Slut shaming is a bad thing. At least when it’s directed at women. I mean, when it’s directed against individual women.  But slut shaming seems to be perfectly valid when directed against an entire sex. I’m referring, of course, to the fact that we see men as sluts. All of them. We see their sexuality as damaging, degrading and degraded.  And, of course, like all sluts men are always asking for it. Tonight we have as our guest Attila Vinczer, Activism Coordinator at AVFM to talk about the arrest of his twelve year old son, Steven.   Steven is the target of what appears to be a witch hunt at his school.  He has been accused of misconduct stemming from incidents in which no injury occurred and can only be construed as normal male child behavior.  Many of the accusations appear to be completely fabricated. Steven, then twelve, was arrested.  Vinczer is filing a lawsuit against the school and the police in order to clear his son’s name. Vinczer tells us the whole story here in video. We all know that feminists believe in equality. And thats certainly a reasonable principle to hold. But here’s the catch. Feminists get to define how the men’s side is measured and how the women’s side is measured. They get to define what equality is. Not so reasonable anymore is it?  Let’s talk about principles. This week our special guest is Professor Murray Straus, a pioneering researcher on the subjects of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and child abuse. Straus is possibly the most influential researcher on this issue in the academic world, with a career going back to the 1950s. He serves as Professor of Sociology and founder and Co-Director of the Family Research Laboratory at the University of New Hampshire, a position he has held since 1968.
