A Voice for Men

This week will be a special show for AVFM News and Activism.  Instead of having regular news stories and a guest we will have a round table discussion about activism and the future of the MRM.  James and Robert will be talking about effective strategies and how they have thus far be gauged.  All are welcome to call in and talk about their efforts or aspirations and what they think could be effective strategies.   This movement is only just recently beginning to make its presence known and our opponents are taking notice.  Sharing activism experiences and techniques are important if we are to make any real change.   It is more important than ever that people call into the show to talk about activism strategies and encourage others to become active themselves.  Please do not shy away from calling if you are a newcomer or a novice;  you are every bit as important as seasoned MRAs and your input, as well as your efforts, are very important.   The Dr. F Show has come to your town. That's right, lock up your sheilas and keep the feminists away because he doesn't give an F what you think.   Dr. Greg Canning from the steamy tip of Queensland will give the low down on the high priestess feminist baboons as they swing from slimy vine to slimy vine.   Technology is the name for a body of human accomplishment which has levered our species out of a subsistence, survival based existence to a modern culture of plentiful food, modern medicine, transportation, art, philosophy and affluent prosperity. But technology also enables us to place great distance between the initiation of actions and their execution. This is particularly true in the practice of violence, and in war. But the great separation between initiation of the use of force, and execution also allows detachment, and it's in this great gap that a malevolent and pathological ethic can grow.   Tonight on AVfM Radio JTO, GWW discuss whether proxy violence is the practice of an ethic of evil.  

On tonight’s show we will have as our guest Katherine Gibson of FLAIR or Family Law Advocates Initiating Reform.  FLAIR was founded by both Ms Gibson and Gordon smith who was a victim of the family court in Delaware where he was falsely accused by his ex wife of domestic violence and had his children taken from him.   After helping Gordon and countless people with problems in Family Court she realized that the problems were systemic and reform needed to be made legislatively.   Catherine is active in lobbying efforts locally and in Washington on family law and related issues. She  advocates for individuals, as time allows, liaising  with agencies and entities, on their behalf. She is a former legal assistant and mediator. Previously she worked in a law office that handled 400-450 divorces a year.   If masculinity is evil, predatory, regressive atavism – which is what the proponents of radical feminism seem to believe, then male spaces, or places in human society which are male oriented, male friendly without apology without polite curtaining of male identity in deference to women – such places cannot possibly be allowed. Female spaces, that is, places where female identity dominates to the total exclusion of men are relatively common, and indeed, almost all public space shared by women is governed with an ethic of deference to female emotion and sensibility. However, in a healthy, functional society which acknowledged the existence of men and women, as humans, both Female and Male friendly spaces are necessary feature of the landscape. So where are the male spaces in modern society, and how do we get them back? JtO, GWW and TyphonBlue get busy tonight with some necessary groundwork, rebuilding male space in western society.

  Last week we began talking about the very sensitive subject of divorcing your children, or what it means to come to the conclusion that your involvement in your children’s life is doing them, and perhaps you, more harm than good. This is the situation many men find themselves in after divorcing or breaking up with an abusive female who takes the conflict from the breakup and carries it on with no end in sight, dragging the kids into the fray until their minds are warped and poisoned. Judging by the emails that came in from this show, it was one that struck a nerve with many listeners, particularly men who have been forced against a wall with their children since their relationship with the mother was dissolved. Per the request of listeners, we are returning to this subject again tonight on Man, Woman, Truth radio, and this time we are going to dig a little deeper.   What do men do when the marriage is over, but the ex-wife uses the kids as a permanent, go-to method for continuing her vindictive and vengeful behavior? For many men, there is no good way out. They are, out of love for their children, locked in to a lifestyle of continuing abuse. Frequently the children are enlisted by the mother to share her hatred and animosity for the father, and what was once a broken marriage becomes a broken family. Some men are forced to consider an almost unthinkable solution, which is to say good-bye to their children. It is a problem that no man wants, yet many face. Some men live by a code as fathers that no matter what the circumstances saying good-bye to their children is not an option.   The social contract The social contract is of course, the label for a view that an individual’s moral obligations are dependent upon a tacit agreement among them to form the society in which they live. Between men and women, It was once – men are “superior” and women are “inferior”. Of course what nobody ever said out loud was that the inferior partners in that top to bottom relationship were the ones controlling the social identity and value of their superiors. Strong, large, and apparently in charge, men had the role of providers, protectors, and actors in the world, assuming risk, dispensing and absorbing violence – and when convenient for the interests of others, dying. In exchange – men got a social identity as humans. Fast forward fifty years, and that positive social identity is no longer a part of the deal, but the onus to provide, to protect, and die, we've still got that. So what possible answer can any of this have? Quite simply, the deal is off. The social contract is broken.

  Tonight on AVfM Radio we will be talking about what everybody knows is a relic of the past, and not a feature of modern life. That most abhorrent and vile of human institutions, slavery.   We like to imagine that as modern citizens of a post enlightenment culture, we're different we're conscious and conscientious – shit, some of us go out of our way to buy “farmer friendly” products and “ethical” coffee beans – patting ourselves of the back hard enough to need a spa day and a professional massage afterwards. We also imagine slavery as an ancient, brutal, obsolete practice marked by whips, chains, and black men beaten or whipped for not picking the cotton fast enough, or for daring to speak up to their betters, their masters.   Like all human practices, slavery changes through innovation, becoming more efficient, and most importantly more invisible. JtO and GWW will be ripping the blinders off tonight to examine the modern format of one of humanity's most shameful and long lasting social institutions. The business of slavery.

Tonight on  the fourth edition of AVFM News and Activism we will be featuring University of Mississippi student and  MRA Ben Robinson.  Ben has made a name for himself on YouTube under the names Helperdogfromhell and ConnectingRod911 where he reported stunning examples of misandry at his school including videos about the Clothesline Project and more recently the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event.  Ben was instrumental in helping AVFM report on the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event by giving us first hand accounts and providing valuable information that helped us expose the avarice nature of the schools Office of Sexual Assault.   Robinson, a senior engineering student at MSU, has come under personal attack for being outspoken against the misandry on campus and has been noted by many as a prime example of a one man show when it comes to Men’s Rights activism.  We hope that his appearance on our show will encourage other student MRAs to engage in similar activism on their own campuses.   He will be answering our questions and yours so do call in at (310) 388-9709 .  Showtime is 9pm eastern 8pm central and as usual we will be featuring news and commentary before the interview.

  Sex, , Victimhood and the use of victim identity in political tyranny. Tonight on A Voice for Men Radio, John the Other and Girl Writes What will be discussing sex as a means of reproduction, and sex as a social communicative tool, in pair boding and in relationships, and the difference some ideologues seem determined to remain blind to. Also under discussion is how victimhood changes its character when it is a self selected identity rather than an unfortunate outcome or accident.
