and then hiring more people to come along and fill them back up! Dr. Paul may well have the five state pluralities required to speak at the convention and have his name formally placed into nomination- but the GOP continues to work to strip Paul delegates who are rightly set to go down to Tampa at the end of the month. The Republican National Committee has apparently certified all the Romney/not Paul delegates from the state of Louisiana, despite the fact that slate was voted on by a minority of state convention delegates! Moreover, THE GOP establishment in Maine is coming for those delegates, as well. Claiming that WE COMMITTED VOTE FRAUD, while Romney's top lawyers stood by to oversee the process back in May. The official campaign has finally challenged the rulings in both Louisiana and Massachusetts, but the question remains: Whose idea was it to base the whole campaign on this delegate process, that requires good faith and fairness of the organized criminal network known as the Republican Party? Due to the fact that so many of you have participated in the GOP on behalf of Ron Paul (and since Barack Obama has been such a tyrant), I wanted to support the Republican nominee. All they had to do was to welcome the Paul delegates with an outstretched hand, and to recognize us as a significant bloc within the Party. But instead, they throw salt in our wounds. I really had to reach to find appropriate audio this week, but I wanted you to be able to hear about Paulfest and the ongoing Lawyers for Paul lawsuit. On Wednesday, Ron Paul appeared on Fox Business' Money and spoke with anchor Melissa Francis about the Federal Reserve’s decision not to take further action on the economy. Dr. Paul tried to explain the effects that central economic planning on our society and reiterated his efforts to audit the Fed.
