1/13/2021Season 11, Episode 69 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Wednesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers.On the heels of the Wednesday morning rumor/report concerning Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert potentially being hired away by the Detroit Lions, Alex and I go over how that tidbit has now been debunked on several levels and how we expect him to remain with the team at least through the 2021 NFL Draft and perhaps even longer.Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his end-of-the-season press conference on Wednesday, so Alex and I go over all the main talking points to come out of it. We discuss what all Tomlin had to say about potential coaching staff changes, the health of the team, the future of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and much, much more. The Tomlin presser recap segment is quite long and for obvious reasons and it produces several side discussions between Alex and me.Alex and talk a little bit about what the 2021 Steelers might look like and some of the immediate challenges the team faces this offseason. We go over what coaching staff changes might take place and why and why not both coordinators might not be retained. What’s the right way for the Steelers to handle Roethlisberger this offseason> Alex and I give our opinions on that topic.Will the Steelers be able to retain defensive tackle Tyson Alualu this offseason? Alex and I explore one option the Steelers might explore when it comes to them doing just that.Alex recently broke down one predictable offensive play from the Steelers that took place Sunday night in the loss to the Cleveland Browns, so we discuss that topic briefly.We wrap up several loose ends late in this Wednesday show and then turn our attention to several questions we received from listeners of the show since the Monday.

1/11/2021Season 11, Episode 68 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night playoff game debacle against the Cleveland Browns.Alex and I get into a huge overview of the Steelers Super Wild Card game loss Sunday night to the Browns. We also compare the loss to the 2017-2018 playoff loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars an attempt to understand how something like those two games could happen.Alex and I play the blame game and that includes us talking about the Steelers coaches and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.We talk about the possibility of Roethlisberger being back in 2021 and if the coordinators will be back as well. We also discuss the Steelers 2021 chances of having a Super Bowl-contending team from this far out.While we do not go deep into breaking down the Steelers Sunday night game, we do discuss the overall flow of it and several plays and decisions that happened during it. We also discuss the play of several individual players Sunday night in the loss to the Browns.The Steelers have a lot of offseason decisions to make and that includes deciding which of their free agents to bring back if possible. Alex and I go over the Steelers long list of unrestricted free agents and our early thoughts on if we think each will be back in 2021.We wrap up several loose ends late in this Monday show and then turn our attention to several questions we received from listeners of the show since the Sunday game ended.

1/8/2021Season 11, Episode 67 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers latest injury report ahead of their Sunday night Super Wild Card game against the Cleveland Browns.Alex and I go over the Steelers recent transactions and we both think the team’s Sunday night inactive list is likely to look like. We also recap the COVID issues the Browns have had this week and the impact those are likely to have on them Sunday night against the Steelers.All three of the Steelers coordinators talked to the media on Thursday so Alex and I recap the main talking pints from the comments made by Randy Fichtner, Keith Butler and Danny Smith.Pro Football Focus recently took an early stab at predicting the landing spots and contract values of the soon-to-be 2021 unrestricted free agents that comprise their top 100 so Alex and I discuss the Steelers players they have in that article.The Steelers will play the Browns Sunday night, so Alex and I are pleased to be joined once again by Scot Petrak, who covers the Cleveland team for The Chronicle-Telegram and Medina Gazette. We get Scott’s thoughts on everything related to the Browns and what all has happened with the team this past week. We talk offense, defense and more. This means we talk quite a bit about the sixth time possibly being the charm for guard Alan Faneca. We also revisit the chances of former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward ever getting into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.Will the Steelers lose salary cap guru Omar Khan this offseason to another team? We talk about one team recently interviewing Khan for their open general manager position and more. We also talk a little bit about the Steelers 2021 salary cap situation now that the 2020 regular season has come to an end.The Cleveland Browns are going through a minor COVID outbreak to start this week so Alex and I bring everyone up to speed on their situation and go over the key people they will be without on Sunday against the Steelers.Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media on Tuesday, so we go over everything that he had to say that is pertinent. We talk about the health of the team starting the wild Card week and if inside linebacker Robert Spillane and guard Matt Feiler will both wind up suiting up on Sunday versus the Browns. 1/4/2021Season 11, Episode 65 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday road loss to the Cleveland Browns that now sets up a Wildcard round rematch between the two teams Sunday night at Heinz Field.Alex and I go through the pregame and postgame news to start with and that includes recapping the team’s current COVID situation heading into the first week of the playoffs.There’s a lot to talk about coming out of Sundays loss, which was sort of a moral victory for the Steelers. We go over what we mean by that and then start diving into the play of the offense, defense, and special teams against the Browns in Cleveland.We spend a lot of time breaking down the play of quarterback Mason Rudolph on Sunday. We also talk about the running game and more. We talk about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger finally having success pushing the football down the field and go over the many problems the unit had in the first half.
