In our episode 28th , we are going to know the Reyes Magos tradition. It´s a spanish tradition similar to Santa Klaus tradition in other countries. The Reyes Night is the january 5th at night and in that night three Magic Kings leave presents for all spanish children. Some days before a spanish child, Pablo, is going to write a letter to the Kings and we can review one of the most usual subjunctive spanish verb form. In “Photographs with comments”, a new album of Barcelona collection: la Rambla de las Flores, de Barcelona. En nuestro episodio número 28, vamos a conocer la tradición de los Reyes Magos, en España. Una tradición similar a la de Santa Klaus en otros países. La noche de Reyes es la noche del 5 al 6 de enero, y durante esa noche, la leyenda dice que los Tres Reyes Magos de Oriente van con sus camellos y su séquito repartiendo juguetes por todos los hogares. Previamente, Pablo va a escribir una carta a los Reyes, y con ella vamos a aprender una de las formas más usadas del subjuntivo español. In our episode of today we included the most usual and used spanish verbs when we want to express an adverse opinion against something o someone. In our last episodes we reviewed some kind and accommodating verbs to express our opinion, but in this episode we are going to review some more strong verbs in order to express that anything doesn´t like us at all. In order to better exemplify it we tried a song of a rocker spanish singer (Carlos Goñi, group Revólver): Odio (Hate) where he is reviewing many things he hate, he can´t stand, he does not like at all, he detest, can not bear,…You have the electronic address in our PDF (www.spanishpodcast.org) where you can hear the song and see the videoclip in Youtube. (We thought you can be interested in review, in spanish, some tradicions linked to Christmas. It´s because we put a new album of photographs in www.spanishpodcast.org about a nice christmas market placed at the Cathedral Square of Barcelona where you´ll can see the Christmas Crib with a special characters as a “caganer” that this year represents some very famous people: scoccer players as Ronaldinho, Eto´o, or politicians as Bush, etc. and you´ll can know the most very old christmas traditions). En nuestro episodio de hoy hemos incluido los verbos que más usamos en español para expresar una opinión desfavorable hacia algo o hacia alguien, una opinión radicalmente desfavorable. Si en los últimos episodios, veíamos verbos y expresiones amables, contemporizadores, para expresar nuestra opinión, en este episodio vamos a repasar los verbos más fuertes para expresar que algo no nos gusta en absoluto. Para ejemplificarlo mejor, hemos escogido una canción de Carlos Goñi, del grupo rockero español Revólver, que justamente se llama “Odio” y en la que el autor va repasando todo lo que le disgusta mediante verbos como “odiar”, “no soportar”, “detestar”, “aborrecer”, “no aguantar”,etc. a los que nosotros, además, añadiremos algunos sinónimos. Esta semana, nuevo álbum en Fotografías Comentadas, en: www.spanispodcast.org, dedicado al Mercado Navideño de Santa Lucía, en Barcelona. Es un álbum con fotografías del mercado navideño de Santa Lucía. Este mercado se coloca en la plaza de la Catedral de Barcelona desde hace dos siglos. Allí podremos ver cómo es el típico pesebre (o belén) que se pone en muchas casas por esta época; podremos conocer la tradición catalana del “caga tió”; ir viendo todas las figuritas del pesebre, incluido el famoso “caganer” que, este año, ha incorporado personajes como Ronaldinho, Eto´o o Bush... En fin, no os lo perdáis; repasaréis todo lo referente a la Navidad, en español, pero sobre todo, ¡os lo pasaréis en grande!

We are going to review formulas that be able us to explain our own opinions in a discussion or on the dialogue. These expressions allow to take part in few situations explaining the own point of view but without disqualify other people. Expressions that make you easier your dialogue fluency and it make you easier interchanging opinions in a kind and polite way. In this Listening Practice 10th we´re going to give you more exemples about that we worked in 25th and 26th episodes, examples arranged in diary situations where you are going to practice all these formulas in order to better express your personal opinion. We toke photographs of the first and second part of the Ramblas: la Rambla de Canaletas and la Rambla de los Estudios, named to as a Rambla de los Pájaros.Don´t lose that because they are beautiful photographs with unmistakable scenes of La Rambla and with spanish reading to introduce you in this magical and wonderful space of Barcelona. In the 22nd episode, Yolanda didn´t feel well, she felt dizzy, she had a fever, she had her nose blocked and she had a runny nose, she cough and she shivered. She had to go to the doctor to know what was the matter and to know what to do for feeling well herself . Yolanda went to consult to the doctor and she explained him their symptoms. There was an only diagnosis: she had a very important flu. The doctor recommended her medicines and adviced in order to she could recover herself and she could go back to the diary life. Now, in our Listening Practice 9, we can review all these situations around to have a flu, to go to to the doctor, take medicine, etc. in order you can automate a little these linguistics uses. Im 23rd and 24th episodes, Toni was crazzy for Alice but he was going through a personal crisis that was caused by a few changes in their life circumstances. He was suffering a kind of anxiety attack and he didn´t find answers to his new situation. Toni decided to visite to a psychoanalyst to try to find out what was the matter with his self and to know how to come up against this new life situation.Now, in our 9th Practice Listening we review and study in deepth similar situations and we wide the linked vocabulary in order you can integrate linguistic topics more lasting. En nuestro episodio nº 22, Yolanda no se encuentraba bien, estaba mareada, tenía un poco de fiebre, tenía la nariz tapada, tos y escalofríos. Tuvo que ir al médico para saber qué le pasaba y adoptar las medidas oportunas para volver a encontrarse bien. Ha ido a la consulta de su médico de cabecera y le ha explicado sus síntomas. El diagnóstico ha sido seguro: tenía la gripe. El doctor le ha hecho las recomendaciones oportunas para que pudiera curarse y volver a la vida normal. Ahora, con nuestra Inmersión nº 9, en español, repasamos todas estas situaciones en torno a tener la gripe, ir al médico, tomar medicinas,etc. para que podáis automatizar un poquito su uso. En los episodios números 23 y 24, Toni estaba loco por Alice, pero al mismo tiempo estaba pasando por una crisis debida al cambio de sus circunstancias vitales. Tenía ansiedad y no encontraba todas las respuestas. Se ha decidido a visitar a un pscioanalista para intentar averiguar qué le estaba pasando y cómo tenía que enfrentarse a esta nueva situación en su vida.En nuestra Inmersión en español nº 9, repasamos y profundizamos situaciones parecidas y ampliamos el vocabulario referente a ellas, con el fin de que integréis de una formas más duradera los contenidos lingüísticos trabajados en esta unidad.

In the 20th episode, we go to the movies. We go to see a movie of with numbered movie tickets session. It´s saturday and we´ll have to queue up. Four friends meet to go to the movies and they talk about how organize them self : schedule, tickets, to meet,... Now, in our Listening Practice 8, we can review all these situations around to meet, to go to the movies, take movie tickets, etc. in order you can automate a little these linguistics uses. In our 21th episode, Ana has to go shopping. She wants to buy a special dress for the occasion, not very formal, not very conventional, but she wants it nice and elegant. Ana goes shopping with her friend Laura, who always advices her very well and she helps her to choose adequately. Firstable they look at shop windows of fashion boutiques, later both come into and Ana tries on few dresses. Few dresses aren´t nice for her but another ones fit her.Finally she takes a black dress which fits her great and which is the one suits her .Now, in our 8th Practice Listening we review and study in deepth similar situations and we wide the linked vocabulary in order you can integrate linguistic topics more lasting. En nuestro episodio nº 20, nos íbamos al cine. Íbamos a ver una película en una sesión de entradas numeradas. Era sábado y que había que hacer cola. Cuatro amigos quedaban para ir al cine y conversaban sobre cómo organizarse : horarios, entradas, quedar,...Ahora, con nuestra Inmersión nº 8, en español, repasamos todas estas situaciones en torno a quedar, encontrarse, ir al cine, ir a ver una película, sacar las entradas, coger buena fila,etc. para que podáis automatizar un poquito su uso. En nuestro episodio nº 21, Ana iba de boda. Quería comprarse un vestido especial para la ocasión, no muy formal, pero bonito y elegante. Nos vamos al cine. Vamos a ver una película en sesión de tarde, de entradas numeradas. Es sábado y hay que hacer cola. Cuatro amigos quedan para ir al cine y conversan sobre cómo organizarse : horarios, entradas, quedar,...Vámonos con ellos y podremos asistir, paso a paso, a su conversación. Let´s go to the movies. In this episode we´ll make a review about basics topics of our trhee last episodes ; Second Life, Avatar, and Toni & Alice. We can remember these topics down: In our 17th, episode, we told about Second Life like a virtual replica of our real world. By the dialogue between Marga and Alberto, we can know what is Second Life, how are its virtual habitants, what´s the matter over there, if money is present in this virtual world, how do its habitants relacionate, and we´ll know a little its history, evolution and current peak. In our 18th episode, we discussed about the avatar like habitant of Second Life, it is the main character of the whole virtual life of SL. In this podcast we knew deeply how many kinds of avatars you can design, how do they link each other and how do they communicate. In our 19th episode, we saw what happened Next day after Samantha´s party : Toni called Alice to meet on the afternoon. Toni and Alice went for a walk, they chatted, they confessed each other,explained each other their romantic, love lives and analysed them. At night, they didn´t want to say goodbye and they both went to a charming restaurant where they continued to know each other. They had whole night ahead of them. En nuestro episodio 17, hablamos sobre Second Life como réplica virtual de nuestro mundo real. Mediante el diálogo entre Marga y Alberto nos enteramos de qué es Second Life, cómo son sus habitantes virtuales, qué pasa ahí dentro, si se mueve o no dinero en el seno de SL, cómo se relacionan sus habitantes, y conoceremos un poco su historia, evolución y auge actual. En nuestro episodio 18, tratamos sobre el avatar en tanto que habitante de Second Life, el protagonista de toda la vida virtual que allí se desarrolla. En este podcast pudimos conocer a fondo cuántos tipos de avatar pueden diseñarse, cómo se relacionan entre ellos y cómo se comunican. En nuestro episodio número 19, vimos lo que sucedió al día siguiente de la fiesta de Samantha : Toni llamó a Alice y quedaron en verse por la tarde. Toni y Alice pasearon, charlaron, se hicieron confesiones, se contaron sus respectivas vidas amorosas, analizaron su vida amorosa,...Por la noche, no querían despedirse aún, por eso se fueron a cenar a un restaurante encantador en el que continuaron conociéndose.
