Sonic X comes on board. Sonic X is a Hard Rock band from Toronto, Canada. Band members Joey Greco and Joseph Cumbo join us. The band consists of members, Joey Greco, Lawrence Falcomer, and Joseph Cumbo.  Sonic X music consists of heavy riffs with an edge but also include memorable melodic passages that will keep you coming back for repeated listening. The writing and musicianship in Sonic X is flawless and the production is top notch. It's hard to compare Sonic X to other bands in the Hard Rock arena as Sonic X has crafted a unique sound by combining a classic rock vibe with production and elements of modern music. Sonic X formed in 2004 when they released their self-titled debut CD on Z Records.  The CD featured the popular song “News for You” which to this day remains one of Sonic X’s most downloaded songs. In 2007 Sonic X released their follow up CD titled THIRTEEN on Chavis Records. THIRTEEN featured the single “Seeds of Thunder” which received airplay on Sirius XM’s Breaking Bone program. THIRTEEN also included 4 bonus tracks from the Debut CD. In 2015 Sonic X released their most popular effort, the 4 song EP titled Fall From Grace.  The EP featured the singles “Save Yourself” and “PRAY” which received significant airplay on radio, especially on Sirius XM's Octane station...the premier radio station for emerging Hard Rock music. The band later took a break from live performances to focus on writing. In 2019 Sonic X had a change of direction with Joey Greco taking over lead vocals while original vocalist Adam Troy is on hiatus. In August 2019, Sonic X released “Leave Me Alone” their 1st single since 2015 to positive reviews.  Sonic X then released a new 5 song EP titled Fly Around the World on November 8th which also featured the follow up single aptly titled “Fly Around the World” a radio friendly song with a haunting catchy chorus that will stay with you long after listening Sonic X brings back that great feeling of what it’s like to listen to a stripped-down gritty rock song. We speak to Terry Kozachenko today of Terry K &3TL. The Niagara On The Lake, Ontario area artist is up for 7 nominations at The Red Carpet Award Show in Holland, the spring of 2021. Terry has written music for as long as he can remember. He writes musical stories about personal experiences and shared stories. Each song represents a moment in a point of time expressed. Songs expressed with emotion, a documented archive of sorts to a life well-traveled. At times along the way songwriting played second fiddle to other things. The on again off again relationship met traction with the formation of Terry K &3TL. Terry K &3tl is a collaborative ensemble based in Niagara On The Lake, Ontario. The players of the 3TL are a talented collective of contributing artists. It was established in 2017. Today we have Kolby Knickerbocker on the show. Shay & Kolby discuss his new EP Over and Over.  Kolby hails from Bend, Oregon in the United States where he creates incredibly soulful folk music filled with tributes to community, his family & his experiences. FOR RELEASE February 10, 2021 BEND, OREGON (January 25, 2021) - Kolby Knickerbocker announces the release of the single “Over and Over” on February 10. A modern take on the 50’s doowop of Otis Redding and Ben King, the song is dedicated to his wife as a reminder that his love will not waiver. Mixed by Sean Moffitt (Mat Kearney, Josh Groban, Ingrid Michaelson), it’s the title track off the upcoming mixed EP due out April 2. Commitment. Stability. Love. A testament that no matter how difficult it gets, no matter how strong the emotion, no matter the challenge, he’ll always be there. That’s the message Knickerbocker wanted to send to his wife in the song, “Over and Over.” To reinforce the message, he recorded 15 separate vocal parts to recreate a gospel choir effect. The result is intimate, raw, and powerful. Knickerbocker says, “This song is very special to me as I think of my daughter and son when I hear the lyrics. Knowing that they will one day feel the emotion that I have for their mother, my wife, and knowing that they will one day be able to really hear the dedication that we had as a couple is very personal and special to me.” While the title track is about coming back to love and relationship “Over and Over,” the EP’s title has a double meaning behind it. The EP is a nod to Knickerbocker’s feelings about being a musician. He says, “It can be draining, with long nights and lots of hard work, but I always come back to it because it is something that I love to do. It is endlessly challenging and endlessly fulfilling, so I will come back to writing songs and being a musician Over and Over, no matter how challenging.” About Kolby Knickerbocker Knickerbocker started his professional musical career early on, releasing his first album with Kitty’s Musicbox (2004) as a sophomore in college. Multi-instrumentalist and producer,  noted for his pure voice, intelligent lyrics, strong stage presence and devilish good looks. He lays claim to the throne of The Melancholy Prince. With Inspiration from artists like David Bowie, Placebo, The Cure, Still Corners and Björk, his music is constantly evolving and exploring the boundaries of alternative pop music. With frontman Charlie James emphasizing that “the lyrics act as a stream of consciousness”, the band aim to combine elements of disco (Fever) and traditional rock ‘n’ roll (Thunder) whilst providing a catchy melody at the same time. “It’s us running with the grunge disco thing. ‘Fever & The Thunder’ is like a sleazy house-party with a constant groove.” Charlie James states. “’Fever & The Thunder’ goes to the grungiest Disco places we have ever been,” Drummer Louis Duarte begins. “’Fever’ could easily be a doth of the cap to Night Fever and my four to the floor (ish) beat in the chorus, like it or not, is definitely inspired by John Travolta’s hips. We stretch time in the final stages of this, just before the gut punch of an ending… I guess that’s where the ‘Thunder’ comes in’ The band sold out two shows at Southampton’s iconic venue The Stage Door and ‘Fever & The Thunder’ is second in an exciting string of four releases. Today we have Echoviolet on the show! James Whiteley, Guitar & Vocals, and Rowan Minnis join Shay to discuss their music, and the upcoming album. Hailing from West Yorkshire, Echoviolet are a four-piece alternative rock band formed in 2019. The band's influences range from artists as diverse as Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Nick Cave, while carefully weaving their influences together in order to create a sound that is uniquely their own. In November 2019, Echoviolet reached the finals of the Bingley Weekender Battle of the bands competition, having only played a handful of shows prior to the event. In 2020, the band was accepted onto the prestigious MAS Records Artist Development Programme.  More recently, the band has had a number of their recent singles played extensively on local radio, with "Come Back Home" being selected as BCB Radio's Track of the Week in March, 2021. Tonight's guest is Secret Treehouse lead singer Anja. Secret Treehouse are a true DIY band that has managed to create something that Norway and the rest of the world will appreciate.
