Alex and I go through each and every one of the Steelers eight selections this year and that includes what we know about each player and how each potentially fits with the team. We discuss several of the comments made by general manager Kevin Colbert as well as the position coaches following all of this year's selections. Alex and I even discuss the Steelers decision to draft a long snapper in the sixth-round. Are there a few players currently on the Steelers roster who are especially happy with the direction that this year's draft played out? We discuss a few. We discuss his future moving forward and whether or not the team will still draft a wide receiver this year based on the recent news. Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert and head coach Mike Tomlin held their annual pre-draft press conference on Monday so David and I go over several things they had to say that we deemed relevant. Will the Steelers trade out of the first-round Thursday night? We discuss that possibility. The Steelers picked up the fifth-year option on linebacker Ryan Shazier this week so we discuss that news as well. ESPN recently had a few layoffs so David and I address that topic a little bit before discussing two first-round draft prospects who were in the news this past week. After finishing up with Alex’s mock, we are on to the main course as we are pleased to be joined on the show once again by draft analyst Dave-Te’ Thomas, who is perhaps our most-requested guest on the show and especially at this time of the year. If you’ve heard Thomas preview drafts in the past, you should know what to expect. If, however, this is your first time hearing him, fasten your seatbelt as he really goes rapid-fire. Alex and I pepper Dave-Te’ with several questions related to several different players throughout this interview and we talk specifically about several the Steelers have shown interest in over the course of the last few months.
