 SOTG 263 – Be a Man! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 45:46

In a continuing effort to destroy the foundation of the American family and society, the Huffington Post has decided to release a propaganda film questioning what masculinity means. We know what it means and have an answer from them. Two “Go Team” moments, one in Detroit and one in Illinois show us that there are still men in America who are willing to fight to defend the innocent. A 75 year old Army veteran showed a 19 year old punk the meaning of courage and we cannot applaud him loudly enough. Lastly, someone in Merry Ole England has got a fright, tune in to find out why. Vernon, 75-- a retired Caterpillar technology worker and Army vet—is recovering from surgery at his home in Morton, Illinois. He was leading a chess club meeting with local kids at the Morton library Tuesday afternoon when Dustin Brown, 19, burst into the room holding a knife in each hand and threatening the children. “I failed my mission to kill everyone,” Brown told police Thursday, according to a prosecutor’s court affidavit that accompanied formal charges, including attempted murder. Vernon described the two knives as “hunting types” with “fixed blades about 5 inches” long. The 16 frightened children – ranging in age from 7 to 13-- scurried under tables in the library’s conference room as Vernon stood in front of Brown. Brown appeared angry as he focused his attention on the children. Vernon kept his cool and distracted Brown to give the kids a chance to escape. “I tried to talk to him. I tried to settle him down,” Vernon told the Pekin Daily Times. “I didn’t, but I did deflect his attention” from the kids “and calmed him a bit. I asked him if he was from Morton, did he go to high school. I asked what his problem was. He said his life sucks. That’s a quote.” As Vernon spoke, he inched closer to Brown. “He backed away when I’d get closer.” With a few steps, Vernon put himself between Brown and the conference room door. “I gave them the cue to get the heck out of there, and, boy, they did that! Quick, like rabbits,” Vernon said. After all the children fled, the knife-fight training Vernon learned in the Army five decades ago kicked in. Brown slashed from the right towards Vernon, who blocked the blade with his left hand. “I should have hit his wrist. That’s how you’re trained, but it’s been half a century,” Vernon recalled. “First rule of combat: Be fast and vigorous,” said Vernon, who never served in combat. The veteran’s medium build was enough to overcome Brown. “I grabbed him and threw... Somehow he wound up on a table” with the knife in his left hand pinned under his body, Vernon said. “I hit him on the (right) collarbone with my closed hand” until Brown dropped that knife. Vernon said he was “bleeding pretty good,” but managed to hold Brown until a library employee removed the knives and helped to keep Brown pinned until police and paramedics arrived. At the time of the incident, Brown was free on bond while facing prosecution charges of possessing child pornography. He told police he’d been planning for two weeks to kill people and t...

SOTG 262 – Will you get on the Train? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:16

Where are the American Patriots? Where the men who will preserve the Representative Republic? Will you stand and fight for your nation or is your personal comfort more important than liberty? These questions must be honestly answered before we distract ourselves with games. During our SWAT Fuel Warrior of the Week segment our caller has a question about shoulder holsters. What happens to you when you get stopped for speeding to the hospital in a slave state? Tune in to find out. Even you may be shocked. William O’Neil told the Chicago Sun-Times that a trooper wrote a $1,500 ticket for his son, Michael, even after an ambulance came to the scene to deliver William to the hospital. Illinois State Police officials said they’ve looked into the incident and found nothing inappropriate. “If that’s the attitude in general, we all have a problem,” William said. Asked about the complaint, a police spokesman told the Sun-Times: “Mr. O’Neil’s recollection of the events [is] not accurate to what occurred on the officer’s in-car video. The officer’s conduct was proper and within policy during the incident.” William, 60, had a heart attack four years ago, so when he felt chest and shoulder pain again last month, he told his 30-year-old son, “We’re going to have to go to the hospital.” Michael was allegedly going 82 mph in a 55 mph zone when he was pulled over. The trooper walked over to William on the passenger side and asked him what was going on. “And I said, ‘I think I’m having a heart attack. We’re on the way to the hospital,” William said. William then showed the trooper his bag of medication. “I lifted it up and he said, ‘You don’t look like you’re having a heart attack,’ which, you know, um, was pretty rough,” he said. “I mean, that’s pretty rough.” Eventually an ambulance was called to ferry William to the hospital and, after he left, the trooper finished ticketing Michael. “The last thing he said to me was something like, ‘You need to slow down next time,'” Michael said." From quotes.liberty-tree.ca: "War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stuart Mill Student of the Gun Radio airs every Monday through Thursday  at 9 a.m. EST and can be found by going directly to www.StudentoftheGunRadio.com.Those using mobile devices can follow us with iTunes or Stitcher.  SOTG 261 – Harvard Study debunks Gun Control | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:16

Every once in awhile the left actually tells the truth. A Harvard University study was conducted to consider gun ownership compared to murder rates in industrialized nations. The results will not shock most in the audience, but the source material will. Don’t look for this report on CNN. We have a new feature for Thursday’s shows; SOTG U Homeroom. Each week we will address a subject that requires a bit of thought and inspires learning. This new feature is sponsored by CapArms, a premium ammunition manufacturer. This week we ponder the question about humans stand still for the slaughter. In other words, more firearms, less crime, concludes the virtually unpublicized research report by attorney Don B. Kates and Dr. Gary Mauser. But the key is firearms in the hands of private citizens. “The study was overlooked when it first came out in 2007,” writes Michael Snyder, “but it was recently re-discovered and while the findings may not surprise some, the place where the study was undertaken is a bit surprising. The study came from the Harvard Journal of Law, that bastion of extreme, Ivy League liberalism. Titled Would Banning Firearms Reduce Murder and Suicide?, the report “found some surprising things.” The popular assertion that the United States has the industrialized world’s highest murder rate, says the Harvard study, is a throwback to the Cold War when Russian murder rates were nearly four times higher than American rates. In a strategic disinformation campaign, the U.S. was painted worldwide as a gunslinging nightmare of street violence – far worse than what was going on in Russia. The line was repeated so many times that many believed it to be true. Now, many still do. Today violence continues in Russia – far worse than in the U.S. – although the Russian people remain virtually disarmed. “Similar murder rates also characterize the Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and various other now-independent European nations of the former U.S.S.R.,” note Kates and Mauser . Kates is a Yale-educated criminologist and constitutional lawyer. Dr. Mauser is a Canadian criminologist at Simon Fraser University with a Ph.D. from the University of California Irvine. “International evidence and comparisons have long been offered as proof of the mantra that more guns mean more deaths and that fewer guns, therefore, mean fewer deaths. Unfortunately, such discussions are all too often been afflicted by misconceptions and factual error.” By the early 1990s, Russia's murder rate was three times higher than that of the United States. Thus, “in the United States and the former Soviet Union transitioning into current-day Russia,” say Kates and Mauser, “homicide results suggest that where guns are scarce, other weapons are substituted in killings."  SOTG 260 – Gov. Moonbeam and his Magic Dust | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:52

Rather than deal with the criminal behavior of humans, Gov. Jerry Brown, People’s Republik of Kalifornia, has attacked an inanimate object and made it more difficult for good people to be armed. This move by Gov. Moonbeam ensures that the schools of KA will be filled full of victims ready for the slaughter. In other news, Gov. Moonbeam tackled a difficult issue that has plagued the citizens of the Republik for many years; school mascot names. No longer will Kalifornia schools be able to use one extremely insensitive word as team or mascot name. We applaud the Governor for the courage to take on this issue. Also, Wednesday is SWAT Fuel Fitness Talk day. Jerry Brown signed legislation Saturday that will ban the carrying of concealed guns on school and university campuses in this state. Sen. Lois Wolk (D-Davis) said the bill she introduced several months ago is needed to close a loophole that allows people with concealed-weapons permits to carry firearms onto school grounds. The bill prohibits that practice, unless school officials grant permission or the carrier is retired from law enforcement. The bill is supported by Peggy McCrum, president of the California Chapters of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. “California’s college campuses and K-12 schools should be sanctuaries for learning, free from the fear of gun violence,” McCrum said, adding the new law “will make schools safer and decrease students’ risk of being injured or killed.” The action comes a week after a gunman killed nine and wounded nine others before killing himself at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., and just one day after deadly shootings at college campuses in Texas and Arizona. Some gunowner-rights activists have suggested that allowing concealed weapons on campuses would provide an armed counterforce to such gunmen or at least a deterrent. “This bill will put thousands of innocent lives at risk,” said Brandon Combs, president of the Firearms Policy Coalition. “Criminals will know that their intended victims are totally vulnerable when they’re on California school grounds because SB 707 will ensure that they’re defenseless against a violent attack.” The measure is supported by law enforcement groups, including the California College and University Police Chiefs Assn. SB 707 is opposed by the National Rifle Assn., which said in a letter to legislators that it “raises significant concerns under the Second Amendment by further infringing the rights of law-abiding — and properly licensed and trained individuals — to possess a firearm for self-defense." From www.latimes.com: "California became the first state in the nation to pass a law prohibiting public schools from using the term "Redskins" as a team name or mascot. Gov. Jerry Brown on Sunday approved the measure barring the use of the term that many Native Americans find offensive but vetoed a separate measure that would have barred public properties from being named after individuals associated with the Confederacy. As of Jan. 1, 2017, all public schools will be barred from using the term "Redskin," which many Native Americans consider a racial slur. The measure by Assemblyman Luis Alejo (D-Watsonville) will allow schools that use materials th...

Madman Chris Harper-Mercer murdered eight students and a teacher last week in a shooting spree on campus. David Jacques and community leaders, including Douglas County commissioners, the police chief and local sheriff, do not want Obama to come grandstand in Roseburg for political purposes. Now, there is a Facebook protest page set up to protest Obama in Roseburg. They rolled out their “Unwelcome Mat." From www.washingtonpost.com: "Alan Holmes, an eighth-grade student in Gresham, Ore., still remembers the day his older brother returned home after serving in Iraq with the Marines. “I was proud of him,” Holmes told ABC affiliate KATU. “I remember the day he came home and I was just so happy. I was little but I still remember it, he made me happy.” [Husband has lived in his front yard for six months after wife kicked him to the curb] As he got older, Holmes’s pride turned into patriotism. He wanted to demonstrate that patriotism last week by wearing a T-shirt to school that included a design memorializing fallen soldiers and bearing the words “Standing for those who stood for us,” according to KATU. Instead, the image on his shirt — boots, a helmet and a gun — got him suspended, the station reported. Officials at Dexter McCarty Middle School asked Holmes to change his shirt, according to Fox affiliate KPTV. When he refused, the station reported, he was given an ultimatum: Remove the shirt or face suspension. The standoff comes during an extremely tense time in schools across the country, but especially among those in Oregon. Last week, a 26-year-old man walked into Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., armed with three pistols and a semiautomatic rifle and began methodically shooting students and professors. The incident, which occurred on the fourth day of the fall semester, left nine people dead, as well as the shooter, and led to 10 being hospitalized. [Oregon shooter said to have singled out Christians for killing in ‘horrific act of cowardice’] Holmes has refused to back down, but his suspension has left him saddened. “I was just upset,” he told KATU. “I was heartbroken. My brother, he means everything for me. Just being able to help and give back to the people who fought and died for us it just makes me feel good.” School administrators called Holmes’s father and asked him to pick up his son from school. “Yeah, I’m proud of him,” Charles Holmes, Alan’s father, told KPTV. “I would’ve done the same thing.” Administrators declined to comment directly on the incident,

 SOTG 258 – Gun Culture and Politics | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:04

There is a segment of the gun culture, gun owners, who cannot seem to understand why we need to talk about politics. During this episode we address that subject head on. By the time we are finished you will understand exactly why it is critical for gun people to talk politics. Our SWAT Fuel Warrior of the Week has a question about what distance to practice shooting a handgun. As you can imagine, Paul has a good deal to say about that subject. Economics Professor Daniel Hamermesh says he teaches required courses that draw hundreds of students and it would be difficult to identity one who may be disgruntled or has a mental disorder. The Austin American-Statesman reports that some faculty have threatened to leave over the law that takes effect Aug. 1, but Hamermesh appears to be the first to have followed through. The law allows campuses to carve out "reasonable" gun-free zones, provided they don't effectively ban guns entirely."  SOTG 257 – Color Wars Pt. 2, Steve Lauer Interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:00

To clear the air, we invited both representatives from both Duracoat and Cerakote to join us for a conversation about the ongoing “Color Wars”. The Cerakote representative turned us down, but Steve Lauer, founder and inventor of Duracoat took us up on our offer. Tune in to hear about Steve’s one on one fight with Nanny Bloomberg and we got Steve to go on record about ugly guns. When Democrat presidential candidates feel free to attack gun owners and call for greater restrictions during an election campaign we need to pay attention. Professor Paul breaks down the hard, cold reality of the world we are living in. Are we truly being ruled by rats? SOURCES: Please thank FrogLube for their support                                                                     Facebook - www.facebook.com/Froglube                                                                     Website - froglube.com From fivethirtyeight.com: "Democrats get dyspeptic trying to understand why, despite the large majorities of Americans who favor specific gun control laws, Congress has done nothing. But the answer to that conundrum also explains why Hillary Clinton felt free to propose stronger gun controls than Bernie Sanders has. Earlier this week, she said she would prevent those convicted of domestic abuse from buying guns, close the “gun show” and “Charleston” loopholes,1 and work to repeal a law that helps gun manufacturers avoid legal consequences from the criminal use of their products. She’s the second Democrat to propose tough new regulations. Martin O’Malley, the former governor of Maryland, goes even further than Clinton; he proposed a national firearms registry, among other new laws. The bulk of support for stricter gun control comes from concentrated majorities in cities and in blue states. Opposition is distributed more widely across the country. That disconnect helps prevent gun control laws from passing Congress, but does nothing to discourage a Democrat campaigning for national office from pushing for gun control. The reason for the former is the undemocratic nature of the Senate; the latter is in part because of the winner-take-all nature of the Electoral College. Nevada’s two senators are as powerful as New York’s two senators, even though New York’s population is six times the size of Nevada’s. There isn’t great data on support for gun control laws by state — polling on the subject is tricky — but here’s a decent proxy: gun ownership. The gun ownership rate in New York, according to a Boston University survey, was 10 percent in 2013. In Nevada, it was 38 percent. The views of both states get equal weight in the Senate. It turns out, moreover, that anti-gun-control voters, who tend to be whiter and older than the overall population, are generally more regular voters, so there’s an additional tug against politicians in states and districts that tend to split along red/blue lines fairly evenly. This also explains why Democratic candidates for president feel free to support gun control now, but members of Congress don’t, especially if they’re from rural states. Our system of government makes it much harder to dislodge strongly held cultural beliefs through legislation, in part because it gives beliefs that originate in rural, less-populous states disproportionate influence. To use another example, it doesn’t matter if majorities of voters support legislation to address climate change if the senators from enough small-population states don’t. Another problem for Democrats: When they advocate gun control policies, people who might support those policies oppose them because they come from Democrats. Even calling it “gun control” smacks of big government. Republicans who support gun control on its merits are less likely to vo...

 SOTG 256 – Support your Local Sheriff | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:06

As if he were somehow to blame, the sycophant media has been trying to lay blame for the Oregon mass killing at the feet of the local Sheriff. You see, the Sheriff is not down with the Administration’s citizen disarmament plan and had the audacity to say so publicly. During our SWAT Fuel Fitness talk Jarrad addresses a topic that many listeners have requested. The Oregon sheriff who is running the investigation into the Roseburg college shooting is a campaigner against gun control who has lobbied the Obama administration. Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin wrote a letter to Vice President Joe Biden in January 2013, one month after the Sandy Hook atrocities, defending the right to bear arms, protected by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. 'Gun control is NOT the answer to preventing heinous crimes like school shootings,' Hanlin wrote. He also said he would not enforce or allow any federal agents to enforce regulation enacted by Congress to further gun control. The sheriff has refused to publicly name Chris-Harper-Mercer, the 26-year-old gunman behind the campus shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, that killed nine, saying naming him will only give him the notoriety he sought. 'I don't want to glorify his name. I don't want to glorify his cause,' Hanlin told CNN. In a blog post linked to him, Harper-Mercer said he relished the headlines garnered by Vester Flanagan, the man who shot dead two reporters during a live broadcast in Virginia in August before killing himself. Seems the more people you kill, the more you're in the limelight,' the post read. A day after the shooting, residents of the quiet former timber town struggled to comprehend the deadliest mass killing this year in the United States. The gunman also wounded a further nine people in the rampage. He then killed himself after being hit in an exchange of gunfire with police. Harper-Mercer lived with his mother in nearby Winchester and was described as 'lonely' and 'skittish' by neighbors. He stormed into a classroom at the college that serves mostly older students in career transitions, shot a professor at point-blank range, then ordered cowering students to stand up and state their religion before he shot them one by one, according to survivors' accounts. Oregon Governor Kate Brown declined in television interviews on Friday morning to discuss gun control, as did the sheriff, and said it was a time for healing the community. Just hours after Thursday's shooting, a visibly angry President Barack Obama urged Americans to press their elected leaders to enact tougher firearms safety laws. 'Somehow this has become routine. The reporting is routine. My response here, at this podium, ends up being routine,

SOTG 225 – LA and Seattle say Screw the 2nd Amendment, we do what we want | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:47

Within one week of each other, left coast lunatics in California and Washington State have thumbed their noses at the Bill of Rights and the 2nd Amendment. Both cities passed feel-good, do-nothing bills that are aimed at punishing the law-abiding in the naive belief that they will affect criminal behavior. We have a “Go Team Moment” from Las Vegas and yet another reason you should take your gun on a date. Professor Paul ponders on a new awareness campaign, WWGWD (What Would George Washington Do). You do not want to miss this one. SOURCES: From www.breitbart.com: "On August 5, a man and woman were getting out of their car at an apartment complex in Las Vegas “when three black males came up”—one of whom allegedly had a gun—and demanded the woman hand over her purse. The man then pulled his own gun and shot the alleged armed robber, causing the other two to flee. The incident took place at about 9:25 p.m. “near Spencer Street and East Tropicana Avenue.” According to 3 News, witnesses at the apartment complex confirmed what the couple told police, and “a weapon believed to belong to the suspect also was recovered at the scene.” Metro police summed up the incident by saying the “three men (allegedly) approached a couple in their car, one of them armed with a gun. He tried to take the woman’s purse [and] the man in the car pulled out a gun and shot that suspect.” The suspect was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he died. The two suspects who fled are believed to be “black men in their late teens or early 20s.” Susan Russell lives in the same complex where the incident occurred, and she said the news convinced her to get a gun. She said the news scared her, so she “went to the gun store.” Russell said, “I’m not against guns. But I’m against criminals using guns for criminal activities." From www.guns.com: "In 60 days, there will be no such thing as a legally grandfathered civilian-owned magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds in Los Angeles. Mayor Eric Garcetti signed the citywide ordinance Friday prohibiting the ownership of what the state deems large-capacity detachable firearm magazines. The controversial measure was introduced by City Councilman Paul Krekorian and passed the council by unanimous vote on July 28. Krekorian, along with gun control advocates, joined Garcetti at City Hall for the signing ceremony. “I am committed to reducing the gun violence in our city,” Garcetti said. “This ban is part of that larger effort. It will help keep our streets safer and help prevent the magnitude of mass shootings. We are sending a clear message – we will not wait for Washington to act, we are ready to act now.” The ordinance, Council File 13-0068, bans the possession of any magazine capable of holding more than 10 cartridges inside the city limits. While state lawmakers enacted a similar prohibition in 1999 during the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, it allowed continued possession of mags already in circulation. The new Los Angeles law removes that protection. People who currently possess such magazines, many for collectable firearms registered decades ago, have a 60 day window to remove them from the city, sell them to a legal gun dealer, or turn them into the Los Angeles Police Department. Exemptions are in place for Hollywood prop masters, gunsmiths, law enforcement, museums who have such magazines on display and anyone with a grandfathered mag to a weapon for which there is no 10-round magazine produced. Krekorian, the author of the ban, painted the new prohibition as a lifesaver, saying, “These magazines may not be the cause of gun violence, but when shooters use them, tragedies turn into massacres.” The National Rifle Association, who challenged similar confiscatory bans in Sunnyvale and San Francisco, are pledging action on the City of Angles latest attempt at gun control. “This ordinance will not prevent violent crime or mass shootings,

Yet another sitting Federal Judge has reinterpreted the Bill of Rights to support the overreach of the state and curtail the actions and rights of the citizen. Are “Rights” in the United States of America really just privileges? Paul calls out social bullying in Connecticut where a woman attacked a teenager for “taking picture” with a quad-copter. Yeah, that really happened. We have a special guest for SWAT Fuel Fitness Talk. Be sure you are tuned in. SOURCES: From freebeacon.com: "A British sniper from the elite SAS saved an 8-year-old boy and his father from an Islamic State executioner by shooting the executioner in the head last month. The SAS sniper team was reportedly tipped off to the execution in the Syrian desert by an Iraqi spy. When they arrived, they found that several Shia Muslims had already been beheaded by their captors. The IS (commonly referred to as ISIS) executioner, flanked on both sides by armed companions, was preparing to kill a young boy and his father next when the SAS team deployed its .50-caliber silenced sniper rifle. “The ISIS thug who was about to decapitate the father was shot in the head and collapsed,” an unnamed source told the Daily Star. “Everyone just stared in confusion.” “The sniper then dispatched the two henchmen with single shots–three kills with three bullets.” The young boy and his father were last spotted heading to the Turkish border as the Syrian town they were evacuating celebrated the killing of the IS fighters. “It was a good day’s work,” the source told the paper." From www.wired.com: "THIS WEEK MARKS the two-year anniversary since Cody Wilson, the inventor of the world’s first 3-D printable gun, received a letter from the State Department demanding that he remove the blueprints for his plastic-printed firearm from the internet. The alternative: face possible prosecution for violating regulations that forbid the international export of unapproved arms. Now Wilson is challenging that letter. And in doing so, he’s picking a fight that could pit proponents of gun control and defenders of free speech against each other in an age when the line between a lethal weapon and a collection of bits is blurrier than ever before. Wilson’s gun manufacturing advocacy group Defense Distributed, along with the gun rights group the Second Amendment Foundation, on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against the State Department and several of its officials, including Secretary of State John Kerry. In their complaint, they claim that a State Department agency called the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) violated their first amendment right to free speech by telling Defense Distributed that it couldn’t publish a 3-D printable file for its one-shot plastic pistol known as the Liberator, along with a collection of other printable gun parts, on its website. By posting a file online, the DDTC claimed Defense Distributed had potentially violated arms export controls—just as if it had shipped AR-15s to Mexico. In its 2013 letter to Defense Distributed, the DDTC cited a long-controversial set of regulations known as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which controls whether and how Americans can sell weapons beyond U.S. borders. By merely posting a 3-D-printable file to a website, in other words, the DDTC claimed Defense Distributed had potentially violated arms export controls—just as if it had shipped a crate of AR-15s to, say, Mexico. But the group’s lawsuit now argues that whether or not the Liberator is a weapon, its blueprints are “speech,” and that Americans’ freedom of speech is protected online—even when that speech can be used to make a gun with just a few clicks. “The internet is available worldwide, so posting something on the internet is deemed an export, and to [the State Department] this justifies imposing a prior restraint on internet speech,” says Alan Gura, the lawyer leading the lawsuit,

Illegal invaders are committing atrocities against the American people and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, under orders from above, are turning a blind eye and letting it happen. After an illegal invader in California murdered a woman we have an nearly identical story from Ohio. Paul takes a moment to clarify the ‘teachable moment’ from a recent YouTube video confrontation between a homeowner and a police officer. Unfortunately, it seems that far too many Students of the Gun missed the point of the exercise. SOURCES: From www.breitbart.com (http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/08/08/illegal-alien-crime-accounts-for-over-30-of-murders-in-some-states/): "Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump deserves credit for forcing all 17 Republican candidates to talk about the social costs of illegal immigration, but it is not “Trump’s issue.” We will be making a fatal mistake if we let the media discuss it that way. As Ann Coulter has pointed out, this is the most critical issue of the 2016 race because this is the issue that will define whether or not there will even be an American nation recognizable as the “home of the free and land of the brave.” But illegal immigration is not “Ann Coulter’s issue” any more than it is “Tom Tancredo’s issue.” It is America’s issue — not only because it will define America in the 21st Century but because it also defines American elections and who will be voting in elections in 2020 and beyond. It also illuminates the power of the mainstream media to keep issues off the national stage. Think of illegal immigration this way: If the liberal media can keep illegal alien crime out of the “kitchen table debate,” they can keep any issue out of the debate. And they will if they can get away with it. For those reasons, illegal immigration is much more than an issue of public policy; it is the poster child for media malpractice. The media’s attempt to suppress public awareness over illegal alien crime and the effects of illegal immigration on American workers’ jobs and wages is nothing less than censorship on a massive scale. We need to start talking about it in those terms and hold the media accountable for the lack of ethical standards. The mainstream media – including, sadly, major segments of the presumably conservative media, like the Wall Street Journal — are working overtime to keep the American public and the American voters in the dark on the scope of illegal alien crime. The murder of Kate Steinle in San Francisco exposed only the tip of a massive iceberg, and the media establishment is desperate to avoid dealing with the iceberg underneath. Let’s look at a few numbers. You haven’t seen them in the New York Times, Atlanta Constitution, or the Miami Herald, nor have they been featured on NBC Nightly news or CNN. So, the average American is blissfully unaware of them. Between 2008 and 2014, 40% of all murder convictions in Florida were criminal aliens. In New York it was 34% and Arizona 17.8%. During those years, criminal aliens accounted for 38% of all murder convictions in the five states of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and New York, while illegal aliens constitute only 5.6% of the total population in those states. That 38% represents 7,085 murders out of the total of 18,643. That 5.6% figure for the average illegal alien population in those five states comes from US Census estimates. We know the real number is double that official estimate. Yet, even if it is 11%, it is still shameful that the percentage of murders by criminal aliens is more than triple the illegal population in those states." From www.cleveland.com (http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2015/07/illegal_immigrant_accused.html): "The father of the undocumented immigrant accused of a murder and attempted rape in Lake County filed for U.S. citizenship for his son more than a decade ago, according to a Hispanic advocacy group.

SOTG 220 – Selling Lies; Hollywood aid Progressive Politicians with their Propaganda | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:17

Realizing that the U.S. Congress is polling very low in the “trustworthy” category, unlikeable Senator Chuckie Schumer has enlisted the aid of his more popular and younger cousin Amy. Yes, another paid pretender takes to the microphone to read from a script to encourage the great unwashed to support more restrictions on liberty. Keeping with our Hollywood pretender theme, we take a look back at the “Demand a Plan” video and consider how many of the pretenders who demanded a plan to end “gun violence” have themselves made a great deal of money promoting that very thing. Also, during our SWAT Fuel Fitness talk Jarrad discusses personalizing your workout routine. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., as he unveils new legislation to combat gun violence. The proposed legislation, which the two presented at a news conference Monday, would reward states that submit information to the background-check system and penalize states that don't comply. During a July screening of Amy Schumer's film "Trainwreck" at a movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana, John Houser shot 11 people, killing two women before eventually turning the gun on himself. He legally purchased the gun he used at a pawn shop. The new push for gun control in Congress also comes after the FBI reported that a breakdown in the system made it possible for Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof to purchase a gun. "These shootings have got to stop. I don't know how else to say it," Amy Schumer said at the press conference Monday, who refused to say the name of the gunman during her remarks. After the shooting in Lafayette, gun-control advocate Sarah Clements called on the actress to take a stand on the issue in an open letter, writing, "We need your voice in this movement." "Your movie  ...  will now forever have this shooting attached to it. You've been caught in the middle of our country's terrifying, unending war with itself, our sick and twisted relationship with the gun lobby, which tells us we need guns for anyone, anywhere, anytime. ... Join our movement." Schumer tweeted that she thinks every day about Mayci Breaux and Jillian Johnson, the two women killed in the shooting, writing: "Don't worry I'm on it. You'll see." From www.theblaze.com (http://www.theblaze.com/contributions/hollywood-and-progressive-politicians-unite-to-spread-anti-gun-propaganda/): "Despite the demonstrable and abject failure of 50 plus years of gun control in the United States of America, like the clinically insane, progressive politicians attempt to repeat the same actions hoping for different results. Consider if you will Chicago and Cook County, Illinois. The strictest gun control in the U.S., save perhaps Washington ,D.C., and the murder rate exceeds that of nations at war. Consider any holiday weekend in Chicago. After record-breaking bloodshed, progressive politicians and their minions scream for more “reasonable gun control.” Apparently the hundreds of laws in place cannot stop thugs and vermin from killing, but one more law will. Consider the glittering jewel of gun control that is the modern United Kingdom. American liberals hold England as the model by which we should mold U.S. gun policy. What they neglect to tell you is that disarmed British subjects are 10 times more likely to be victims of home invasion (not burglary, invasion of an occupied home) than are people in the United States.

SOTG 219 – Fast and Furious Gun Found at Texas Terror Attack Scene | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:01

More evidence mounting that at least one of the guns used by the now dead Jihadists in Garland, Texas was funneled through a gun store in Phoenix that participated in the embarrassing and insidious “Fast and Furious” program. Do not forget what we learned about ATF corruption and ineptness from Mike Detty in his book “Operation Wide Receiver.” We have an update from Allen West Republic. It seems that after thousands upon thousands of outraged Americans demanded to know what was going on, the Department of the Navy finally got around to issuing a statement on Sunday regarding the Lt. Commander who used a personally owned gun to fight back against the Muslim Terrorist in Chattanooga. From www.breitbart.com (http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2015/08/01/garland-terrorist-allegedly-purchased-handgun-from-fast-and-furious-connected-gun-store/): "One of the terrorists involved in the attack on the Mohammad Art Exhibit and Contest in Garland, Texas, was allegedly allowed to purchase a 9mm handgun from a gun store that is connected to the infamous Fast and Furious gun program run by the Obama Administration in 2010. The pistol was reported to have been purchased at Lone Wolf Trading Co. located in Phoenix. Lone Wolf was known at the time by gun smugglers to be a store that would sell firearms illegally, according to a report by Richard Serrano with the Chicago Tribune. Nadir Soofi, one of the two terrorists killed during the attack in Garland, had a history of misdemeanor drug and assault charges, the Tribune reported. That could have made him ineligible to legally purchase a gun. While in the Lone Wolf store, Soofi allegedly fudged some facts on the federal firearms form required for gun purchases in a licensed gun store. Unknown to Soofi, Lone Wolf was in the middle of a federal sting operation knows as Fast and Furious.
