Week 15 Preview: Big injuries at the wrong time, and dreadful sits-starts for the semifinals | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:53:48

One of the best feelings ever is to know you’re going into the fantasy football playoffs with a completely healthy lineup. Unfortunately, the way Week 14 went, it’s hard to have a completely healthy team right now. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss all those injury losses and more in the latest fantasy football podcast. The Philadelphia Eagles — who are trying to not only make the playoffs but beat out the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East crown — lost Alshon Jeffery to IR and Nelson Agholor’s status is up in the air for Week 15 against Washington. Now, their wide receiver corps is reduced to JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward Jr., someone named Robert Davis and ... who knows. Washington isn’t scot-free either, as Derrius Guice — who was showing off his potential in previous weeks — was placed on IR again with a sprained MCL. (2:00) Two fantasy studs in Mike Evans and Marvin Jones were both lost for the season. Targets galore for Kenny Golladay and Chris Godwin, respectively, although fantasy managers should take note that Jameis Winston has been playing with a fracture in his hand. (8:40) Next up, Liz and Matt discuss some of the worst players they’re being forced to start in the semifinals, along with some of the better players they might have no choice but to bench! (21:30) Liz and Matt then look towards Week 15 and tell you the one thing you should look for in each game.  Week 14 Recap: How the NFL playoff race is affecting your fantasy playoffs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:36:26

Sadly, we regret to inform you that the Patriots' dynasty is over. Kaput. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the state of the Patriots dynasty and much more in the latest fantasy podcast. Speaking of contenders, they are few and far between in the NFL while there are a plethora of eliminated (or close to eliminated) teams. Yet, some of those teams are still putting up a fight. Liz and Matt talk about which teams are frisky (like the Broncos, Falcons, and Colts) and which teams are packing it in (like the Browns, Panthers, and Jaguars). (02:39) The New England Patriots lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, 23-16. The Texans beat them, 28-22, in Week 13. And we all know what the Ravens did to them a couple weeks ago. That’s three AFC contenders the Pats lost to. So ... what do we make of this? (23:29) Elsewhere in the NFL, the aforementioned Texans (after that impressive win over the Pats) were embarrassed in Week 15, 38-24, by Drew Lock and the Broncos. Now, Houston is in a virtual tie at the top of the AFC South with the Titans, who have been BALLIN. How will this battle play out in the coming weeks? (28:21) Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Week 14 was replete with injuries. Mike Evans, Jared Cook, DeVante Parker, and Derrius Guice all went down, among others. Liz and Matt discuss the ramifications of those losses.  Week 14 Preview: Playoff injury roundup, Eli's last ride and one thought for each game | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:28

Week 14. The start of the fantasy playoffs. Whether you made the tournament or are on the outside looking in, it’s been a wild, memorable season, and it’s safe to say that the best could be yet to come. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the start of the playoffs and the players you need to know about on the latest fantasy football podcast. Though the fantasy playoffs are set to begin for many leagues in Week 14, that doesn’t mean they’re starting smoothly for every fantasy manager. Dalvin Cook suffered an injured shoulder on Monday night in Week 13, but does it mean Alexander Mattison will become more than just a stash (Cook did say he’ll be fine for Week 14)? (6:10) Marlon Mack returned to practice (11:35), and Kerryon Johnson is reportedly eyeing a return in Week 16 — but should you stash him for the fantasy championship? Also, TJ Hockenson is headed to the IR. We do some Lions talk to get you prepared for the playoffs. (15:00) Daniel Jones, is looking doubtful for Week 14 with an ankle sprain, so you know what that means: ELI IS BACK! Liz and Matt discuss the trickle-down effect for the Giants wideouts rest-of-season. (19:05) Liz and Matt then look towards Week 14 and tell you the one thing you should look for in each game (35:10), as well as some DFS bonus bargains (1:00:00).  Week 13 Recap: Turkey day leftovers & a week for the underdogs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:54:13

RIP to most Survivor entries. Our thoughts are with everyone who trusted Sam Darnold this week. Salute to those of you who trusted the likes of DeVante Parker and Derrius Guice in a must-win Week 13. Liz Loza & Matt Harmon discuss all those performances and more from a crazy Week 13 the latest fantasy football podcast. After recapping some of the Thanksgiving action (03:04), and the Ravens/49ers matchup of the day (14:04), Liz and Matt break down Sunday’s slate which was full of surprising underdog performances. Devlin “Duck” Hodges and Benny Snell helped take down the Browns. (18:05) The aforementioned Sam Darnold and the red-hot Jets? Embarrassed by the Bengals. (22:09) DeVante Parker LIT UP the Eagles (7 catches, 159 yards, 2 TDs). (28:50) Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry ruined many of the Colts’ playoff dreams. (32:13) Gardner Minshew took back his rightful place as the Jacksonville Jaguars' starting QB in an otherwise troubling loss to the Buccaneers (36:11) Derrius Guice went off (10 rushes, 129 yards, 2 TDs) in a huge upset over the Panthers. (40:57) Elsewhere in the NFL, Darwin Thompson finally gets an opportunity in KC, the Rams offense awoke in shocking fashion against the Cardinals, Drew Lock got a nice QB win in his first start and Green Bay found their WR2 -- all hail the Lazard King!  Week 13 Preview: Turkey day action and a MNF beat-down | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:31

Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are back with a special Wednesday edition of the fantasy football podcast, ahead of the turkey apocalypse otherwise known as Thanksgiving! [Play in Yahoo’s NFL $200K Baller. $10 entry fee and $20K to first place] But Thanksgiving is on Thursday, how about that you-know-what whoopin’ the Ravens put on the Rams on Monday night? Liz & Matt gush about Lamar, lament the Rams & preview the NFC West matchup between the Rams & Cardinals later in the week. Are we sure Arizona is the worst team in the division? (05:00) Back to the holiday spirit, our experts run through all the Turkey Day action, starting with ... ugh ... Bears vs. Lions. In the event that the questionable Jeff Driskel can’t take the field on Thursday, his backup is, and this is not a mistake, David Blough. Blerg. Is there anything positive to take away from this matchup. Our experts try to find the marshmallows in this rotten bowl of sweet potatoes. (09:05) They then move on to Buffalo vs. Dallas in what might be the most interesting matchup of the holiday. Both teams have been criticized for being weak against squads over .500. Which team will silence the doubters on Thursday? (12:01) Finally, our football dinner ends with a dessert of New Orleans vs. Atlanta. Can New Orleans prove their surprising loss to the dirty birds two weeks ago was just an aberration? Or will this flightless Falcons team put up one last fight against a division rival before they pack it in for the season? (19:03) After the Turkey Day discussion, Liz and Matt look towards the weekend and preview each game from the remainder of Week 13 and tell you the one thing you should look for in each game.  Week 12 Recap: Backup RBs go off, more Wentz worry and is it N'Keal Harry time? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:53:08

Sure, Christian McCaffrey and Nick Chubb had big days, as expected, but a lot of backup running backs had memorable outings in Week 12. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss the captivating performances from Rashaad Penny, Latavius Murray, Qadree Ollison, Benny Snell and more in the latest fantasy football podcast. (01:25) Liz and Matt hit mostly every game from Week 12’s Sunday slate, including fantasy owners finally getting a solid look at first round Patriots WR N’Keal Harry. Should fantasy owners invest in the rookie or are there better options in the depleted New England receiver corps? (13:25) Elsewhere in the NFL, we witnessed another disappointing outing by Carson Wentz. So, for the umpteenth time, what’s wrong with Wentz? (21:28) The Browns went off in the Week 12, as everybody with fantasy value — Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt — ate, while on the other side, DeVante Parker turned 11 targets into six catches for 91 yards (for what it’s worth). (31:45) Oakland got caught in a classic west-to-east trap game in East Rutherford. Matt & Liz take a look at Sam Darnold’s performance and the Jets’ light schedule to round out the season (36:30) Don’t get your ponytail in a bunch, but Derrick Henry had himself a day against the Jaguars and Leonard Fournette got into the end-zone twice as well. Could Ryan Tannehill be the answer in Tennessee and man, it definitely seems like Foles is not in Jacksonville. (41:58) John Brown is becoming (or rather, has become) one of the safest wide receivers to roster in fantasy (48:12), Mason Rudolph got benched one week after you-know-what, only to watch the Duck, Devlin Hodges, come in and help the Steelers get the W (51:30). Liz and Matt discuss all that and more fantasy tidbits from Week 12’s games.  Week 12 Preview: Strong second-half rookies, are the Falcons good now and is Rivers washed? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:52:41

Are we seeing the end of Philip Rivers? On a scale of 1-gross, how bad was Goff vs. Trubisky last week? Oh, and what’s going on with Nelson Agholor’s supposed burner account? Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss that and much more on the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast, starting with the...shall we say...rough outing between the Rams and Bears last Sunday night. (1:30) On Monday night, the Chiefs beat the Chargers in Mexico City, but most notable were Philip Rivers' 4 picks. Is the veteran quarterback nearing the end? (7:10) Elsewhere in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been holding their own even though they’re dealing with a plethora of injuries to their top fantasy weapons. JuJu Smith-Schuster has already been ruled out, James Conner is questionable, and Diontae Johnson is in concussion protocol. Have the surprisingly .500 Steelers finally about collapse under the weight of injuries?(10:30) Speaking of surprises, the lowly Falcons have won two games in a row by a margin of 55-12. What's behind Atlanta's sudden resurgence, and should we pay attention to this team in the second half? (16:25) Next, Liz and Matt discuss some rookies who could provide strong second-halves, which could prove very useful in fantasy. Names like Noah Fant, Hunter Renfrow, Deebo Samuel (who could be in for some positive touchdown regression), Darius Slayton and Andy Isabella may be of potential interest if they're available in your league or if you're thinking about keeping them (21:40). After discussing all that, our experts give one bit of advice for every game on the Week 12 slate (32:40), as well as some DFS bargains and fades (51:45). Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 12 NFL $200K Baller daily fantasy contest. Just a $10 entry fee! $20,000 to the first place winner!  Week 11 Recap: Kyler is heating up, Lamar is on fire and what's wrong with Watson & Wentz? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:55:57

Four passing touchdowns. 222 passing yards. 86 yards on the ground. 4 touchdowns. Just another day in the office for Lamar Jackson. The MVP front-runner (don't @ us, Russell Wilson lovers) is continuing his hot streak and despite losing this weekend, Kyler Murray is showing strong flashes that he could be Lamar Jackson (or Patrick Mahomes, or Cam Newton) 2.0. Matt Harmon is joined by Dalton Del Don on a Week 11 Sunday night to discuss the results of the too-close-for comfort San Francisco 49ers win over the Arizona Cardinals (02:30) and the blowout win for the Baltimore Ravens over the Houston Texans (07:45). Later in the show, our experts hit the rest of the Sunday games including: - New England @ Philadelphia: What's wrong with Wentz? (19:35) - New Orleans @ Tampa Bay: The Saints get right against the Bucs (21:15) - Denver @ Minnesota: The Vikings finally allow a TD to a TE (29:30) - Atlanta @ Carolina: The end of Riverboat Ron? (31:00) - Dallas @ Detroit: It's a Bo Scarbrough revenge game! (36:30) - Cincinnati @ Oakland: Perhaps Ryan Finley isn't the answer (40:30) - Jacksonville @ Indianapolis: Marlon Mack fractures his hand (44:45) - Buffalo @ Miami: Josh Allen finds his deep ball (52:00) - New York Jets @ Washington: gross (52:25) Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.  Week 11 Preview: Nick Foles is back, RBs to stash and WR3s to stream | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:23

Well, as fun as Minshew Mania was, it has indeed come to an end. Nick Foles is returning to the Jaguars this week, but what does it mean for the fantasy values of Jaguar studs like Leonard Fournette and D.J. Chark? (1:10) Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss that and much more on the latest Yahoo Fantasy Football Podcast. Elsewhere in the NFL, two of the top tight ends in fantasy won’t be on the field in Week 11. Austin Hooper will now be out for a month, and considering he’d been the top tight end in fantasy, we feel your pain, fantasy managers. Is Luke Stocker a viable fantasy option now? George Kittle is set to miss another game, and unfortunately, it’s against the Cardinals, the team which has been friendliest to opposing TEs this season. Liz and Matt seek out TE dart-throws in the wake of these injuries for Week 11. (5:45) As you very well know, it’s #HandcuffSZN, but beyond that, Liz and Matt list the running backs fantasy managers should be stashing — regardless of whether they’re rostering the lead backs in the same offense. (15:05) Next up, our experts talk about the random group of wideouts in the top 30-50 who seem to produce week in and week out, and which of them are worth streaming based on their matchups. (23:40) After discussing all that, our experts give one bit of advice for every game one the Week 11 slate (35:55).  Week 10 Recap: Barkley, Kamara, Johnson falter & a rare O.J. Howard sighting | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:51:05

Alvin Kamara. Saquon Barkley. David Johnson. There is no doubt that these three names were among the first six or seven picks in your league. Yet today, Kamara was only RB14 on the week and Barkley & Johnson...you don't want to know (1:21). Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss these star running back performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast. Moving from the broad strokes of disappointing RBs to recapping the Sunday games: - O.J. Howard made an extremely rare appearance in the Buccaneers' win over the Cardinals (19:26) - Is it Rashard Higgins time in Cleveland after the Browns beat the Bills? (24:50)  - Ryan Tannehill turned some heads in Tennessee's upset victory over the Chiefs (27:50) - Taylor Gabriel finally found the end zone in Lions @ Bears (34:30) - Baltimore thrashed the Bengals as Lamar Jackson continues to be the most exciting player in the NFL (37:45) - Don't let the Steelers fool you, their offense is still bad (41:30) - Did Kalen Ballage establish himself as the starter in Miami?  Week 10 Preview: Kareem Hunt is back – why you should avoid the hype | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:02:07

We have reached Week 10 of the fantasy football season — are you tired yet? Hey, fantasy fatigue is a real thing, and Liz Loza and Matt Harmon are here to help you get through it in the latest fantasy football podcast. It’s been an eventful week across the NFL. Cam Newton’s season is over, as the Panthers placed their (former) starting quarterback on IR (1:20). Evan Engram is now in a walking boot ahead of a same-stadium rivalry game between the Jets and Giants (8:55). Kareem Hunt is set to play vs. Bills after serving his suspension – what does this mean for Nick Chubb (11:45), and finally, quarterback god Patrick Mahomes is set to make his return from injury, and it begs the question whether his return will positively or negatively affect Damien Williams (17:50). After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 10 matchups, including a pair of awesome primetime NFC matchups in Vikings/Cowboys (20:35) and Seahawks/49ers (25:10). After that they preview the rest of the Sunday Week 10 slate (29:00) They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (59:00).  Week 9 Recap: Time for a QB change in PIT and CHI? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:48:46

There was a lot of unimpressive quarterback play early in Week 9, but few signal-callers disappointed more than Mason Rudolph and Mitchell Trubisky. It’s not that they played terribly, but you just always seem to expect more from these passers considering their respective situations. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss these performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast. No one realistically expected Mason Rudolph to be Big Ben 2.0, but considering that he has the No. 1 pass-blocking unit protecting him and strong weapons on the outside, his subpar performances aren’t cutting it in either fantasy or reality. In fact, if not for Jacoby Brissett going down with a knee injury early, the result of this game could have been different. And speaking of Brissett, Liz and Matt discuss the fantasy fallout of the Colts weapons — like Zach Pascal, who shined in T.Y. Hilton’s absence — if Brissett has to miss time and Brian Hoyer is the starting QB for Indy (1:15). If you think Rudolph is sub-par, you can only imagine what Liz and Matt think about Mitchell Trubisky (11:15). Another game, another Bears loss, another crappy performance by Mitch. Oh, and DeSean Jackson, who just came back, got hurt again. Just horrible luck. Elsewhere in the NFL, Damien Williams reappeared, rushing for over 125 yards while also out-touching LeSean McCoy (22:30). On the other side of the field, Adam Thielen re-injured his hamstring (but Stefon Diggs didn’t produce in his stead, unfortunately). Devin Singletary may have finally asserted himself over Count Dracula I mean Frank Gore against Washington, as the electrifying rookie went off to the tune of 95 rush yards and 45 receiving yards (along with a touchdown on the ground). His older counterpart across the field, Adrian Peterson, had a solid game as well, rushing for over 100 yards (30:40). In the late afternoon, Russell Wilson mustered his usual magic in the Seahawks' overtime win over the Buccaneers (36:20). In a game where Tyler Lockett looked incredible & D.K. Metcalf broke out, fantasy owners must consider that Seattle added Josh Gordon over the weekend. What can we expect out of Gordon on the 7-2 Seahawks? Oakland's win over Detroit was about as exciting a fantasy matchup as we had this weekend (41:30). Our experts break down the Raiders' win and emergence as an offensive powerhouse. Liz and Matt then continue their Week 9 recap with some quick fantasy hitters (45:15), like Kenyan Drake’s raucous Cardinals debut, Nick Foles impending return to Jacksonville, and Preston Williams’ league-winning potential (oh, and the Jets are bad).  Week 9 Preview: RBs to stash in the second-half and goodbye to Dalton & Flacco | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:58:34

With Liz Loza out Halloween-ing, Matt Harmon is joined by Yahoo’s very own Scott Pianowski for the latest fantasy football podcast. And with Halloween on the mind, there are some scary situations in the NFL, starting the Steelers backfield, which is a true house of horrors right now. James Conner, Jaylen Samuels, and Benny Snell are all either dealing with injuries or trying to return from them. Seems like Samuels is ready to go, but nonetheless, Scott and Matt break down these situations (3:20). From scary RBs to terrifying QBs, we got confirmation that Kyle Allen is returning under center in Carolina for at least one more week, even though it seems Cam Newton will be making his grand return soon (8:10), Andy Dalton was outright benched in favor of Ryan Finley for the Bengals (16:25), and an injured Joe Flacco will give way to Brandon Allen at QB for the Broncos (21:00). Week 9 marks the beginning of #HandcuffSZN, as a prime second-half strategy is for fantasy managers to start adding handcuffs to elite running backs (23:00) Some options include: Alexander Mattison, Gus Edwards, Ryquell Armstead, Tony Pollard, Darrell Henderson, and Reggie Bonnafon. Mark Walton is another option worth adding who is actually a starter, and maybe even Darwin Thompson is a sneaky add? Scott and Matt also discuss the value of Raiders players (like Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller) in the second half (36:25), as well as why you should be caring about second-half strength of schedule (40:05). After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 9 matchups in Chicago vs. Philadelphia and Jacksonville vs. Houston (45:25). They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (52:35). Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 9 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest.  Week 8 Recap: Sanders & Montgomery finally emerge and Danny Dimes is your QB1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:44:08

You know that moment when that player you’ve been waiting to go off, finally goes off? We had a few of those on Sunday in Week 8. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon talk about those performances and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast. Above all, the most “FINALLY!” moments of the week have to go to rookie running backs, David Montgomery (1:00) and Miles Sanders (5:50). You wanna talk about waiting for guys to go off, look no further. Montgomery (31 total touches, 147 total yards, 1 TD) and Sanders (6 total touches, 118 total yards, 1 TD, 1 2-point conversion) had great days, but the question Liz and Matt try to answer is: Are these performances for real? Can we trust them going forward? The Bears' las Elsewhere in Week 8, Drew Brees returned but it was Latavius Murray who won the day (11:00). After taking over for an injured Alvin Kamara the last two weeks, Murray has been EATING, posting back-to-back 25+ fantasy point outings. That said, the party could end for Murray, as the Saints will go on bye in Week 9 and Kamara is expected to return to action in Week 10. On the other side of the field, Chase Edmonds, coming off a shocking performance in Week 8, got hurt against the Saints, but it’ll be hard to trust any Zona RB against the undefeated 49ers in Week 9. Mike Evans exploded in Week 8 (198 yards, 2 TD). The same can’t be said, unfortunately, for Tennessee's wideouts (16:20). Most of us expected the likes of Corey Davis and A.J. Brown to continue their growth alongside Ryan Tannehill, but our expectations were not met (understatement). After all that FAAB was used on Ty Johnson, the Lions continue to prove to us that their backfield is actually a minefield. Well, at least Matthew Stafford and Daniel Jones both had excellent fantasy days (22:20). The Atlanta Falcons haven't missed a step (for better or worse). With Matt Schaub under center, he came close to replicating Matt Ryan's stats but have no fear, the Dirty Birds are still in the gutter (29:10). How about those 49ers? Tevin Coleman went absolutely nuts (13 touches, 118 total yards, FOUR total touchdowns) and newcomer Emmanuel Sanders caught a touchdown on the 9ers first offensive drive. On the other side, Kyle Allen could do nothing against the vaunted San Francisco defense — so we can expect Cam Newton to return to the starting role soon when he’s ready (31:15). Liz & Matt wrap up the show with the late-breaking news that J.J. Watt will miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle (39:5). With an already shaky defense, how will the Texans adjust and could Gardner Minshew lead the Jags in a repeat stellar performance next week against Houston?  Week 8 Preview: Trade season, IR season, and how those top-ADP players are doing | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:54:30

With the NFL trade deadline less than a week away, some teams have already begun to make moves. Liz Loza and Matt Harmon discuss those trades and much more in the latest fantasy football podcast. Mohamed Sanu and Emmanuel Sanders are both on new teams, and in better situations, too. Sanu is now on the undefeated Patriots, who lost WR Josh Gordon to the IR (0:50), and Sanders is on the undefeated 49ers (7:30). Liz and Matt discuss those trades and how they impact the fantasy landscape. Gordon wasn't the only big name fantasy player to hit the injured reserve. The Detroit Lions placed RB Kerryon Johnson on the IR and our experts diagnose whether Ty Johnson, the most added player in Yahoo leagues, is the answer (13:00). Earlier in the week, Yahoo Fantasy’s very own James Koh tweeted out a graphic of where the top players in ADP currently stand through seven weeks of the season and ... well ... it’s not pretty. To think, the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Joe Mixon, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Saquon Barkley are nowhere near the top-20 at their position is unreal. Liz and Matt break down this stunning group and offer up some suggestions for dealing with the reality of this situation in fantasy (19:00). After discussing all that, our experts preview some interesting Week 8 matchups in Tampa Bay vs. Tennessee (the Ryan Tannehill era is here!) and Philadelphia (can the Eagles get it together on offense?) vs. Buffalo (37:40). They then wrap up the show giving some daily fantasy bargains and fades for the week (46:45). Oh, and don’t forget to join the Week 8 NFL $250K Baller daily fantasy contest.
