I decided to fight the misdemeanor and they dropped the misdemeanor and charged me with a 3rd-degree felony, Tampering w/Physical Evidence. I took it to trial and they gave me 10 years in prison for "eating a joint." Although my case sounds completely absurd, this has been a common occurrence in the US for decades.
