We also discuss the likelihood of the Steelers drafting a quarterback early this year even if Roethlisberger does return.Alex and I then discuss two of the higher rated quarterbacks in this year’s draft, Kyle Trask and Mac Jones, We also talk about the need for quarterback game experience at the college level as it relates to success probability at the NFL level.Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians had a juicy comment about the Steelers this week, so Alex and I cover that topic briefly in this show.Alex and then spend time talking about recent major media articles that revolve around best fits for some of the Steelers soon-to-be unrestricted free agents. 2/8/2021Season 11, Episode 80 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Monday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to recapping Super Bowl LV and if there is anything we can take away from it when it comes to the outlook for the 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers. We also talk about some key stats from the 2020 season as well.The 2021 Hall of Fame class was announced over the weekend, so Alex and I go over that group of individuals and if the selection committee got it right this year. We also go over what Peter King did in his voting and more. With Alan Faneca and Bill Nunn now in the Hall of Fame, is Steelers quarterback Benn Roethlisberger the next member of the organization we can look forward to being placed in Canton? We discuss that topic a while.Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt was beaten out by Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald Saturday night for the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year award so Alex and I obviously spend a little time on that topic in this show.We go over another coaching hire the Steelers made since our last show and parse a few things that new offensive line coach Adrian Klemm had to see in a recent interview this weekend.The New Orleans Saints recently restructured the contract of quarterback Drew Brees so Alex and I spend time breaking down what happened there and how in no way it can be compared to the Steelers and what they’re likely to do with Roethlisberger in the next five weeks.We then wrap up several loose ends late in this Monday show before turning our attention to several questions we received from listeners of the show since Friday.

Alex and I have a long talk about that subject and make our predictions for the 2021 class that will be announced Saturday night.Will T.J. We also talk about to day being the 12th anniversary of the Pittsburgh Steelers last Super Bowl win.Steelers team president art Rooney II recently talked about backup quarterback Mason Rudolph so that results in Alex and I having a long conversation about his future in 2021 and beyond.How will the Steelers get salary cap compliant in the next six weeks? This includes mostly news about Steelers coaching staff and potential hires.Steelers team president Art Rooney II held his annual end-of-the-season press conference on Thursday and as expected, he gave us quite a few taking points to discuss and put into context. We go over them one-by-one.We talk about what Rooney had to say about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his 2021 return to start with. We go over Roethlisberger’s contract situation and what’s likely to happen with it in the next seven weeks based on what all Rooney said on the topic on Thursday.Rooney had quite a few other things to say about the futures of head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert. We talk cap savings, tight end depth chart and what the team should do at that position this offseason.he Steelers signed four players to Reserve/Future contracts on Thursday and that list was headlined by quarterback Dwayne Haskins, the former first-round draft pick of the Washington Football Team. Alex and I discuss everything related to the signing of Haskins in addition to talking about some of his NFL tape to date.
