She lost her Mom to breast cancer and then waited for her own diagnosis - with Mel Greenberg | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:22

Mel lost her Mom to breast cancer when she was only 17 and then waited for her own diagnosis. She has also started her own publishing company and is an author twice. IN HER WORDS: I am a breast cancer survivor and philanthropist. My motto is that life can really suck - but it's up to me not to let it suck the life out of me. Mel Greenberg is the married mother of two sons in their early twenties. She worked as a copywriter and producer in radio and television before having children and making the decision to stay at home with them full-time. Once she became an empty nester, Mel struggled to find her voice and direction. Ultimately, it was her passion for writing and the discovery that she was not alone that led her to write “Running With Our Eyes Closed.” It is the first installment of a series exploring her characters’ struggle to redefine the next years of their lives. In addition to writing the next book in the Empty Nested series, Mel is working on several projects, ghostwriting and producing. When she's not visiting her boys, and traveling the world, she enjoys life in the Southwest with her husband Dean, her beloved English Bulldog Stella, and German Shepherd https://www.melmediallc.com https://www.instagram.com/melgberg https://www.facebook.com/MELMediallc https://twitter.com/melgreenberg17 https://www.linkedin.com/in/melmediallc https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5gAvYnBAkNbr81YZ08sJNg?view_as=subscriber --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message

Raised by a famous Mom, passed around to other people, molested, she moved to the US alone at 12 - with Foojan Zeine | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:55

Foojan and I discuss being raised by a famous Mom with a father not in the pictures much and being passed around to people to take care of her. The good news is she received love from everywhere, the bad news is she was molested. With therapy, awareness integration, resilience she got through her past. She was first a child in rage, ran away at age 11, moved to the USA at the age of 12 on her own, attended ASU at 15 years old and used her past as her passion to become a therapist. IN HER WORDS: I am originally from Iran. I was sexually molested from age 3-8, come from a divorced family, came to the U.S. at age 12 1/2 alone, graduated from High School at age 15, went to ASU as an international student, the revolution happened and my parents could not support me, so I started working 3 jobs at age 17 to survive, had to quit school since as an international students the cost was extremely high. I worked and put my self through school and graduate school while I paid fully with no loan. Today I am a known psychotherapist with 30 years of experience who has originated a psychological model to minimize depression and anxiety and raise self-esteem and confidence.  Being near death in the hospital, gave her the guts to be an author, talk to animals and take multi-dimensional journeys in her business that helps others heal - with Glenda-Ray Riviere | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:47

Glenda-Ray and I discussed being in the hospital and nearly dying, "we have to feel it to heal it", working with animals, energy healing as an intuitive, having multi-dimensional journeys, talking to animals, being silent and the cost of not speaking up. A published author twice, with a YouTube channel and meditation IN HER WORDS: As a child, I had an experience of not being seen nor heard hiding behind the curtain for fear of what might happen if I shared my thoughts, feelings, emotions and spoke my innermost truths. All of these un-expressed thoughts, feelings, and emotions had to "go" and find a voice somewhere. My soul chose the seat of anger- the liver to scream out there and be heard, acknowledged and received. This led to a near "death" experience as a young adult. Through that powerful life-changing journey, I commanded to be shown another way to heal, transform and empower my life. Various alternative healing modalities literally showed up at my doorstep. Through the exploration of these alternative modes of healing, I found my voice and began sharing my truths, deep inner wisdom gleaned from my transformation....books, articles, sacred stories wrote themselves. Through the sharing of these deep inner truths, giving them a voice, it came into my awareness that the only One that could truly see me, hear me, love me, acknowledge me was myself. With no longer pointing fingers at my parents and others, casting blame for my experiences, all that interfered with allowing Self-Love, Self-acceptance, fell away. Today, I now experience a very different Mother- One that sees me, loves, hears, acknowledges the gift that I am- reflecting the self-healing of the Mother-child relationship with-in me. All other relationships in my life began to reflect the Self-love, self-acceptance from with-in too, as All relationships whether that be to a significant other, friend, colleague, health, personal, spiritual growth, etc., is a relationship to One -Self. There is no Other- The Other is You. Other gifts and golden nuggets of wisdom that revealed themselves through this powerful journey of Self-Love, of allowing and giving myself permission to love and accept myself, having compassion for All of my experiences, was the awareness that I am and We are the Master Creators of our reality and that we can transform our lives, integrate lessons in the moment so that energy does not get trapped in the body to manifest as disharmony - physical, mental-emotional...or any other form-- rather through Self-realization -integrating lessons and healing by simply having the pure intent of calling the wisdom forth. In this way, we no longer repeat the pattern or create other experiences to learn the lesson. Additionally, by sharing the wisdom gleaned, we All heal. Healing for One is healing for All. "May We All live from the Sacred Heart, through the Sacred heart, As the Sacred Heart, through every thought, word and deed and integrate through Self-realization."  She came out as a lesbian after being raised Mormon, getting married and having a child - with Amber Ezell | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:52

Amber and I discuss  starting a business, fighting depression, living abroad, getting married, being a lesbian, getting divorced and living her truth. IN AMBERS WORDS I am in a place of life in which I am so proud that I am finally living my truth. It has been a rocky road, mainly due to me trying to fight my inner authentic self. I was born and raised in South Orange County, California. I was also raised in a very conservative, Mormon family, where doing what was "right" was always the most important- far before being authentic. I am the oldest of four kids in my family, meaning I have always been the one with the hardest expectations placed on me and on myself.  I went to Cal State University, Long Beach for my undergraduate degree. I developed an intense attraction to my first roommate in college but didn’t know what it meant. I admitted in my journal all of the feelings I was experiencing and even wrote “I might be a lesbian” but somehow talked myself out of that crazy idea. I decided I wanted a family and kids and didn’t see how that could be possible.  I studied abroad in Granada Spain for a year. I learned Spanish as well as how to be on my own in a foreign country. I got through depression and home-sickness the first couple months through intensive journaling and embracing Spanish culture and language. I got married and had a child and then the realization that I wasn't living my truth hit me. Now,  I have a four-year-old daughter and am a full-time portrait and wedding photographer. I started photographing families and weddings when I was staying at home with our daughter when she was an infant. The last couple of years have been a crazy quest to live my truth. I finally admitted to myself that I am gay and could not continue to stay married to a man.  I decided to go full-time with my business that I hadn't had the time to nurture over the last couple years. I feel now I am finally living congruent to who I am in every way. I have given into who I am. I am a gay woman. I am a Photographer. I am a Mother. I am a Creative. I am an Entrepreneur.  FIND HER HERE: facebook.com/amberezellphotography amberezellphotography.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message

Living with a diagnosed narcissist, being stalked and terrorized to an author helping you get over your abusive ex - with Suzanna Quintana | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:10:08

Published author of the book "You're Still That Girl: Get Over Your Abusive Ex For Good" Suzanna discusses what it was like living with a diagnosed narcissist, being stalked, cyberstalked, and terrorized. She's open about her recovery and healing process and shares her story with others to be a beacon of light for women who are living the same hell that she lived. Suzanna offers a way to the light and the life they deserve.  www.suzannaquintana.com 1) https://www.elephantjournal.com/2015/10/understanding-the-language-of-narcissistic-abuse/ 2) https://www.elephantjournal.com/2016/07/what-ive-learned-about-surviving-emotional-abuse/?fbclid=IwAR2kXQJLre9iN3m1soU0LPTSVX0UB_yDoGXEWxMig0rKmJi4SzvAjvWZEoE 3) https://medium.com/@SuzannaQuintana www.facebook.com/suzannaquintana In her words: OH SUZANNA Don't you cry for me. There was no Hollywood ending when I decided to leave my abusive marriage and the man whom I had devoted my life to, had children with, loved beyond measure, and who was a diagnosed Narcissist. There was no Angela Bassett moment in Waiting to Exhale when she packs up her cheating husband's clothes into his BMW, pours gasoline all over it, then stands back, lights a cigarette, and watches it go up in flames from her tossed match. I often wish I had a story like that to tell, but the fact is that leaving the darkness and finding your way to the light is a much more complex journey than that, healing is not linear and doesn't allow you to travel from A to Z, which is the reason most victims return to their abuser (as I did) many times over. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message

IN HER WORDS: I came to the US at 15 alone to pursue the American Dream. I am 34 now and a single parent with a 9-year-old daughter. I went through a divorce, abuse, trauma, several heartbreaks, losses, immigration, depression, anorexia, bulimia, body shaming and I am a fighter, an ironwoman, as my father and an ex liked to call me and still standing! I am still going through heartbreak as my last boyfriend of 5 years left me to pursue fun and other women. I met him during my divorce. I love entertainment. I am an entertainment journalist, a publicist, and editor and I have interviewed a lot of celebrities and covered the 2019 Oscars. I want to empower women who have been abused, left, oppressed and be their voice for change. I have seen my mother oppressed growing up and still do, I have been through it with my father, men I dated, men in business and I worked with. As women, we have to always fight against being oppressed and objectified by men and that has been my life’s fight and the one I got most wounds in.  A financial planner with ease of working with money, so she learned how to help others with money behaviors and launched her business - with Christine Teh | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:45

When it comes to finances, Christine doesn't think she has really struggled. Some people have gifts in certain things and she's just naturally great with money. That's how she became a finance coach since there are not a lot of people in her area who want to teach people about money. They care most about people who already have investable assets. Christine wanted to learn about money and manage it herself. She just couldn't find one in her area so she decided to be that coach - after learning herself to be even better with money.  She's also learned that a lot of people's money behaviors stem from the past so she also helps with money mindset and behaviors as well.  The difference between Christine and other financial advisors other than her coaching? She was a blast to chat with! I love helping people feel more at ease about their finances. Whether I am helping them figure out how to get out of debt, teaching them how to budget and learn investment, or assisting with retirement planning or tax planning. I also fell in love with the area of tax preparation and tax planning while volunteering for VITA(Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). My volunteer work as well as my clients asking many tax questions encouraged me to pursue becoming an Enrolled Agent. As such, I will also be able to offer tax consulting and preparation as well by 2020. I am very excited about this journey. If you would like to find out how I can help you, you are welcome to schedule a 15-minute video chat with me to discuss where you are in your personal financial journey.  A child connected to everything, to harsh physical and emotional lessons that took it away from her and her journey back to herself including a vow of peace – with Erica Risberg | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:42

Erica started out in this glorious world knowing she was connected to everything. She talked with animals, plants, trees - the whole thing. She was also given a couple of harsh physical and emotional experiences that knocked her out of that. Born with a dislocated hip, and in traction at 6 months and in a body cast for 18 months by the time she was 1. Lots of trauma AND she can walk normally, so while she's had to deal with the healing of those emotional wounds, she's grateful for it. The second was losing my grandfather when she was 10 who was the one person in life who saw her. After he died, she went into a serious pattern of coping and hiding, as she lived with emotionally underdeveloped people. The triumph is that she took a vow of peace a mere 4 years ago because she snapped and was sick of the violence in the world, and that's led her on a crazy deep spiritual path to uncovering and healing all of the ways she's hidden herself and getting reconnected to where she was when she started out, except now, she's got kickass healing tools to navigate the world more easily!   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/erica.risberg Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/ELRATITHOL/eid=ARC4D8YwBpOXZ1hMhrjmfyRyPfLjUpmzADacJ4YHSZhxFSuWti16lHiaSfYQ7rK5e20bZBFOnO20hqn0 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ericarisberg/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/EricasVOs Instagram - drericarisberg   Website: https://allthingsinthenameoflove.com IN HER WORDS: Some people would define me as a historian due to my Ph.D. in Cultural History, others would say that I am a voice-over professional due to my work experiences, and others would say that I am a lover of dogs.  Like you, I’m a compilation of my experiences, biases, and beliefs.  The way that I would describe myself is an ardent student of life. I came into this life wanting to know the answers to the pervasive question, why.  Why do our biases and beliefs contribute to our developing personalty when really, we all want the same things – peace, love and prosperity?  Why is fear such a stumbling block that seems so pervasive on our quest for peace, love and prosperity? Well, since I know how to professionally research and am a professional voice recorder, it seemed natural to blend these talents to share with you what I have learned from worldwide thought leaders so we both can draw conclusions from our critical thinking skills on our quest to living a more peaceful, loving and prosperous life. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message

Reverse speech warned him about his summer, he still served jail time for false criminal allegations for possession of marijuana, then wrote two books, and works to help others - with Joshua Schmude | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:47

Prior to this interview, I read links Joshua sent about his criminal charges, the "crackpot crackdown" of the town he was arrested in and how often they charged people with fabricated charges. In his words to me about his incredible story: Long story short I got a reversal (backwards message/reverse speech) in January of 2008 that said 'summer of shame, let's miss it'. About 4 months later in May of the same year, I got pulled over in Edna, a small Texas town notorious for really shady stuff, you can view a 12 page expose article about this town and prosecutor published in the Austin Chronicle here: https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.austinchronicle.com/news/2005-10-21/301887/andsa=Dandust=1572112677982000andusg=AOvVaw0lAcN-nAgGv0mJ1PWKGANy (https://www.austinchronicle.com/news/2005-10-21/301887/) I got pulled over and arrested for possession of Marijuana when there was no Marijuana. I decided to fight the misdemeanor and they dropped the misdemeanor and charged me with a 3rd-degree felony, Tampering w/Physical Evidence. I took it to trial and they gave me 10 years in prison for "eating a joint." Although my case sounds completely absurd, this has been a common occurrence in the US for decades. You can read the appellate brief of my case here: https://www.google.com/url?q=https://law.justia.com/cases/texas/thirteenth-court-of-appeals/2014/13-12-00320-cr.htmlandsa=Dandust=1572112677982000andusg=AOvVaw1_wth51i3aIKdaqfJvhHJD (https://law.justia.com/cases/texas/thirteenth-court-of-appeals/2014/13-12-00320-cr.html) Getting that reversal 4 months before this happened blew my mind as it was definitely a shameful summer. After that happened, I decided to write my book 'Reverse Speech In Theory and Practice: How To Use Your Unconscious Mind To Predict The Outcome Future Events'. Crazy how what seems like a tragedy can actually be a blessing :) IN HIS WORDS: An indie author who's published two books, Reverse Speech in Theory and Practice: How To Use Your Unconcious Mind To Predict The Outcome Of Future Events and 40 Ways To Making Cash In 30 Days.  Coming out as a lesbian in high school made it easier to find strength when she was diagnosed with a progressive neuromuscular disease she watched her Mom die from - with Leslie Krongold | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:06:52

Leslie and I discussed how she "came out" in high school, which set the stage for her being a strong woman who could handle what life dished out. Her Mom was diagnosed with a genetic condition in 1990 and passed away in 1992 at the age of 55, with brain and lung cancer, so there was never clear information for Leslie to fully understand the genetic condition. This genetic disease is a progressive neuromuscular disease and Leslie was diagnosed in her mid-30's. Fortunately, Leslie had adopted a radical self-care practice, as her disease has no cure or treatment. Diet, exercise, attitude, and relaxation has helped her live a full and more healthy lifestyle, already outliving her Mom by two years and counting.  She has watched others with the disease die, and by all accounts, she herself should have died already. We openly discussed wills, health directives, and different ways to handle death. website: http://glasshalffull.online/ Twitter: @Leslie_GHF Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glasshalffullonline LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lesliekrongold/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GlassHalfFullOnline/ In her words: In Episode #1 of the Glass Half Full podcast, you’ll learn more about me and the foundation for this blog and podcast. But, for now… I was born and raised in South Florida. I left as soon as I could; heat and humidity have never agreed with me. I started my college years in New York City! A great place to live when you’re young. Looking for excitement, I moved to Northern California just in time for the Loma Prieta earthquake. I worked for a while in documentary filmmaking and eventually focused my career on educational multimedia. Hand stiffness led me to see a neurologist and through a rather brief diagnostic odyssey, I was told I have a rare genetic condition called myotonic dystrophy (DM). The multi-systemic nature of DM and its gradual progression has changed my life. Yet I often experience this as a bittersweet turn of events. Had I not been diagnosed early enough I may have wasted more time; now I am very intentional, mindful, and appreciative of life’s many joys. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message

After being married a couple times she found love at 62, had her doctorate, wrote a book about it and helps other - with Joan Bragar | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:57

After being married a couple of times, Joan is now happily married at age 62. She wrote a book, Never Too Late for Love (on Amazon) to capture her experience and lessons learned to pay it forward for others. Joan is a good storyteller and very funny.  She's enthusiastic about life and continues learning and teaching after a Masters and Doctorate from Harvard. She spent 15 years teaching at Boston University on Leadership. With 3 of her own divorces, she and I chat about online dating (and dating in general) over 50. I LOVED connecting with Joan - she is fantastic! YouTube: https://youtu.be/HYlDSQhMwpA Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/joanbragar Www. It’s inevitable that life will force you to face challenges and transitions that are seemingly unsolvable. I knew that this is the one life I had to live, and that if there was something that could be learned that would make my life great, I wanted to learn that. So I dedicated myself to transforming my life: from sadness as a single mother to great joy as a wife and matriarch of a large and expanding family. from not knowing where to work and contribute my talents to being a global consultant, coach, and professor of leadership. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message
