We talk about the Steelers 3-0 start and the possibility now of the team starting 4-0, which if it were to happen, would be the first time since 1979.Alex and I spend the first part of this Monday podcast breaking down the Steelers offensive play on Sunday against the Texans. We talk scheme, personnel, play calling and much more. We go over the few things we didn’t like and the things we loved about the offense on Sunday.We move on to give the Steelers defense a thorough breakdown based on that unit’s play on Sunday. We highlight the good and the bad as well as what we think we saw correction wise in the second half that led to the unit pitching a shutout the final 30 minutes of play.We end our breakdown of the Sunday game against the Texans by talking a little bit about special teams play and snap count totals.Will the Steelers be able to start having fans at Heinz Field in the month of October? 9/25/2020Season 11, Episode 21 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Friday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers and that includes recapping the latest transactions as well as the team’s Thursday injury report.Steelers coordinators Keith Butler and Randy Fichtner both talked to the media on Thursday and Alex and I recap all that they had to say that was noteworthy. We once again discuss the Sunday touchdown scored by Denver Broncos tight end Noah Fant in light of the new information that Butler provided. We also discuss whether or not fullback Derek Watt will see more playing time on offense on Sunday against the Houston Texans.The Steelers will host the Texans on Sunday at Heinz Field so Alex and I preview that game. We look at both sides of the ball for both teams and the key matchups and schemes we expect to see. 9/23/2020Season 11, Episode 20 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Wednesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers. We go over the latest transactions and more to start the show and get into what all head coach Mike Tomlin had to say on Tuesday during his weekly press conference.The Steelers first injury report of Week 3 will be out later on Wednesday so Alex and I discuss what it might look like based on what all Tomlin said on Tuesday.After going over the all-22 tape from the Steelers week 2 win against the Denver Broncos, Alex and I recap some of the things that really stuck out. We talk offense, defense, and special teams. We really focus in on the play of the right side of the Steelers offensive line on Sunday and spend extra time reviewing what happened on the Broncos touchdown that was scored by Noah Fant in the second half.After breaking down the tape from the Steelers Week 2 game, Alex and I finally move on to Week 3 and begin to focus on the team’s Sunday home game against the Houston Texans. To do that, we are joined once again by Drew Dougherty, who covers the Texans for the team’s official website. 9/21/2020Season 11, Episode 19 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Monday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday home win against the Denver Broncos.Alex and I first discuss the Steelers pregame news and that includes us reviewing the team’s Week 2 inactive list. We also discuss the one practice squad move that was made by the team on Saturday. We then go over the health of the Steelers entering Week 3.A far as the Steelers Sunday game goes, Alex and I start by giving our overarching thoughts on the contest and how it was much closer than we expected it to be. We then move forward and do extensive breakdowns of the Steelers defensive and offensive play on Sunday in addition to recapping what all transpired on special teams.Alex and I go over a few key penalties and turnovers from Sunday’s game as well as the touchdowns. 9/7/2020Season 11, Episode 13 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Monday show, which was recorded late Sunday night, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the roster cuts that were made on Saturday and the initial 53-man roster that was set.The first portion of this podcast Alex and I talk quite a bit about wide receiver Ryan Switzer and defensive tackle Daniel McCullers both being cut on Saturday.Alex and I talk about the few players that surprisingly made the initial 53-man roster and then get into talking about the team adding two former players, quarterback Joshua Dobbs and safety Sean Davis, to the team on Sunday. We also discuss the know practice squad members to date.Alex and I tie up a lot of other Steelers news that happened since Friday and that includes up discussing the guard David DeCastro having his contract restructured. That includes us recapping quotes from Art Rooney II, Kevin Colbert, Mike Tomlin, Eric Ebron, T.J. Watt, Ben Roethlisberger, Minkah Fitzpatrick and several others.The Steelers must trim their roster down to 53 active players on Saturday so Alex and I take our final stabs at what that will look like as well as te 16-man practice squad.As promised, we plan on previewing the three other AFC North teams ahead of the 2020 regular season starting and we started that process on Friday by having John Eisenberg on the show.
