We let you know what we already know about new Steelers tight end Dax Raymond and how he fits on the 90-man roster.A few things have been negotiated by the NFL and NFLPA in the last 24 hours regarding the 2020 season so Alex and I attempt to bring everyone up-to-date on those latest developments and what still needs to be hammered out between the two sides. We also talk about now fans likely being in attendance for the Steelers Week 1 opener against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.Former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown seemingly retired once again on Monday so Alex and I discuss that news in addition to talking some about his Hall of Fame credentials and if he’ll ultimately have a bust in Canton, OH down the road.Alex and I discuss the Steelers outside linebacker depth chart top to bottom with training camp about to start. Can T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree combine to hit 30 sacks in 2020? We also move into talking a lot about outside linebacker Bud Dupree not signing an extension before the deadline and what that now likely means for him moving forward into the 2020 season and beyond.On the hills of a few big contracts being signed by defensive players on other teams this week, Alex and I take a look at what those contracts might mean when it comes to new contracts for Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward and outside linebacker T.J. Watt. We look at when and if both players might sign new deals and for how much. We also discuss what NFL insider John Clayton recently said about Watt’s future value.Alex and I move on to update the latest word on the ongoing negotiations between the NFL and the NFLPA and what might be in store next when it comes to the start of training camps and potentially the preseason. Alex and I spend a lot of time breaking down Dupree’s grievance, if he has a case and what we each believe is most likely to be the outcome of it.Several Madden 21 player ratings reportedly leaded on Monday and it included a dozen or so Steelers players. Included in that bunch was outside linebacker T.J. Watt so we discuss that rating snubbing and also him being snubbed in the top 10 EDGE rankings for 2020 that ESPN put out on Monday.Alex recently had posts on Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. and expected turnovers for the defense for 2020 so we spend a little time discussing both. Alex and I discuss that topic and why Maye best fits what the Steelers might ultimately be looking for in a backup safety later this summer.Which Steelers rookie draft pick is most likely to log at least 20 percent of offensive or defensive snaps in 2020? 7/3/2020Season 10, Episode 123 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Friday show, which was recorded late Thursday night, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the 2020 NFL Preseason now being expected to be cut in half. We also discuss the Thursday report that training camp roster are likely to be cut to 80 or fewer players because of the COVID-19 pandemic.Alex and I debate quit a few of things the NFL is still expected to discuss before the start of the preseason. We discuss if the NFL will push back the deadline date for franchise tagged players to be extended and if it would a big deal if that happened.The Steelers now have a little less than two weeks to get outside linebacker Bud Dupree signed to an extension barring the deadline date being pushed back. We discuss his situation in addition to how it might ultimately play a role in what the Steelers do in the first-round of the 2021 NFL Draft if they can’t learn a lot about rookie outside linebacker Alex Highsmith in 2020. What kind of snap totals is the high side for Highsmith to play in 2020? We discuss.The New England Patriots have signed quarterback Cam Newton to a one-year, $7.5 million contract and that has a lot of Steelers fans upset. We discuss the eight players expected to make the 53-man roster in addition to the other offensive linemen under contract potentially battling for practice squad spots. We discuss what else the NFL has announced this week and their advertising plans and revenue possibilities.Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had a lot to say on Tuesday during his Zoom media session so Alex and I go through the primary talking points from that one-by-one. We spent a lot of time talking about the left guard and nose tackle spots based on what Tomlin said on Tuesday. Will defensive tackle Daniel McCullers make the roster this year?The Steelers have yet to sign any of their 20290 draft picks to date so Alex and I talk a little about that topic.
