GC13 and David give the rub to Infinity Train in a very spoiler-heavy discussion of the ten-episode miniseries we’ve seen so far. Have you seen Infinity Train? You really should. GC13 and David discuss two possible gem types for the villain shown in the trailer for Steven Universe: The Movie. In Morganite’s favor we have how long ago the gem type was first mentioned on the show, her status as a beryl, and the penchant people have for fashioning “red morganites” into hearts. In Garnet’s favor we have the more recent mentioning of Pyropes in Together Alone, seemingly shared stretching powers, and an interesting contrast between garnet’s True Kinda Love and what Era Two Homeworld Gems stand for. GC13 and David discuss the Steven Universe panel at San Diego Comic Con 2019, uploaded for everyone in lovely quality. Though the fandom wants lots of spoiler questions answered they don’t ask about Lion—but they do ask about Pearl, giving us further clarification about how they are made. GC13, Isabelle, and David discuss the trailer for Steven Universe: The Movie, recently unveiled at San Diego Comic Con 2019. It’s just ninety seconds long and doesn’t even let us hear the villain’s voice or know her name (we choose “Bendy” for now), but boy does the trailer give us a lot to chew on. Are you ready for predictions on how the movie will end? Sophia couldn’t record this week but she would like to point out that in part of the trailer you can see what seems to be part of the new intro (at least the gang sings “we are” together).

GC13, Isabelle, Sophia, and David dig into the secrets that can be gleaned from a movie poster. (Quite a lot of stuff, actually.) The time skip has been confirmed, and puberty has definitely been kinder to Steven in these two years than it was when he briefly experienced it in So Many Birthdays. We also wait eagerly to hear the voice of this villainous Gem (already dubbed XJ9).

GC13 and David discuss the Craig of the Creek episode Bring Out Your Beast, the card game episode of the series. If you played collectible card games when you were a kid then this episode was made for you. Heck, if you like Mark then this episode was made for you (alright, maybe not). Alas, poor Turner. This ending is so sad; Alexis, play Despacito.

GC13 and David discuss the OK K.O.! episode Do You Have Any More in the Back?, the first in glorb trees, and the first in initiative rolls. Does Rad grow as a character over the course of the series? Did this episode plant the seed for any growth? Early in the series he’s quite two-dimensional, but when did he start to open up? Enid definitely brings the ninjality in this episode though. Walking through the halls of the Back and Down Down Down Back Down, however, you might also notice something amiss with the walls…

GC13, Isabelle, and David discuss Carton Network’s announcement that the upcoming Steven Universe movie will be a musical. Really, is anyone surprised by this news? No, the movie being a musical wasn’t obvious beforehand, but it does definitely fit with the series (and with the episode Mr. Greg in particular). Now we just need to wonder what the plot of the movie will be like, and who we get songs with who. And, as always, hopal for Opal.

GC13 and David discuss the Craig of the Creek episode Dog Decider, the first and final appearance of Brigid (with a D!). We had the choice to do a two-person podcast about the Steven Universe movie being a musical or about Dog Decider, and Fred chose Dog Decider. We don’t want any trouble with the Fredites, so we followed Fred’s advice. By the way, this is the second podcast episode with a number consisting of powers of two in sequence (2-4-8). Episode 4,816 hype?

GC13 discusses the OK K.O.! episode You Get Me (Wally the White’s episode!) K.O. (spoiler alert) proves himself to be both a go-getter and an Enid-getter, and Dendy accepts that she ‘s not adept as emotional issues (but still does her best analyzing more practical problems!). Really though, as a wizard you’d think Wally would be more wary of strong people who might have just voiced a reason to beat him up. We’ll chalk that one up to adrenaline (K.O. can be pretty scary when he’s accosting you!).

GC13 and David discuss the twenty-eighth issue of the current comic book series, and the end of this adventure of Lars and the Off Colors (and Stevonnie too!). Obviously as the discussion of the end of the four-issue adventure this episode will contain a lot of spoilers, but you’re probably either current with the series or okay with spoilers, aren’t you? That’s all the story arc stuff in the comics for now, it seems: when issue #29 comes out it will be that slice-of-life cheering up Amethyst story that was accidentally listed as the summary for this issue.

GC13 and David discuss the OK K.O.! episode I Am Dendy, the first appearance of everyone’s favorite kappa. Dendy is a darling right from the start, and we know she becomes a great friend, but let’s not pretend that she doesn’t have a… Practical streak in her first introduction. Thankfully she was able to make it up to Mr. Logic, then not kill him afterwards. Let’s all cheer for Dendy!

GC13 and David discuss the Craig of the Creek episode Sunday Clothes, the best way to wear your Sunday clothes on a Saturday. We don’t know exactly how old J.P. and the gang are, and we don’t know who Kit sells the golf balls she trades for to, but we know that Kelsey is a master of the sword. J.P. also has a wonderful, supportive sister, even if it stinks that she has to work on Saturday. Hang in there Cousin Bobby.

GC13 and David discuss the newest Steven Universe graphic novel: Camp Pining Play. Peridot and Lapis decide to do a fan play of a Camp Pining Hearts fan fiction (made by none other than Lars), and shenanigans ensue. Can you imagine an episode summary more appropriate for an upcoming season six? In summary, Pearl is the best Paulette because she is the best, and where did Steven learn to roast hamburgers over a campfire?
