We’re in the waning days of May, but it’s never too early to talk fantasy football, and one of the most enjoyable aspects of the offseason is being able to mock draft. There are 32 teams in the NFL, yet how many of them boast a true WR1? Sure, the Texans have DeAndre Hopkins, the Falcons Julio Jones, but not every team is so lucky. Matt Harmon and Liz Loza address this and more in this week’s fantasy football podcast episode. You know, for a moment there, it seemed like the New York Jets were actually moving in the right direction. Their young quarterback, Sam Darnold, showed signs of potential greatness last season. They hired an offensive-minded head coach in Adam Gase. They signed Le’Veon Bell. The defense looks promising. And then they fired their general manager and vice president of player personnel. The 2019 NFL Draft is right around the corner. Last week, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon broke down the biggest names at quarterback and tight end, and this week it’s time to look into fantasy football’s glamour position: Running Backs. In this week’s fantasy football podcast however, Matt is joined by Eric Edholm, who returns to Yahoo as our NFL Draft Analyst! Now, we all know about the cringeworthy showing by the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl. Quarterback Jared Goff could pretty much do nothing against the New England Patriots. Now, it seems like the Rams don’t really know when they’ll extend Goff. As the last puzzle pieces of free agency come into place, Matt Harmon and Liz Loza start off the show this week by addressing a very serious voicemail from a distraught Giants fan driven to the brink of despair by GM Dave Gettleman (3:00).
