He tells about the ruthless bunch that are out to get the same prize of uranium. It's a story of bleak, and dark hearted souls who will stop at nothing to get what they want. Their former nemesis has some explaining to do before the crew can trust his story about his change of heart in stowing away, and joining them. Though the tale is full of lies, uncle Jim wants to milk the truth of what Blackbeard knows out of him before putting him off the ship.

We learn she is disturbed over mysterious letters that seem to have come from her dead husband. Howard leaves her alone in her box to enjoy the play. Is there any real concern over ghosts and what they may do? When Margret is found dead, it seems that her life was real. How did she die? Who was yhe last one around her? Who had reason to kill her? A house detective soon unravels the mystery, and reveals the real nature behind the supernatural guise of ghosts.

As Fibber tries to do his part to conserve oil for the war effort, he only runs into interruptions. First his tools are missing, then the Old Timer visits to marvel at the switch back to coal. Billty Mills plays a jazzy number to move the show along. More distractions move in when Fibber becomes engrossed in a crossword puzzle. Abigail Uppington pops in to tell about her dog, FeeFee, and the dog show. Now he needs more tools, but his run to the hardware store has to wait until after Harlowe Wilcox pitvches the conservation properties of the sponsor product. Molly steps out, and Teeny arrives to ask the endless question... why? Will Fibber be able to explain what conservation is all about? Will she at least understand what a pun is? The Kingsmen sing, I Got a Touch of Texas. After Fibber's return, armed with coveralls, and tools for the job, Wallace Wimple enters. He's looking in the pink today, but it's not as healthy for him as the McGee's think, when it turns out it involves his big old wife, Sweetie Face. Mayor Latrivia visits , and gets the McGees confused over the happenings with his political house guests. What were those politicians doing, getting together secretly, and talking in 3 different languages. I think its time for a blustery slow burn. Will Fibber ever get his furnace converted? Ask Molly about what she did during Fibbers absence to the store. Note: During the Old Timer's visit we learn that St Louis just won the World Series. Also, Fibber confirms a Yankee ,loss when he returns from the hardware store.

Rowing their boat to the Spindrift under cover of fog, Jack and Billy make their last trip before setting sail. On the ship, Betty is terrified over hearing footsteps. Is there a stowaway? Her fear is real, but after Jack and Billy make a complete search it calms her a bit. The listener is reminded through the conversations that there are gangs who are just as intent on getting to the sunken ship with the cargo of uranium. It will be a much needed ingredient in new, and marvelous inventions for mankind. With most of the story thus far recounted, Jack and Billy show off some of their high tech equipment. Our heros certainly have some nifty inventions to help them on their mission. Finally uncle Jim arrives, and the Spindrift is setting sail. On leaving the bay, footsteps are heard once more. Stay tuned to the next installment to find out who it could be.

Working with a newspaperman, Barry Craig is given his choice of two cases to investigate. He begins gathering facts about a missing manuscript. The rare book carries a high price tag when a film company is interested in it. So far, all it gets Barry is a thump on the head. Later, on the street, a clue is delivered to Barry in a fancy car. Who is the man with the tattoo of a British flag? In his search, Barry manages to find a blonde dame instead. Will he find answers to why there was only one copy of this important manuscript? Why does an American have a British tattoo? Out of the blue, the thief phones the publisher to say he wants to return the manuscript for a reward of $1000. All Barry needs to do is retrieve it. Of course, the murder enters the scene and the manuscript is stolen again. What can be so important about this manuscript that's found, lost, and found again? Barry uncovers the secret and hands the matter over to the cops.

After 15 years in the same house, Jack wants to sell it. He has a potential buyer, and he needs to make a good impression. I hope he doesn't over do it. Both haven't been seen much since the year Jack had his house built in his Jello days. Dennis Day arrives to sing a romantic Italian melody. To spruce up the place, Jack has a trouble making plumber on hand. Bob joins the gang, but the band can't make the rehearsal. Mary defends the band from the jokes that Jack tells about them. Don arrives with a few jokes, and the Sportsmen who sing that sponsor flavored song, and one that's specially customized to sell Jack's house too. Before Jack takes the gang to the golf course, the buyer Mr Borden phones to prepare to close the deal. On the driving range Mary and Bob do well enough… despite coaching by Jack. What about Jack? After a quick word from golf pro, Frank Nelson, Jacks only solid hit may end him up in disaster with the deal with his house. '

Britt rides into a town that is in a state of decline. He learns that the railroad is pulling its contract to route the line to a nearby town. The hold up in letting the railroad through is Silver Annie. The old gal owns a depleted silver mine and refuses to let it go or believe it is played out. The town gets the idea to force her hand by declaring her insane. The people take her to court to prover insanity and take her land. Britt has compassion on her, and using ore samples, proves there is still silver to be mined. The railroad goes to the other town, but folks don't care since silver is back. Little do they realize that Britt has played a little trick on them, or did he?

What queer figures are in the ring's engravings! There's also a secret message to go along with it. What secrets might the ring hold?

The girls in Judy's sororirty are ready to go on strike. Will it help them get equal access to jobs, like the boys have? More importantly, will it help them get more dates? Marching to respond to a help wanted sign, the girls are tested on their ability to deliver singing telegrams. Judy fills the bill,and is drafted into service. At home, Judy tells the family about the strike in not talking to men, and her new job. For some reason, Randolph doesn't count and gets the job of being mediator. As part of her job, Judy delivers a message to a stag party at the athletic club, but isn't allowed inside. Might this be the same club that father wento last night? It looks like mother will be joining Judy on her strike to not speak to men. With Judy at home most nights, and not dating, Randolph approaches Gerald. They conspire to make Judy deliver a singing telegram. Will it work to end the ban on speaking to men? She knows it isn't really Gerald's birthday, bvut as long as he gets messenges, she is forced to sing tohim. How long will this go on before something breaks? Will Judy get a date? Will her girlfriends feel betrayed? Mix ups are revealed, and Judy learns the telegram she delivered to the athletic club went to the wrong place. Has she failed at her job? At least it puts mother on speaking terms with father again. Will it also patch things up with Gerald?

The Spindrift is still anchored at San Fransisco as it is prepared for it's journey to the Salu Sea. Every bit of storage space and more will be needed for the expected trip. Betty arrives, and she is filled in from Jack and Billy about the mystery man who visited. About how the man had a fettish at their hands, and the fake package he stole from uncle Jim. It's a sample of the crafty opposition they are up against. As Betty continues her tour of the deck, she learns nautical termonology about the ship and equipment. Uncle Jim arrives with news about the real package, and a token that is important for the mission.

On the way to the telegraph office, Chester and Matt talk about what appears to be Doc's new girlfriend. She's a gal from Doc's past in St Louis, and has come to town, for now to be a nurse for him. Wil she be staying, or moving on? Meanwhile, one of Matt's telegrams is a warning of a killer who was just released from prison, and heading towards Dodge City to settle a score with Matt. The man hits town, but there's something odd happening. Matt finds out two things, the man is sick and under Doc's care, and he is to be extradighted back to Arizona for breaking his parole. What should Matt do? More plot twists develop so Matt plays it quiet and does nothing for as long as he can. What are the plot twists? Just listen and discover them on your own. The man appears to be leaving town, but what about his intentions to get revenge on Matt? Matt tracks him down, there's a shootout, but what's the real story? The story holds secrets and plot twists to the end.

Jack and Billy carefully board the Spindrift where a mysterious man is on board. Desperate men are also in search of the uranium needed for their experiments. The two teens aren't very stealthy as they encounter the soft spoken, overly polite oriental man. What business does the intruder have on the Spindrift? The mystery man seems to know a lot about the boys, and uncle Jim. He offers a lame excuse about wanting to buy the boat, after he puts on some Ju Jitsu moves. Still, the creepy man leaves only once uncle Jim arrives, and takes a package that Jim has just brought to the ship. . What is behind the fettish the man shows towards the hands of the guys? What is the package that was taken?
