 Flint | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:50

Hey, y’all. I am Shay. This is the on air indie show. Welcome & enjoy. Episode 57. First, music history for June 28th. In 2007 tragedy rocked the Rolling Stones concert in Madrid. While dismantling the stage, two workers were injured and two lost their lives. The Stones were currently on the European leg of A Bigger Bang world tour. Elvis Presley’s longtime guitarist Scotty Moore passed away in 2016 at age 84 in Nashville. Sun Records impresario Sam Phillips paired Moore with a teenaged Elvis in 1954. Together, along with bassist Bill Black, they recorded Presley’s first single, “That’s All Right (Mama).” The audition made music history. Alt-rock Brisbane-based, Australian band Flint is on the show today. Frontman Tony Rosenberg and guitarist Peter Jenner are our guests. Both are songwriters for the band. We spin the band’s debut single “Colours” off their debut EP Follow The Embers out in July. Flint has an unique classic rock inspired song that will hook you as a fan. Great band! Enjoy the show! tracks: "Colours" 13:42 From The Band Tony Rosenberg (vocalist / lyricist) and Peter Jenner (songwriter / guitarist) have been playing together for almost three years now, and writing as Flint for almost two. John Doyle (bass) and Brian Foulds (drums) joined the band in late 2020 and the fruit of their efforts is (will be) the band’s debut EP, a five-song compilation of rock music with an edge. Flint began as a desire to create a sound that is not obvious, but which traverses several realms of rock. Odd tunings, unexpected chord progressions, peculiar percussion are blended carefully with lyrical musings that take listeners on a roller coaster ride of moods, feelings and ideas. At one moment, a listener may hear something remotely familiar; however, before they can digest the sound, it is transformed into something unforeseen, or was it?https://youtu.be/HzLb7Dl5bag Production - JK Media Director - Kezia Bennett  Main actors: Tony Paterson, Katia Rosenberg Supporting Actors: Isabella Beltrao Previous Next Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Bandcamp Link Link

She seeks to help herself by screaming at the part that loves to soak and sit in the pain and guilt. The MANIAC prefers to stay unhappy by staying focused on her shame and refusing to look at the parts of her life that make her feel in love with being alive. The BRAINIAC (or positive thinking part of herself) keeps trying to be heard. BRAINIAC is from the CD 'CRAZY to SANE' and is available on Amazon as well as CD baby. Enjoy this music video about being of two minds until you're not. https://youtu.be/qmYtJTqmSDc The Brain Broad, Lynette Louise explains, "In my life many romances came and went as people ran from my autistic children. My thanks to Annie Potts, Scott Lawrence, Shawn Reaves, Denise Crosby, Dar Shelton, Andy Allen, Ron Whitaker, James Vaughan, Jory Shelton, Tawd Dorenfeld for sharing your celebrity, your love and support! This song celebrates the fact that we're all beautiful and endlessly unfinished and if we look in our own backyard we just may find that we are already loved. Then we rewind out of our pain and rewrite the story we tell ourselves about the people in our world. "Unfinished" is a state of being." https://youtu.be/oY65LBqUNxc Years ago before I was The Brain Broad I was Lynette Louise looking for Johnny :) To accompany my first C.D. I made this claymation/live action music video. Even then I involved my children in my projects. I love family businesses. If you like the zaniness great.  Scott Klein | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:46

Hey, y’all. I am Shay. This is the on air indie show. Welcome & enjoy. Episode 53. First, music history facts for June 14th. Ray Stevens was at No.1 in 1974 on the UK singles chart with “The Streak”. The song was about the current British craze at the time of streaking. Streaking was the act of running naked in a public place. Saskatoon folk rock artist Scott Klein joins us today. Scott’s somber and sexy delivery sets his music apart and is an artist to watch. Today we chat about “Sunshine” and “What’s My Name”. These are two incredible releases part of his upcoming album to release this year. Enjoy the show! tracks - "Sunshine" 8:55 "What's My Name" 29:32 Bio From Artist Deeply personal and highly eccentric, Scott Klein’s latest single “What’s My Name?” renders people’s attention like new smoke in an old bar haunt. The rhythmic guitar notes are a grounding contrast to the inspired ghostly lyrics that are spurred by the Canadian landscape and by the experience of losing one’s self in oneself. “What’s My Name?” echos with Klein’s lonesome tenor voice and spooky meditative acoustics, this song’s style veers down a countryish road from displeasure to confession. With a narrator from Young to Lennon he lays himself bare in desire to show what is below the surface in a society that prizes individualization. This song showcases the connection that occurs when losing oneself in emotion. Recorded in Saskatoon, “What’s My Name?” came to him all at once – a dream that’s both familiar and real. Continuing to record with musicians such as Greig Beveridge, Leot Hanson, and Producer Aspen Beveridge, Scott Klein reaps the benefits of recording in a small town.
