Season 7, Episode 101 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Monday show, Alex Kozora sits in again for David Todd and I we kick things off by talking about the recent airport incident that Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Senquez Golson had and if it’s a big deal in the grand scheme of things. We also cover the latest news concerning Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant during the opening segment. It looked like Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya was in Pittsburgh on Saturday so Alex and I discuss if it resulted in a weekend pre-draft visit that has yet to be reported. On top of that, we discuss the chances of Kaaya or Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs potentially being selected by the Steelers in the third round of the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft. Alex recently wrote about hybrid safeties so we discuss that post in addition to the candidates who could wind up being drafted who would potentially fit that role in the Steelers defense. Now that nearly all the pre-draft visits have been conducted, Alex and I go over a lot of the potential Steelers first-round candidates as well as a few who might still be on the board when they pick in the second round. We also discuss edge rushing force players that Justis Mosqueda recently ranked in his latest post. Would the Steelers consider trading down in the second round? Alex throws out an idea related to that possibly happening. The Steelers had one pre-draft visitor on Monday so we recap that player for you to close out this Monday show. After finishing our thoughts on the passing of Rooney, David and I turn our attention to the Steelers pre-draft visitors and included in that is us discussing past years’ visitors and the role they played in ultimate selections. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger announced on Friday that he will indeed be back for 2017 season and while we aren’t surprised with his decision, we dedicate a few minutes to discussing it nonetheless. The Washington redskins signed linebacker Zach Brown to a one-year contract recently so David and I discuss if the Steelers missed out on him. Will former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo do well as an NFL game analysts for CBS Sports? David and I discuss that topic for a little bit along with a few other minor NFL nuggets. We use the second half of this show to discuss several players in this year’s draft class by position and where they might ultimately wind up being selection.
