Season 7, Episode 78 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Monday show, David Todd and I have no choice but to spend most of the hour recapping Super Bowl LI. As you can imagine, we have a lot to recap thanks to the New England Patriots record comeback against the Atlanta Falcons. David and I talk about what both teams did right and wrong throughout the game as well as the few turning points in the second half. We go over a few stats from the game and talk about just how prepared the Patriots always seem to be. Late in the show, David and I discuss whether or not the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to learn anything new about the Patriots during the Super Bowl and who we would have liked to have had watched the game with when it comes to the coaching staff. We highlight the play of Falcons cornerback C.J. Goodwin Sunday night being as he was with the Steelers previously. Our discussion about the game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons includes us both throwing around some unique stats in around in addition to a few scenarios that could take place on Sunday in Houston. David offers up a scenario that includes Julio Jones and Antonio Brown that we both discuss that might interest a few of you. In the second half of this show we talk about Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell being as he recently announced that he might have to undergo offseason groin surgery. Should the Steelers be a little more careful with Bell moving forward as it relates to his total touches? We discuss that topic for a little while. The Hall of Fame Class of 2017 will be announced on Saturday so David and I go through each of the finalists and tell you whether or not we think each will get in this year. David and I go over all the big talking points from Rooney and that includes us discussing the futures of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell. Rooney had quite a bit to say about tight end Ladarius Green over the course of the last two days so we recap those comments and give our thoughts on the player’s future with the team. We move on to talk about several draft-related comments that Rooney made on Tuesday as it relates to the team likely to select a quarterback this year and the team also needing to improve their pass rush. After fully recapping what Rooney had to see, David and I get into to discussing other Steelers draft needs and that results in us sort of ranking them overall. The Steelers re-signed long snapper Greg Warren and running back Fitzgerald Toussaint over the course of the last two days so we quickly recap those moves and talk about wide receiver Sammie Coates undergoing finger surgery recently. Season 7, Episode 72 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Wednesday show, David Todd and I get right to talking about what Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had to say Tuesday morning during his radio show as it relates to him saying he isn’t quite sure right now if he’ll play in 2017. David and I examine Roethlisberger’s comments and if him being mad at any of the coaches or other players on the roster were the reason for them. We both agree that Roethlisberger isn’t going to retire and that he’s just frustrated right now about something. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his end-of-the-season press conference on Tuesday and gave us quite a bit to talk about as well. We discuss Tomlin leaving it open to some coaching changes during the offseason and who may or may not return in 2017. There’s been a lot written and said about Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown over the course of the last several weeks so we dive into his attituded and upcoming contract situation. We jump on both sides of the fence while discussing Brown and that includes examining whether or not the Steelers would even fathom trading him in lieu of signing him to an extension. Tomlin discussed the situation with running back Le’Veon Bell on Tuesday as it relates to how he has been listed on the Steelers injury report so we spend a few minutes discussing that. We move on to give you some more of our thoughts on the play of the Steelers defense in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots and that includes us talking about them having to defend against four wide receiver personnel groupings. David and I end this Wednesday show by trying to predict the future of several of the Steelers players who are about to become unrestricted free agents in March.
