Foyled Again! The Chelsea Football FanCast #241 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge is joined by Sami, Yousif and Fonz from ‘Carefree in the UAE’ as the Chelsea FanCast broadcasts live from Dubai this week to report back on the FA Cup semi-final. A disappointing, rare and very frustrating exit from the FA Cup against Man City, but who was to blame? Was it Benitez’s cautious and negative approach which meant we took 60 minutes to get in the game or was it Chris Foy, surely one of the most incompetent referees we’ve ever seen? Stamford Chidge is in Dubai working for a few days and is joined by the boys from ‘Carefree in the UAE’ in Loca Bar to discuss the FA Cup semi-final against Man City and the Rubin Kazan match and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We also have a chat about ‘Carefree in the UAE’ and what it is like supporting Chelsea when you live in Dubai. We’ll also have news of our end of season party later in the show so stay tuned! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast (http://www.mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast) on your computer or IPhone by downloading the mixlr App, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast (http://www.twitter.com/ChelseaFancast).  The Mask Of Zorres! The Chelsea Football FanCast #240 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The Boys (and Girl!) are back! After an attack of Fat Spanish Flu, Stamford Chidge returns to discuss Chelsea v Sunderland and Rubin Kazan, The Fannies and asks is Torres really the man behind the mask? We have had a fairly good week with wins against Utd meaning a return to Wembley, a sound defeat of Rubin Kazan which gives us one foot in the Europa Cup semi-final and a grim win against Benito Di Canio’s Black Shorts to put us third in the league with a game in hand against Spurs. But as we all know it could all go as pear shaped as Rafa Benitez belly, so let’s not count our chickens quite yet! On this week’s show we discuss the matches against Sunderland and Rubin Kazan and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments, and to wrap we take your questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” – on be anything – football or non-football – we just don’t care! We’ll also have news of our end of season party later in the show so stay tuned! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone if you download the mixlr app, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  Super Frankie coins it in! The Chelsea Football FanCast #239 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge is joined by Ross, Lauren, Sam and FamousCFC.com’s Kris plus the ‘Benches’ to discuss the West Ham and Steua games. What a great week it was for Chelsea! It seems ages since we were last able to say that doesn’t it!! Successfully dispatching a tough Steua Bucharest side in the Europa coop with Captain Leader Legend JT leading the way with a goal, and Fernando Torres scoring an important goal – wonders will never cease, and then on Sunday, giving the Happy Hammers a slap in a 2-0 battering, Super Frankie Lampards 200th goal and Eden Hazard playing like the best player in the world. Happy days are here again! On the show we discuss the matches against Steua and West Ham and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We also have a look back at the Youth teams Next Gen match against Juventus at Griffin Park before the West Ham match on Sunday and to wrap up we answer your questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get!” Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday at 19.00 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or download the app and listen on your IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  It’s the hope that kills you! The Chelsea Football FanCast #238 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew discuss the Man Utd and Steua Bucharest games, together with a report on the Youth team’s win against Derby in the Cup. All this plus the Fannies, If You Don’t Ask and Skype calls and the usual chaos! Glorious unpredictability would sum the last week up adequately or from the ridiculous to the sublime. Probably the worst 135 minutes of football this season followed by arguably the best 45 mins in the second half against Man U yesterday. Of course the media and people who don’t know much about football would put the superb turnaround against Utd down to the tactical genius of Rafa Benitez. Wrong! We might wonder why he didn’t start with Hazard and Mikel, and John Terry for that matter. Football is simple really – just pick your best team, and only change it when you absolutely have to. We ask how Chelsea can be so Jeckyll and Hyde in the show, as well as discussing the matches against Steua and Utd and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We also be have a look back at the Youth team’s match against Derby last Friday, and to wrap up we answer your questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” – on anything – football or non-football – we just don’t care! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday at 19.00 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast. We can also give you a call on Skype so send us a request on Skype Chelsea.Fancast and we’ll give you a call during the show! You can also email us at chelseafancast@gmail.com during the week.  We're Not Interim! The Chelsea Football FanCast #237 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the Chelsea FanCast crew are joined by Chelsea authors Kelvin Barker and Mark Worrall to discuss the wins against Middlesbrough and West Brom, and the fallout from Rafa’s ‘rant’. What a week, Rafa’s outburst, a media frenzy and on top of all that ChelTel’s last ever game! In between all that Chelsea are through to a meeting with Man Utd in the quarter final of the FA Cup, and squeaked a 1-0 win against West Brom when they could and should have battered them! But of far more importance, Rafa finally stuck it to the fans to show his true colours like we all knew he would. The inevitable conclusion being that whilst the Red Agent is most definitely interim, we the supporters are here for life and are most definitely not in-ter-him. We are joined by Gate 17’s Mark Worrall and Kelvin Barker, well respected Chelsea authors having published literary classics such as One Man Went to Mow, Over Land and Sea, Blue Murder, Chelsea Here Chelsea There and Celery Representing Chelsea in the ‘80’s. They are also regular contributors to the legendary cfcuk fanzine and discuss the electronic release of Kelvin’s seminal Chelsea book. We also discuss the matches against Boro and West Brom and the fallout from Rafa’s attack on the supporters and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. To wrap up we have a special edition of “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” where those listening to the show live can ask questions to Mark and Kelvin. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday at 19.00 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone (just download the mixlr app) , and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  Number One Is ChelTel! The Chelsea Football FanCast #236 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew convene to discuss the last gasp win against Sparta Prague and the loss to Man City - as miserable as a wet Manc weekend! It is also ChelTel's last ever FanCast so we reminisce and relive some ChelTel funniest moments. Welcome to the surreal world that is Chelsea under Rafa Benitez. We win against a poor side with the last kick of the game in a coop we don’t need or want, and then we surrender meekly in a league game that had we won would have improved our chances of finishing high enough to compete in the competition which really matters. And that’s before you even think about our very own false number 9 – Fernando Torres. All of this while we should have been at Wembley playing a third division side for the League Coop. You couldn’t make it up could you? We’ll annoyingly we have to talk about last week’s football on the show, but we promise to keep it brief as we have more important matters to address. That’s right, it is ChelTel’s last ever Chelsea FanCast. We discuss the matches against Sparta Prague and Man City and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We’ve also got Lauren’s loan report, and to wrap up we dedicate the rest of the show to our mate ChelTel and relive some his best stories and moments on the show he has graced so well over the last four years. So a slightly different “If you don’t ask you don’t get” where ChelTel answers your questions. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 19.00 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  Prague and Prejudice! The Chelsea Football FanCast #235 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In ChelTel’s penultimate show, Stamford Chidge & the crew are joined by twitter's @ChelseaChadder to discuss the games against Sparta Prague and Brentford plus the usual lunacy, the 'Fannies' and 'If you don't ask...!' As always a fun packed week for the True Blue Massive as they enjoyed one of life’s great away trips in Prague, followed up by a sunny lunchtime Sunday win in the FA Cup 4th round against a swarm of Bees! The football was still a bit dodgy against two inferior sides, but hey, it seems churlish to complain when we’re winning! All this plus Luiz trying to commit murder…apparently…God like status for 199 goal Super Frankie Lampard…JT and Rafa having a row…or not, and both Roman and Average Grant spotted in the Stamford Bridge crowd…what if anything can we read in to that! On the show we discuss the matches against Sparta Prague and Brentford and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We’ve also got Lauren’s loan report, and to wrap up we have another edition of “If you don’t ask, you don’t get”, where the listeners get to ask the panel a question about life, football…anything! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 19.00 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  A Question of Trust! The Chelsea Football FanCast #234 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew discuss Chelsea's 4-1 win against Wigan, Frank Lampard getting nearer to the all-time scoring record, and the launch of the Chelsea Supporters Trust! A strange old game against Wigan on Saturday – as Wigan scored minutes after we went 2-0 up, many of us really thought Chelsea would screw up again. Thankfully Frank and Marin’s debut goal put us and the game to rest. But, have we lost our trust in the team to deliver? And with the atmosphere more like a funeral than a football match have many of the supporters lost trust in the club to the extent they can’t be bothered to support the team or are they just bored and disengaged? After the game 400 Chelsea supporters showed more passion than 40,000 in the ground by trying to get in to the Launch Meeting of the Chelsea Supporters Trust to see how they can get their voice heard. There is clearly a depth of feeling among the supporters and a clear need for the Chelsea Supporters Trust to make their voice heard. It really is a question of trust…on all sides. We’ll be discussing the match against Wigan and have a look back at the many Chelsea players on display in the England v Brazil match. We’ll also be talking about Frank Lampard, Frank Lebouef, and a very frank Chelsea Supporters Trust meeting! As well as all that, we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. And to wrap up another edition of “If you don’t ask you don’t get” where the live listeners get to ask the team questions whether they are football related or not! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 19.00 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  The Squanderers! The Chelsea Football FanCast #233 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the Chelsea FanCast crew discuss how Chelsea conspired to squander two possible wins against Reading and Newcastle, plus the ‘Fannies’; ‘If You Don't Ask You Don't Get!’ and all the weeks Chelsea News! We remember the days when away trips to Reading and Newcastle would have yielded maximum points. Not any more so it seems. These days under the management of the Fat Spanish Waiter, we have to endure a draw against a serial relegation candidate and a defeat snatched from the jaws of victory at Newcastle. But is it all his fault? Surely the players must shoulder some of the blame for atrocious defending, and the board and Emenalo in particular are massively culpable for leaving the squad so thin with too many out on loan and not enough cover in various positions. What a shambles! We discuss the matches against Reading and Newcastle on the show, and ask why Emenalo, why? We’ll also be looking into ‘Smoke Bomb Gate’ where a couple of Chelsea lads have received custodial sentences for bringing smoke grenades in to Swansea’ ‘Liberty’ Stadium. We also talk about the forthcoming launch of the Chelsea Supporters Trust this Saturday and hear from Robin about last week’s CPO meeting. As well as all that, we’ve got the ‘Fannies’ where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. And to wrap up we have another edition of “If you don’t ask you don’t get” where the listeners to the live show get to ask questions to the panel whether they be football related or not! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday at 19.00 GMT by going to www.mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  Pecked by Swans, stung by Bees! The Chelsea Football FanCast #232 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew report back on a disappointing week for Chelsea off the pitch and a mental and very bouncy old skool week off it! It’s been a tale of two cups over the last week, and the boys in blue mounted wave after wave of attack at Swansea until bravely going out of the Capital One Cup with a bang, and then on Sunday we battled so bravely against a top team from League 1 and fought back to get a well-deserved draw…hang on…ooops it looks like we’ve got hold of the notes for rafabenitez.com by mistake!!! Of course what we mean is that we had to witness Chelsea getting knocked out of the Capital One Cup by meekly surrendering to a well-organized side without scoring a goal in 180 minutes football, and then watched as we were totally outplayed by a brave plucky Brentford side and were very lucky to get a draw. It goes from bad to worse, but at least we had a laugh by jumping about on the terraces – the first time some of us have done that for over 20 years. We discuss the matches against Swansea and Brentford on the show, the return of the terraces, Hazard-Gate and a quick chat about the Fans Forum; The Chelsea Supporters Trust launch meeting and the CPO meeting this week. As well as all that, we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. And to wrap up we’ll be doing another edition of our new slot called “If you don’t ask you don’t get”. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 19.00 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  A Game of Two Halves! The Chelsea Football FanCast #231 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the Chelsea FanCast crew discuss the draw against Saints, the win against The Arsenal, is it toxic fans or Rafa’s tactics and all the latest on the Chelsea roller coaster. Another week, another roller coaster ride. Two great first halves and two poor ones. Toxic atmosphere, Rafa’s tactics or just no atmosphere? Either way drawing to Saints at home is not good enough, but squeaking a win against The Arsenal is always welcome. On the bright side, we’re consolidating our third position in the table and playing some bloody good football at times. On the negative side Rafa’s decisions are perplexing and a civil war between Chelsea fans is breaking out. There are more questions than answers as Jonny Nash once said! We try to answer these questions on the show where we discuss the draw against Saints, the win against The Arsenal, is it toxic fans or Rafa’s tactics and all the latest on the Chelsea roller coaster. As well as all that, we’ve got the ‘Fannies’ where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We’ve also got Lauren’s Loan report, ticketing issues for the next Fans Forum and our new slot called “If you don’t ask you don’t get” the Chelsea FanCast version of truth or dare where you get to ask us a question about…anything! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday at 19.30 GMT by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  The Frank and Walters show! The Chelsea Football FanCast #230 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew discuss the Cup defeat at home to Swansea, the victory away at Stoke, Torres, booing and Super Frankie Lampard. A bit of a topsyturvey week this week – such is life as a Chelsea fan under the interim management of the Fat Spanish Waiter! First we had a bizarre evening last Wednesday where we contrived to lose to a Swansea team who took their only 2 chances of the evening, and then we battered Stoke 4-0 courtesy of 2 own goal hero Jonathan Walters. But that’s football baby! We discuss the defeat to Swansea, the win against Stoke, booing, Torres, Super Frankie Lampard and should we just give up playing at home and just play away instead? As well as all that, we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We’ve also got Lauren’s Loan report and a chat about the transfer rumours and a new slot called “If you don’t ask you don’t get” where the listeners get to ask a question to any of the panel - a bit like the Chelsea FanCast version of truth or dare! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 19.30 GMT by going to mixlr.com/Chelsea-fancaston your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on the mixlr website and on twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  Keep The Blue Smoke Flying High! The Chelsea Football FanCast #229 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew discuss the defeat to QPR and the FA Cup win against The Saints with Demba Ba's great debut and Super Frankie Lampard’s 193rd goal!! Oh and smoke bombs. BANG!!! Chelsea looked like they were going to get a clean sweep over the tricky Christmas period, but then a bit of complacency and squad rotation did for us with an embarrassing and very difficult to stomach defeat to the village idiots from Acton also known as QPR. But nothing like an FA Cup third round tie away and a new striker to cheer you up, and we had exactly that at Southampton on Saturday! We discuss the defeat to QPR, the FA Cup win against Saints, blue smoke and thunder flashes, and Super Frankie Lampard in the show, as well as the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We’ve also got a good old sing song in “Shall we sing a song for you”, and we wrap up as ever, by answering your questions in ‘You’re on CFFC’. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live on Monday nights at 19.30 GMT by going to mixlr.com/Chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  Corinthians 1 Casuals 0 - The Chelsea Football FanCast #228 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew convene to discuss Chelsea 'not' being Champions of the World. Good job that the gorgeous Samantha Johnson from Chelsea TV & Sky Sports is the special guest is here to cheer us and the benches up! So much for The Fat Spanish Waiters much vaunted tactical nous and attention to detail. So much for The Fat Spanish Waiters track record in winning trophies. So much for The Fat Spanish Waiters ability to get the best out of Torres. If you’re a Chelsea supporter, winning the Club World Cup was very very important. It was our chance to give it back to our rivals with the chant of “Champions of the World – we know what we are”. But its ok, Rafa’s happy: “we missed a few chances, but that’s good, because we’re making them”. Tell that to the 1,000 Chelsea supporters whose trip to Japan cost £5,000. Its ok for Rafa he can smile in the knowledge that he’s back in the spotlight at a big clooob. What a farce. When will someone at Chelsea football club realise the mistake they have made in appointing a manager who will act like a cancer to our club and destroy it from within like the red agent that we know he is. We have a very very special guest on the show – quite possibly the most beautiful guest we have had on the Chelsea FanCast, the one and only Samantha Johnson Presenter, Broadcast Journalist & Writer for Al Jazeera Sport/Sky Sports News/Colourful Radio/Chelsea TV/Girls Sport Talk. She’s a Villa fan, but we’re prepared to forgive her because she works for Chelsea TV and she’s gorgeous. Sam tells us about working for Chelsea TV and Sky on the show. As well as all this we discuss Chelsea’s Club World Cub travails and we award the Fannies for Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We’ve also got a good old sing song in “Shall we sing a song for you”, Lauren’s Loan Report and to wrap up as ever, we answer your questions in ‘You’re on CFFC’. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live by going to mixlr.com/Chelsea-fancaston your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  The Rafalution will not be glorified! The Chelsea Football FanCast #227 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew discuss Chelsea's two wins and the re-invention of some new striker called Torres! We're joined by cfcuk writers Gate 17 legend Mark Worrall and Walter Otton to discuss Walter's new book "The Red Hand Gang" and Chelsea Brasil's Felipe tells us all about the Club World Cup The Fat Spanish Waiter finally breaks his Chelsea duck and delivers two wins in a week, with the help of his countryman Torres scoring 4 goals. Well that justifies his appointment doesn’t it? Err No. Whilst it’s great to see Chelsea scoring goals and winning again, the strength of the opposition should be taken into account – i.e. very poor, and we’ve seen plenty of Torres false dawns over the last two years. So while we contemplate the end of our Champions League campaign before it had a chance to get going, we can now look forward to Channel 5 Thursday nights in the Europa Cup. But before that we have a chance to put things right by becoming Champions of the World in Japan. And on an even brighter note, the win against Sunderland saw the return of Super Frank Lampard…Oh and well done to the Chelsea FanCast’s favourite boxer Dazzling Darren Barker for knocking out Kerry Hope in 4 rounds on Saturday night. A couple of very special guests on the show this week - cfcuk writers - Gate 17 legend Marco Worrall and Walter Otton. Walter has just released a book: The Red Hand Gang – a book about “PASSION. CORRUPTION. DETERMINATION. DEVASTATION.THE RED HAND IS THE COLOUR OF JUSTICE.THIS ANTI-NESTLE FOOT SOLDIER OF FAITH WILLNEVER EAT SHREDDED WHEAT”. We’ll be talking to these two about all things Chels and Walter’s book in the show, and they do a Chelsea FanCast first - a book reading. A bit like Jackanory but for Chelsea fans! As well as all this we discussing the matches against New Zealand and Sunderland and we have the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We also have a good old sing song in ‘Shall we sing a song for you’, and Felipe gives us his preview of the Club World Cup in Japan where Chelsea face Monterray and then hopefully Corinthians in the Final on Sunday. To wrap up as ever, we answer your questions in ‘You’re on CFFC’. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live by going to mixlr.com/Chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, twitter @ChelseaFanCast or Facebook on the fan page.
