We also discuss what’s likely to happen during the preseason and beyond as far as games being played and a few ideas related to making rosters bigger to protect against COVID-19 issues. We also discuss Heyward’s Thursday comments on his current contract situation.New York Jets safety Jamal Adams has made it known that he wants to be traded and while he’d look great in a Steelers uniform, Alex and I go over the various reasons why there’s virtually no way he winds up in Pittsburgh.Alex and I discuss Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson quite a bit during the middle portion of this show. We also talk about Steelers players that were voted to the ESPN AFC North All-Decade team. Was wide receiver Antonio Brown the Steelers player of the last decade? 6/16/2020Season 10, Episode 118 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Tuesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about what all Pittsburgh Steelers running ack James Conner had to say on Monday about quarterback James Conner, him being in the final year of his contract and more.New Steelers offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski also recently provided some great quotes worth discussing concerning the impact on the virtual offseason on younger player. We dissect all that he had to say that was worthwhile.The deadline for the Steelers to sign tagged outside linebacker Bud Dupree to a contract extension is now a month away so Alex and I discuss what’s likely to transpire with him from an odds perspective.As Steelers training camp creeps closer, Alex and I continue our position group previews on Tuesday by thoroughly breaking down the running back group. We talk expectations for Conner, Benny Snell Jr. Anthony McFarland Jr., Jaylen Samuels, Kerrith Whyte Jr. and more. Alex and I have a long discussion related to that topic in addition to a few minor topics related to that.Midway through this show, Alex and I are joined once again by Dr. Melanie Friedlander, who has covered and analyzed Steelers injuries and other health-related topics for us on the site for several years now. In this interview, Dr. Mel discusses with us what all she now understands about the elbow surgery that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had, how his rehab has gone, what the expectations should be for him in 2020 and more. 6/9/2020Season 10, Episode 116 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Tuesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 training camp now being set to take place at Heinz Field and what that means. We also talk about social distancing as it relates to football in general and if fans will be able to attend any training camp practices throughout the summer.The Steelers are set to fly the second-least amount air miles in 2020 so Alex and I talk briefly about that topic and go over what transpired the last time the team played the NFC East and AFC South divisions during a regular season.Alex has a new piece on a former Steelers kicker we discuss briefly and the two of us quickly review my latest post on the future of defensive lineman Cameron Heyward regarding his contract status.Now that we are safely in the month of June, Alex and I begin are annual position group previews and breakdowns ahead of training camp getting underway. We kick our annual position group discussions off my talking about the quarterback position. That means will talk quite extensively about Ben Roethlisberger, Mason Rudolph, Devlin Hodges, Paxton Lynch and J.T. That conversation leads to us discussing the probability of Dupree getting an extension in the next six weeks and what it means if he doesn’t.Alex and I then discuss Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler and give him a number grade based on the job he’s done to date.
