The original Woodstock festival is look back at as a celebration of peace and love that defined a generation. Fires, vandalism, violence, sexual assaults, all fueled by a soundtrack of bands like Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Rock, and most infamously, Limp Bizkit.

For 6 seasons, comedian/impressionist Jay Pharoah turned in some of the most amazing impersonations in the shows history…from Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, Jay Z, Jamie Foxx and Tracy Morgan to then President Barack Obama! He left the show in 2016, starring in the Showtime series, “White Famous.” And now he’s out on tour, rolling into the Improv this weekend…and he stopped by the studio, along with a dizzying amount of celebrity impersonations, to hang out for an amazing interview!

And he won that bet by driving to Jersey, stealing and airplane…and landing it on the street in front of the bar in Manhattan!!!! Even more crazy, he didn’t go to jail! But it gets even crazier when, in 1958, when a bar patron didn’t believe his story…HE DID IT AGAIN!!! The story is nuts…it’s a movie waiting to be made…and we talked to NY writer Larry Yudelson all about it! PLUS… On his road to becoming a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, wrestling legend Booker T held 35 championships, and was a 6 time World Champion!! And throughout it all, he’s stayed the same humble, blue collar guy he’s always been…which is why he’s gone back to his hometown with the CBS show “Secret Celebrity Renovation” to make over the house of his best friend’s mom, who encouraged him back in the day. He is, simply, one of the best.

There is ZERO debate that Anthrax were one of the forefathers of thrash metal…alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, they changed metal forever! And 40 years on, they are stronger than ever, preparing to release new music soon, and launching a US tour this week with Black Label Society and Hatebreed opening…and that tour rolls into KC at the Midland theater on August 2nd…and that gave us a great excuse to talk to Anthrax frontman and longtime Friend of the Show, Joey Belladonna on the phone about the tour, meeting your heroes, the importance of playing “the hits” and being “metal enough”.

We first met wildlife biologist/adventurer Forrest Galante earlier this year as host of the Animal Planet docu-series, “Mysterious Creatures” and immediately realized that he and Johnny had a lot in common…so we were happy to find out he’s back for Discovery’s Shark Week 2022 with a new special that travels to Papau New Guinea for “The Island of the Walking Sharks”, making its debut this Wednesday on Discovery and DiscoveryPlus!!
