We were there when Obi scored! The Chelsea Football FanCast #256 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the team are joined by football journalist Dan Levene to discuss Chelsea v Fulham and Basel and ask what’s the matter with Mata on the simultaneous TV, Radio and Podcast of what is commonly known as The Chelsea FanCast! Saturday was one of those games which define why we love football. It had nothing to do with the game which was fairly average, it had nothing to do with the result which frankly should have been a given. It had everything to do with one man – John Mikel Obi who scored his first Chelsea goal in his last 261 games – a stat which has become a massive feature on this show much to my hilarity, To say we went mental is an understatement. Other than that it was most certainly a game of two halves and the win put us top of the table if only for a day. Crisis what crisis? Time to keep calm and support Jose and the team, even if there is an issue with Mata (and possibly Luiz), both of whom were not even in the squad. Well, what minds doesn’t Mata and what Mata’s doesn’t mind in our view. Oh and to top off a great day, Jose completely owned Jamie Redknapp in the post-match briefing. We have a special guest in the form of Dan Levene a freelance journalist who covers Chelsea for various papers. He is the Chelsea man for our local paper, the Fulham Chronicle, and is best known to Chelsea fans as @blueschronicle on Twitter. He has worked in press and PR for 20 years, and has supported Chelsea since Pat Nevin was the glorious future of this club. We discuss the win against Fulham, the loss to Basel, John Mikel Obi’s goal and the Mata matter on the show and we also award our match day awards for the Fulham game – The Fannies – for Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery Moments. And of course to wrap up we’ve got more stats from Chelsea Chadder (https://twitter.com/ChelseaChadder) and all the latest Chelsea supporter related news. You can now listen to the show live at 19.00 every Monday by tuning in to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast (http://mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast) or you can watch the TV show at the same time at sportstonightlive.com (http://www.sportstonightlive.com/).  Sticky Toffees! The Chelsea Football FanCast #255 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the team are joined by football writer Rob Shepherd to discuss Everton v Chelsea in their debut as a simultaneous TV show, radio show and podcast! Faces for radio? Only one way to find out… sportstonightlive.com (http://www.sportstonightlive.com/) Saturday saw Chelsea’s first defeat of the season in a frustrating day at Everton. And let’s face it as Jose ‘the not so Happy One’ said afterwards if you don’t take your chances to score then you don’t deserve to win, but clearly we were the best team! However the Chelsea FanCast can exclusively reveal the real reason we lost - it was the ‘Curse of the Black Kit’! Never the less, the defeat led to the obligatory social media meltdown. Had we won we'd have been top of the league, but as we lost its now officially our worst start in the Roman era, thus proving how stupid football is nowadays! This week our special guest is Rob Shepherd. Rob has been a football writer for over 25 years writing for papers such as Today, The Daily Express, The Sunday Times and the News of the World, not so much the doyenne of football journalists but the daddy of football journalists and very much in a Ray Winstone style! We discuss the defeat to Everton on the show, and award our match day awards – The Fannies – for Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery Moments. The listeners get the chance to ask Rob and us a question in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” – on football or anything – and of course to wrap up we’ve got more stats from Chelsea Chadder and the latest Chelsea news. You can now listen to the show live at 19.00 every Monday by tuning in to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast (http://mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast) or you can watch the TV show at the same time at sportstonightlive.com.  Super Chelsea! The Chelsea Football FanCast #254 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge & the gang discuss the epic performance against Bayern Munich in the European Super Cup final and agree with Jose that the best team lost! It was a cruel way to be denied another Super Cup when Bayern scored an equalizer just 8 seconds, yes 8 seconds from the final whistle. But Chelsea did themselves and us proud with a defiant performance down to 10 men against the Champions of Europe. And anyway, if we had to choose I think we would all choose 19-05-12 over last Friday! When all is said and done we've got players and a manager who all play for the shirt. Can't ask for more than that and that's what matters! We will be discussing the draw against Bayern Munich and quite possibly the meaningless penalties after, and awarding our match day awards – The Fannies – for Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery Moments. We’ve got more stats from Chelsea Chadder, the latest Chelsea supporter related news and to wrap we answer your questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” – on football or anything – we just don’t care! This is also the last show (probably!) recorded at Putney Station Bar as the show will be moving to TV and the live audio stream and podcast via Sports Tonight Live (http://www.sportstonightlive.com/) from Monday 16th September and we’ll be telling you all about that later in the show. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 19.00 pm by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast. You can also email us at chelseafancast@gmail.com during the week. The Chelsea Football FanCast: Super Chelsea

Romelu, Romelu, wherefore art though Romelu? The Chelsea Football FanCast #253 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew discuss Chelsea's first test of the season with an away trip to Man Utd. Did they pass? We answer this and other life affirming questions with the help of special guest Chelsea Chadder! Chelsea travelled to Man U for their first real test of the season and Jose picked a starting 11 with no recognized striker – was he making a point or was it a brave and cunning plan? At the end of the day it was a hard fought, chess like tactical battle which gave us a well-earned point against our title rivals. That works for us, but we have to ask: Romelu, Romelu, wherefore art though Romelu? On the show we discuss the draw against Man Utd and award our match day awards – The Fannies – for Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery Moments. We also have a look back at the Villa game and we’ve got more stats from Chelsea Chadder live in the house to read them himself; the latest Chelsea supporter related news and the live audience get to ask us a load of questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” – on football or anything – we just don’t care! We’ve also got some very exciting news about the new direction of the show, no not Lauren presenting after her barnstorming performance on Soccer Am, even more exciting than that! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 7.00 pm by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  The Second Coming! The Chelsea Football FanCast #251 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This week Stamford Chidge is joined by Lauren, Pablo, Ross & Darren to discuss the 'second coming' and triumphant return of Jose Mourinho as Chelsea beat Hull City 2-0. So the moment finally came as our greatest ever manager returned to where he belongs, and quite appropriately served up a 2-0 victory against the ‘Tigers’ that was never in-doubt from the minute Super Frank Lampard blasted in a 30 yard free kick. Our only disappointment was that Jose’s second coming was not announced like the opening scene of the classic Fellini film ‘La Dolce Vita’ where a life-size statue of Jesus Christ, arms outstretched, is transported high above the Rome skyline by helicopter. Come on Roman sort it out! But when all is said and done, Jose is back and so is football! We are joined by special guest, Nigel Seeley, Betting expert for Sky Sports, Setanta TV and a regular on TalkSport. Nigel tells us all about how to win when betting on the football and rounding up some interesting Chelsea (http://www.chelseafc.com/) related odds. For our first proper show of the season, we discuss the win against Hull and then award our match day awards – The Fannies – for Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery Moments. We’ve got more stats from Chelsea Chadder, the latest Chelsea supporter related news and to wrap up we answer your questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get”. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday night at 7.00 pm by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast (http://www.mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast) on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast (https://twitter.com/ChelseaFanCast).  Happy Talk! The Chelsea Football FanCast #250 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The Boys (and girl!) are back for another Chelsea FanCast season and are joined by special guest former Chelsea player Paul Canoville to discuss the return of the ‘Happy’ one and the new season! It’s almost time to pack away the shorts and flip flops and start thinking about Bovril, Beer and dark winter evenings following the Chels home and away – that’s right the football season that they are already calling season 2013/14 is nearly upon us. What better way to get in the mood for the new season with your old chums from the Chelsea Fancast in what tonight is our 250th show! On the show we have a look at pre-season, Jose’s return, the summer transfers and of course our thoughts on the season to come. But panic not we’ll still have some old favourites in the show such as Chelsea Chadders Stats, and the questions on “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” are aimed mainly at Canners! We also have news of what we are planning for the show this year, our latest blogs and the Chelsea Supporters Trust (http://www.chelseasupporterstrust.com/) AGM being held on 17th August. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast (mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast) on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast (https://twitter.com/ChelseaFanCast).  ChelTel's Tales From The USA - The Chelsea Football FanCast #249 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge welcomes back ChelTel to the Chelsea FanCast for the very last time as the Old Geezer tells us all about his three month trip to the USA - a voyage of Blue discovery!! ChelTel has been a mainstay of the Chelsea FanCast since we started podcasting in 2008, but in November last year he embarked on a three month trip to the USA (not as many thought, to get away from Rafa Benitez!). On his travels across the USA he met up with many Chelsea supporters who we have only come to know through facebook and twitter and through doing the Chelsea FanCast. In his own inimitable style, ChelTel regales us with his trip over land and sea, and discovers a fascinating and very hospitable country, and many proper Chelsea supporters along the way. What he didn't expect though was to see his beloved Chelsea play live again when he joined up with many other Amercian Chelsea supporters in St Louis and New York. On behalf of all the Chelsea FanCasters, and our thousands of listeners around the world, thanks for all the great podcasts ChelTel, and keep it blue, keep it Chels and keep it carefree...wherever you may be! Up The Chels!

Reasons to be cheerful, part one! The Chelsea Football FanCast #245 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the crew discuss the wins against Basle and Man Utd and ask does Rafa deserve any credit, and since when has grinning on a football pitch been a serious crime!! Amsterdam we are coming and Sp*rs we are coming for you would be an apt summary of the week! Chelsea marched on to their second European final in 2 seasons with a devastating 10 minute spell against Basle last week, and then sneaked a 1-0 win against Utd. If we beat Sp*rs on Wednesday, Champions League qualification will be sorted!! But does the Fat Spanish Waiter deserve any credit or should the players alone take the plaudits. And talking of the players, should David Luiz be vilified for grinning after being kicked by Rafael? All these and other questions of global importance will be answered on the show tonight, where we discuss the games against Basel and Man Utd and as always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We also have another dose of Chelsea Chadder’s weekly stats, and to wrap up we answer your questions in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get”. Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast on your computer or IPhone by downloading the mixlr app, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast.  (Future) Captain, Leader, Geezer! The Chelsea Football FanCast #244 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge is joined by Seb, Lauren and Sami from Carefree in the UAE, and the ‘Benches’ to discuss an altogether decent week for Chelsea! In terms of this season, it has been quite a good week. A win against Basle which leaves us with one foot in the Europa Cup final, and a vital 3 points earned against Swansea solidifying 3rd spot in the Premier League. And what was the common link in these two results? John Terry and Frank Lampard perhaps? It’s not rocket science is it Rafa! We discuss the game against Swansea and we look back at the win against Basle. As always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments. We also have another dose of Chelsea Chadder’s weekly stats, and to wrap we answer your questions on anything – football or non-football – in “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live every Monday at 19.00 BST by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast (http://www.mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast) on your computer or on your IPhone by downloading the Mixlr App, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast (https://twitter.com/ChelseaFanCast).  The Biter Bit! The Chelsea Football FanCast #242 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Stamford Chidge and the boys are joined by special guest Dan Levene from the Fulham Chronicle to discuss Mad Dog Suarez biting Brana and Rafa's Liverpool love in and all round ineptitude! Sunday’s match against Liverpool is best summed up by “He waves to the Kop, takes off our best players, doesn't defend our players, leaves our Captain on the bench, Rafa Benitez…he loves Scousers”. Harsh but probably true! From a position where we should have rammed home our advantage, we tried to hang on and ably abetted by another incompetent refereeing performance, we get mugged by a mad rabid biting dog. It could only happen at Liverpool…the home of Rafa Benitez!!! On a somewhat lively post-traumatic show, we discuss the game against Liverpool and ask is Suarez the biggest xxxx in football, and we look back at the win against Fulham and the Youth team’s excellent semi-final win against Liverpool in the Youth Cup. As always we’ve got the Fannies where we award our Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Guinness and Celery moments, and to wrap the listeners ask us questions in: “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” – on anything – football or non-football – we just don’t care! We’ll also have news of our end of season party later in the show so stay tuned! Don’t forget you can now listen to the show live by going to mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast (http://www.mixlr.com/chelsea-fancast) on your computer or IPhone, and you’ll be able to interact with us live on mixlr, and twitter @ChelseaFanCast (https://twitter.com/ChelseaFanCast).
