In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Sunday touchdown pass from Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett to WR George Pickens on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens and all of the discussion related to the play that has come out of it. We recap what Pickett said about the play on Tuesday and also highlight a few other things that the all-22 tape showed related to the signal he gave Pickens pre-snap. The Steelers have made a few practice squad moves since our last show, so Alex and I recap those. We also talk about the finger injury sustained by OLB T.J. Watt on Sunday against the Ravens. Steelers WR Diontae Johnson said on Tuesday that he expects to return from his hamstring injury after the bye week so Alex and I discuss that great news and impact it hopefully will have on the offense. Will Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. be a starter coming out of the bye week? Based on what a few defensive coaches said on Tuesday, it doesn’t sound like that will be the case. Alex and I discuss if that would ultimately be the right decision. Now that Alex and I have both reviewed the all-22 from the Steelers Sunday Week Five win against the Ravens, we go over a few observations that we made on both sides of the football. We talk about the overall play of both the offense and defense on Sunday and Alex goes a little more in-depth on how Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was contained for the most part in that game. Is Steelers WR Gunner Olszewski long for the Steelers roster at this point? We look at his contract situation and speculate about how much longer he might remain in Pittsburgh. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers Week Five win at home on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. We discuss the inactive list ahead of the Sunday game to get this show started and also talk a little bit about the injuries sustained by the Steelers on Sunday. Moving forward, Alex and talk about how the Ravens played a big part in losing on Sunday and how the Steelers not having catastrophic plays helped them get the win. We talk about dropped passes by the Ravens and more in this segment. We go on to discuss the play on offense on Sunday and how we feel about that unit entering the bye week with the team 3-2 and leading the AFC North division. We discuss the plays made by WR George Pickens and Jaylen Warren on Sunday that played a big part in the Steelers beating the Ravens. October 6, 2023 - Season 14, Episode 33 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers and their upcoming Sunday home game against the Baltimore Ravens. That begins with us going over the injury report from Thursday and how that already has the inactive list nearly filled up. We discuss hoping that OLB Alex Highsmith (groin) will play on Sunday and how barring a setback, QB Kenny Pickett will give it a go versus the Ravens. The Steelers coordinators, Matt Canada and Teryl Austin, both held their weekly press conferences on Thursday so as usual, Alex and I tear through what they both had to say. We discuss the response Canada had to the CBS Sports comments this past Sunday regarding him allegedly talking about how his offense isn’t built to come from way behind. We go way too deep into that, but it is topical, to say the least. We discuss Austin’s thoughts on the readiness of rookie CB Joey Porter Jr. and him potentially seeing more defensive snaps on Sunday. We also discuss if we'll finally see DT Breiden Fehoko and CB Desmond King II on defense on Sunday versus the Ravens. The Chicago Bears traded former Steelers WR Chase Claypool to the Miami Dolphins on Friday, so Alex and I discuss that news right after it broke on social media. In the middle of this show, Alex and I are joined by Jonas Shaffer, who covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Banner.
