"PTSD - Not All Wounds Are Visible" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2898

The definition of PTSD, or "PTS" as some may refer to it as, is a psychiatric disorder that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, a serious accident, a terrorist act, war/combat, rape or other violent personal assault. Meaning, this can and will happen to people outside of the military, first responders and the like. This impacts everyone and it can often go unseen, as we typically don't relate a lot of our problems back to "PTSD".This week we welcome Candace from "Your Six", an organization that empowers and helps heroes and their families through confidential peer support, gatherings and social events. Her tactics are not typical or traditional, as being a first responder and veteran herself, she knows that talking to others in our fields works much better than some "old man/lady" from the local Critical Incident team. Her theory is that she, and others, can relate with the stresses of the day to day workflow in this profession. They understand what a person with PTSD is going through and have developed ways to circumvent the terror behind it. If you feel the need to reach out, even confidentially, look no further. These are trained professionals, in our professions, that can help you through those tough times, and give you a plan for a brighter future! You can find more on "Your Six" and "HeroPeers" through the links below!Facebook - http://facebook.com/yoursixrochesterwww.firstlineresponders.com/join

"Guest Rodney Damon Collins" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2458

Actor, Motivational Speaker, Director, and Writer, Rodney Damon Collins joins us for a look into his life and some stories on how he made it from Cleveland, OH to Los Angeles, CA. Being a family man, Rodney wanted to tend to his family and ensure that he spent time with his kids, prior to chasing his lifelong dream of acting. It all started for him in high school when we made a "skit" with some buddies for the "homecoming court". He went onto college and minored in theatre (without his parents knowledge), in order to have an opportunity, at some point in life, to get into acting. He's done some smaller roles on independent films as well as appearing as a Superhero on "Chosen Kin Origins" that can be seen on Amazon. Even with as busy as Rodney is in his full time acting career, he's written a motivational book entitled, "Shattered: A Journey Through the Pieces". A brief description of this book: The broken pieces of our lives create the most incredible portrait. Individually, each piece represents a part of our story. The journey to our dreams is like an unmarked roadmap, through each stage we learn the true meaning of what it means to live a fulfilled life. (-Source- Amazon) You can find the link to his book in his links below. We cannot wait to read it, or maybe even listen to his work. He's appeared in "Deadly Sins" a TV Series, and movies "The Job Interview", "Equal Chances", and "The Single Life" TV Series. With the look of Denzel Washington and one of the kindest people we've had on the podcast, we wish Rodney only the best as he moves forward in his acting career.BOOK - https://www.amazon.com/Shattered-Journey-Rodney-Damon-Collins-ebook/dp/B07MQPCV7MIMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7928242/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rodneydamoncollins25Twitter: https://twitter.com/rodneydamoncollInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/rodney_damon_collins/?hl=en

 "Friends" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2923

What makes a friend? Why do we call some our "BFF's", while others are "just friends"? Kevin & Sully go in depth in this episode all about friendship. From, who your "bury a body" friends are to ones that betray and back stab you.Sully has levels of friends. A level one friend is where you maybe text each other here or there. A Level 2-3 is where you text/call and joke with one another. Level 4 is going to each others house and hanging, having a drink or two, and so on. Level 5 is the bury a body friend. But friends don't take much to show their true colors either. Have you ever had a friend that talked behind your back and you found out about it? How about when you needed someone to talk to and they ghost you? Those are the times when you find out who your true friends are. Kevin keeps his circle of friends small. He describes how podcasting has helped him open up a little more on his personal life to people he's never met. He talks about how he really doesn't like people knowing a lot about him, but realized quickly through podcasting that it's helped teach him to open up a bit. Kevin doesn't easily trust people but says his ability to "read" people's personalities, has helped immensely. Always putting a fun, yet truthful twist into episodes, Kevin & Sully will have you not wanting to pause this episode to pick up that phone call at work.

"Birthday Switch Hitter" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2731

It's Crystal's birthday week! We always tend to do a little Crystal focused show around her birthday, so we stuck with tradition. The crew talks about what they used to do for birthdays as kids, ie; Chuck E Cheese, the Arcade, or out to dinner. That brought up the question of... at what age should kids stop having birthday parties? Sully thinks 12, Crystal agreed, and Kevin thinks it's about that age as well. Sully said it's like the age when you start having just one friend over and they go to dinner with the family and out to do something after. They all talked about what they did for their 21st birthday's as well. Sully said he puked his face off, how could anyone have doubted that? Crystal said she thinks she spent it at home because she had her 2 year old son at the time, and Kevin went out drinking with his buddies, but did not puke. Lucky him. Kevin did bring up a time he had "White Russians" after beer and projectile vomitted everywhere. Lots of reminiscing here that you're sure to enjoy!Crystal went to Vegas for her birthday this year and talked about how she wants to have a relaxing, "kid free" time with her best friend. We're bound to hear some good stories out of this trip on a future episode, as Crystal never lets down. Vegas baby, and Happy Birthday to our right hand girl, Crystal!

"Doctor to the Thoroughbreds with Guest Naomi Mellor" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3456

Kevin & Sully head across the "pond" and invited special guest Naomi Mellor (from London) a veterinarian to race horses and fellow podcaster, to this episode. They also had Sully's wife, Amy, join them because she not only works at Saratoga Horse Track, she's been around race horsing since she was a child.Naomi tells her story from starting out, wanting to be a veterinarian since she was a young child, and some of the challenges she faced along the way. She visited the Fiji Islands in the Pacific for a while to gain experience and then headed back home when her parents questioned what she was doing for an occupation. Working with and under multiple doctors, going to school, and gaining even more experience was her mission in London. She's had the opportunity to work with many great race horses, nursing them back to health, or sadly, having to put some down from injury. She has a true passion for this profession and it shines through in her personality.Naomi also hosts the "Smashing The Ceiling" podcast that is available on all podcast apps. In her podcast, she talks with people that do extraordinary things or occupations. She says although she typically interviews females to give her listeners perspective into their lives, she has a large following of male listeners because her content applies to everyone. We've listened, and we've already subscribed! Go give her pod a listen.Don't forget, starting this month, our "Hellbound with Halos" Unrated Episodes begin, the first one releasing the end of this week.  "Expectations vs. Reality" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3391

Ever had an image in your mind about the way something was going to play out? Or at least how you thought it would be? Only for it to be something completely else, or the scenario not playing out even close to what you had imagined. Usher in the latest Hellbound with Halos, "Expectiations vs. Reality"Kevin, Sully & Crystal start things off talking about one example of the ice creams from the little neighborhood ice cream truck. Remember those? You'd get all excited for the superhero pop and it either tasted like shit, or looked nothing like the front of the package. Or another example of recipes on Pinterest... that beautiful meal and what it looks like after it's done, and yours looks nothing like it, or resembles more of an alien life form. These are the expectations and realities of life. Expectations are our thoughts about how something is going to be or how we imagine it. The reality is, our expectations seldom meet or exceed what the true reality is.How about adulthood? Think back to when you were 18. Ahhhh, the day you could slam the door in your parents face and be a "man" or "woman" for the first time. Not shortly after, having that door slam you so hard back in the face because it's a lot harder than you had anticipated. This happens all the time in life, throughout life, and it takes time to learn to keep expectations lower so that you don't feel let down. The crew talks about all these things and more in this fun episode. Kick back, relax and think back to all of your expectations in life, and whether they came close to being reality or not.

"Q Anon & The Deep State" - The Truth Series Part II | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5386

The highly anticipated Part 2 of Hellbound with Halos Conspiracy Series Episode, is here! Kevin, Sully and 'Shred' sit down, in the studio, once again to delve deep into some theories and thought provoking situations that have happened, or are happening right before our very eyes.Shred starts off by explaining to the boys exactly who "Q Anon" is, and why it's there. No one knows who Q is, whether it's one person or multiple people, but Q is a force the deep state has serious issues with. Q Anon is defined by Wikipedia as a far-right conspiracy theory detailing a supposed secret conspiracy by an alleged "deep state" against U.S. President Donald Trump and his supporters. The theory began with an October 2017 post on the anonymous image board 4chan by someone using the trip code Q, a presumably American individual that may have later grown to include multiple individuals, claiming to have access to classified information involving the Trump administration and its opponents in the United States. The account has falsely accused numerous liberal Hollywood actors, politicians, and high-ranking officials of engaging in an international child sex trafficking ring, and that Donald Trump feigned collusion with Russians to enlist Robert Mueller to join him in exposing the ring and preventing a coup d'état by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and George Soros. "Q" is a reference to the top-secret Q clearance. (Source- Wikipedia 2019)Sully acknowledges, after his own research, that Q is a top secret clearance for the Department of Energy required to access Top Secret Restricted Data, Formerly Restricted Data, and National Security Information, as well as Secret Restricted Data.Crazy stuff and they haven't even gotten into the meat of the episode! Shred goes on to talk more about "The Deep State", how President Trump is playing chess, while the rest of the politicians in Washington are playing checkers. "He's the smartest man I've ever seen." "He's playing them like they've never been played before, he's three steps ahead of them." They all touch on the theory of Hillary Clinton and the Child Sex traffic allegations that Q has made, and SO MUCH MORE. This is one YOU CAN'T MISS. Part III, Coming Soon......

"Wanna Play Good Cop, Bad Cop?" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3061

Kevin & Sully invited Lauren, a female police officer into the studio for an episode. Kevin met Lauren through social media and was intrigued by her because she was local and that she is a female cop in a society such as today. They brought her in to discuss some of the challenges of becoming a police officer, what it's like to be a female cop and how difficult it is to be a police officer in today's society.Lauren started out by working at a Federal prison facility as a jailor at 20 years old. From there she moved to the road as a patrol officer. She says that it wasn't as difficult of a transition as she imagined and everyone on the force was very welcoming. They treated her not as a woman, but as a fellow officer. She did agree that some agencies or municipalities have this issue, but she was fortunate. The most nerve racking part of being on the road, for her, was her first day. She got her first call at 7am and blanked out. She called her commanding officer and he helped her through it. Since there it's been a pretty smooth ride. Lauren explains that working in the jail gave her some much needed experience for how to deal with criminals in the outside world. "Oh ya, you get to know them, they call me Barbie", she laughed. "I'd see one come in and I'd be like, damn your back in here, what for now?" Surprisingly enough, on the road, people tend to gravitate to her during situations. Kevin asks if she has problems with women because they are typically "catty" with other women, especially ones with authority over them. Lauren explained that they gravitate to her as well! Kevin wonders if it's because women can be deemed more trustworthy and male police officers tend to be looked at as a threat, due to unforeseen reasons, in today's society. They all talked relationships in the first responder fields and how tough that is to navigate, as well as, firemen being the better job over a cop.Kevin, Sully and Lauren had a great time with a lot of laughs. The boys have already invited her back to do a separate episode in the future! They joked with her about being a gorgeous female cop and talked about how they would have her arrest them on purpose. Go see for yourself at http://instagram.com/lono_86You can thank us later.

"Guest Perez Hilton and Celebrity Gossip" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3489

Kevin, Sully and Crystal are BACK for the first episode of 2019! Crystal starts things off talking about how her wall heater, at their family vacation home in Tahoe, almost burned her house down. Sully worked at played referee with his dogs, and Kevin was sick with malaria (not really but he says it felt like it), for the whole holiday break. It's great to hear the crew back together again since Crystal's short absence. They all talk about what they did on New Year's Eve.. Sully was in bed by 10:30, Kevin was in bed by 11:30. Kevin said he tried to stay up but was just too sick and tired to make it till midnight to watch the ball drop. He talks about how he took some left over amoxicillin and Sully read him the riot act because your not supposed to talk medicine like that. Kevin also brings up wondering what it would be like to be a celebrity during the holidays. Crystal said she could never imagine being a celeb, ever, because she doesn't like people all up in her face, while Sully thinks it would suck because everyone is watching your every move. But he thinks if he was he'd dress like a bum and smell of booze and bad decisions. Kevin brings up if they could be one celebrity or sports star, who would they pick? The first episode of the year starts off right where they left off. Perez Hilton swings through to say hi to the crew and catch them up on what happened with celebrities in 2018 and what he thinks could happen, drama wise, in 2019! He talks about how Ariana Grande just blew off her concert in Las Vegas, the Kardashian Empire may come crumbling down this year, and he's worried for Demi Lovato and her addiction. They all talk a short bit about the social media world and the psuedo-celebrities of those platforms, Crystal is in awe by how Perez continuously stays relevant in the public eye, and he answers what he looks forward to in the new year. We thank Perez Hilton, even with the flu, for stopping by our Podcast and taking the time to create some content with us!They continue discussing celebrities and the like, after Perez bounces. They talk celebrities with addiction problems and how difficult it would be to be in someones shoes, like Demi Lovato. In Hollywood, drugs are everywhere, and it's gotta be difficult to remove yourself from that environment. Kevin says that people must completely absolve themselves from old friends and that lifestyle all together, or it just isn't going to work. Hellbound with Halos reminds everyone that drugs are BAD and there's no reason to even touch them. Kevin brings up how great 2018 was for the podcast and how they're all looking forward to a successful 2019 together.

"Motivational Angel Bethany Cefalu" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2885

Bethany Cefalu, 'The Motivational Angel', joins the boys for a special edition New Year's Eve episode! Broadcaster turned Life Vlogger, Bethany is dedicating her gift of gab to empower, drive and guide you to everything and anything you've ever wanted in life by utilizing the Law of Attraction. Kevin thought there isn't a better way to ring in the new year hearing and listening to some positive thoughts and ways you can help yourself think more positively going into 2019. Sully starts the show off admitting that eating more pizza is his New Year resolution, while Kevin introduces Bethany to the listening audience. Bethany describes herself, what she does and how she does it. Starting 'The Motivational Angel' about 6 months ago, she is looking to motivate and be a life coach for everyday people and help them to achieve their goals while keeping a positive mindset. They all discuss what can happen in life to steer people's mindset off track, but that you, as an individual, have the power to control that. Bethany agrees that thinking negatively only draws in more negative viewpoints, where thinking and seeing a positive light, even in bad situations, can lead to more positive outcomes.Find and Follow Bethany Here:YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSkqQlvfX_ekzgxRSUyYEMgFacebook- https://www.facebook.com/JustBethanyLee/Instagram- http://www.instagram.com/bethcefaluTwitter- https://twitter.com/bethanycefalu?lang=enWe wish you all a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year in 2019!
