Today will probably  be our last podcast under this title. Due to the nature of our discussions, on the Torah Teacher's Torah edition, we have caused a bit of a disturbance in the normal time slot. Due to this we are moving to a new programming title and time slot. The new program will be heavily noticed as being Contextual and not spiritual in it's reading and discussions of the text before us. So, for those who do listen to this podcast going forward, please look for our new Title and Programming information next week.  I will continue to use the TTRT Tags, so you can still find us with a search under TTRT for the new program.   Today, Yoel and I discuss the Shoftim and the Prophet that is to come.  Very good discussion with ooo so little time to discuss it in.

Today, the teachers wrap up the discussion of the Book of Matthew, chapter 12. They, and the text, go "full circle - from casting out demons, to the battlefield of spiritual warfare, to the issues of "signs" and authority, and words versus actions - and back again. If you're new to the idea of a return to the roots of Scripture, especially, don't miss this one.

Aug, 6 - 2013 How we interact with YHVH is reflected in how we relate with others: If we're obedient to His Torah we're blessed as a result. This requires us to LOVE our neighbors - So, no more strife, gossip, backbiting and rumor-mongering! That's a qalalah - (Hebrew for curse) and evidence that you're looking at the wrong mountain! News and commentary for Monday, 5 August, 2013.   As the scandals, treason, perfidy, and economic chicanery seems to build toward an inevitable climax, isn't it about time for a major propaganda smokescreen?  

This portion addresses a powerful spiritual law of our faith. We are not to follow our eyes, we are not do the right thing based on how we see it. Faith comes by hearing, not by sight. Moses instructs us to realize how God has put the blessing before us if we obey, and how the curse awaits us if we disobey. Moses also speaks of the future, to the day when God would choose a place for His name to reside. We are able to see this clearly now. The LORD chose the city of Jerusalem as the place where He placed His name, just as Moses said He would. Jerusalem is connected to the Torah, even though it was chosen in King David's day. Moses then describes five general areas of life where we must make choices in keeping His commandments. They include how we relate to others, what we consider as food, how we spend our money, how we esteem ourselves, and how we worship God. Those choices will either chart a course of obedience and blessing or, in going our own way, will lead to many troubles.
