In the Author's Corner with Etienne

Summary: Hello, Friends and Visitors! We're are delighted to inform you that In the Author's Corner with Etienne is coming back home, effective the first of Dec 2020. As you might know, the devastation of dual-Hurricanes Irma and Maria knocked us off the air (with medical issues included), assigned me as a Crisis Counselor during the recovery phase, and awaking scheduling for my medical follow-ups! In the meanwhile, I have been preparing gifts and surprises for you, my Faithful Followers. More to come! (Want to be a guest? Then email me at emailme7261@gmail.com) ************************* We regret that, since the devastation of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, our studio and related technology have been down. Our intentions were to keep you posted on our status. That, unfortunately, has not occurred until now, Sept. 5, 2018. During the recovery process, I have been functioning as a Crisis Counselor, in a local nonprofit agency, funded by The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Most recently yours truly was promoted to Crisis Counselor Lead. This podcast will remain on hiatus until further notice. According to Jed, “Asking is also a skill that improves with practice. The authors [of the book, The Aladdin Factor, by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen] also make it clear that there is no formula for 100% asking success. And they [successful people] ask over and over again. My favorite takeaway from the book is the formula SW x4.” Let’s find out together what Jed has to say about asking for what we need. “Asking gives other people an opportunity to help. When we ask, we give others the opportunity to say Yes! When we ask, there is the possibility of moving toward our goals!” And those goals will help us in our faith, family, and friendship. Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or other favorite beverage, and join us every Monday morning! Now, according to Jed, “Walt Disney is a man who led with a limp. He didn’t deny his flaws, try to hide them, or pretend that they didn’t exist. His limp was there for the world to see. Yet, he succeeded anyway!” Jed’s curious what was on Walt’s mind when he spoke about his “kick in the teeth.” The best way to blog with a limp is to begin taking action. The first few steps are always the most difficult. Everything gets easier from there. Disney stated, “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” Momentum is like a steam-engine. At rest, a small, slanted block, under the front tire, will hold that engine in place. However, moving at full speed, that engine will crash through most any barrier. Let’s find out together what Jed has to say about how “leading with a limp will help us in our faith, family, and friendship. Visit Jed at: www.CoffeeShopConversations.com/How-to-Blog-with-a-Limp/
