Every day we get calls, texts and social media messages asking about our girl Nycki's rehab from her recent neck surgery...so since her husband Mike Kennedy was in-studio filling in on news this morning, we decided it was time for a wellness check on New Neck Nyck...and we found out that maaaaaaybe she's not doin' what she oughta when it comes to her physical therapy...so we had to put the hammer down because we care....and because she's at the lake and too far away to stab us!!

Though it only ran from 1964-1966, The Munsters continues to be one of the most beloved television shows of all time. And now, with the release of Rob Zombie’s movie version of this classic series on Netflix, a whole new generation of fans are discovering America’s favorite misfit family! Which is why we were stoked to find out that our old friend, Butch Patrick aka Eddie Munster, was coming to Lawrence to do an in-store appearance at 1313 Mockingbird Lane Toys & Collectables!! We caught up with Butch this morning to find out what he thinks of Rob Zombie’s remake and more!!

Whenever we hear that Actor/Comedian/Friend of the Show, TJ Miller is putting out a new comedy special, we know it's going to be different. And, in the case of his latest special, "Dear Jonah", that couldn't be any more true. Without spoiling it for you...what started out as a normal stand up show, morphed into something truly different and special...and we talked to TJ all about it this morning!

We first met Rutledge Wood as one of the hosts of the American version of Top Gear, as well as all of his work with NASCAR...but back in 2020, when the whole world was on lockdown, he hit Netflix with the extreme game show, "Floor Is Lava" and now millions know his face!! We got Rutledge on the phone this morning to discuss the new season of the show...but, as always, all talk turned to hot rods and poor life choices!!

We haven’t seen comedian John Caparulo in far too long. From Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation to The Tonight Show, and up to his Netflix special, he’s out there tearing up the road…so it was great to see him when he swung by the studio this morning to talk about everything from fatherhood, relationships, the true evil of cats and the graaaaaaadeur of driving thru Kansas!! But when he told us all about his meeting with Chiefs legend Marcus Allen, we remembered why we truly love this dude!  

With weed in Missouri looking at a vote in November to make it legal to smoke it recreationally, the smart money is getting into the business NOW…and in ways to make it even more accessible to all. Enter Franklin’s Stash House CEO, Michael Wilson and the legendary local snack company Guy’s, who are partnering to make THC infused potato chips!!! GENIUS!! We talked to Michael this morning and had many many questions about would might be an amazing day someday very soon!!

And after leaving NCIS in 2019, to took time to reconnect with his faith, and is back with new PureFlix movie, “Legacy Peak” hoping to bring a positive light to fatherhood that he feels is missing today.

Let’s face it…watching baseball games can be boring. And when Jesse Cole bought a baseball team, he knew that…so he set out to change that in the biggest way possible…by creating The Savannah Bananas!! In short, The Bananas are the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball…And Banana Ball has been selling out EVERY game since 2016!! With games limited to two hours, Jesse has become the PT Barnum of baseball, bringing a circus-like atmosphere to the proceedings and making the game more exciting than it’s ever been! And now ESPN+ has released a 5 part series that tells the story of the team, and follows them on their 7 city tour this past spring, “Bananaland”…and we talked to Jesse this morning all about it!

SlapFIGHT Championship is pretty much what you think it is....big, burley mofos, slappin' the ever lovin' shit out of each other to see why slaps the hardest!! And it's no huge surprise that the man behind the craziest combat sport, JT Tilley, is based out of Branson!! And this coming Saturday, JT is bringin' this circus to the Inn At Grand Glaze Resort in Osage Beach!! We talked to JT this morning to get all of the details!!

When you think of the all-time great metal vocalists, the name Ronnie James Dio is at the top of the list. Starting his career singing do-wop, going on to form the band Elf, the world really met him as lead vocalist for Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow and replacing Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath. He went on to establish himself as a solo artist and cemented his status as one of the most legendary frontmen in rock history! And now the new documentary following his life and career “Dio: Dreamers Never Die” is hitting theaters for two days, Sept. 28th and Oct. 2nd, and we had the chance to talk to Dio’s wife and manager, Wendy Dio and director Don Argott this morning all about it!

Dustin Colquitt is a true KC legend. In his 15 seasons with the Chiefs, he went to 2 Pro Bowls, helped the Chiefs to the Super Bowl victory in 2019, and set numerous team records, including playing in a franchise record 238 games!! And while he was released by the team in 2020, he’s still very much a part of our city, choosing to stay here and raise his family. And with tonight being the Chiefs home opener against the Chargers being broadcast worldwide on Amazon Prime, we decided it was time to catch up with our old friend and get his perspective on what we hope is a great opener and championship season!!
