 HNMS Cuppa Shebrews – 5/15/13 (Show 6) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:40:00

With co-hosts Kimberly Rogers and Teresa Casalino. Our guests for the show in order of appearance were Brenda Wheeler, Meira Pentermann and Jocelin Boutet. Our show started with singer and songwriter Brenda Wheeler. Brenda currently has 3 albums out with a 4th one expected (prayers requested :) ) sometime this year. Kimberly Rogers likened her singing to EmmyLou Harris. Personally I am not a big fan of country but this lady writes songs to the Great YHVH and of that I am a fan and listening to her sing was a pleasure! Check out her website brendawheeler.com/ or Monte's site https://lionlamb.net/cgi-bin/lion to listen to her songs and or buy them. We played “Awake" from her CD INTO MY HEART and "Adore" from her soon coming album tentatively called SPARROW.  Brenda gave a bit of background to the song "Awake" which you can also find on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFodPA9snHU . She was inspired while she thought of Mary & Martha waiting on the Lord after the death of Lazarus. Thank you Brenda for coming on the show. Your music honors the King and His Father and for that would be thanks enough, your voice though sweetened the whole offering! Our second guest was Meira Pentermann, author of Nine Tenths, Firefly Beach and Magic Mayonnaise Jar.  If you have not read Nine Tenths, I would recommend grabbing your Kindle or picking up the pb and settling in for a good read.  Available at  http://www.amazon.com/Meira-Pentermann/e/B002HML5SU/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0 . The book is entirely plausible and in fact, Meira researched into the Soviet Union and the history of that region to use the information for this book.  You can find out more at http://meirapentermann.com/ , or http://torchandsickle.wordpress.com/ .  Thanks for joining us Meira - let us know when you publish again!. We finished up the last hour with Jocelin Boutet.  Once again, an hour was too short but we sure did touch on a lot of subjects! Jocelin and her family are hosting PURIFIED 2013, a singles retreat for the Hebrew roots minded. Unfortunately the registration is now closed but use that as motivation to sign up now for next years gathering! http://www.purify2014.com/ . In addition to this retreat Jocelin keeps herself busy with a myriad of other labors; she administers several websites, assists with her own family's assembly, is going to school, bakes in her family's bakery, attends school, makes her own homeopathic products, assists on the home farm and writes articles that appear weekly and monthly! Whew! Well done servant!  Check out her website and that of her family's ministry for the articles and other information. We're looking forward to having you back on again with us soon, thank you for your time!!! http://www.standinginyhvhshand.org/ and http://yaakovsflock.org/

TTRT Torah Wednesday: Naso | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:39:32

Today Ira Michaelson and I stand in for Rod Bryant who is away for a family time of Joy. During Rod's absence our hearts grew fonder for him since he wanst here to help us discuss the Sota.  The woman of a jealous man who is required to drink of her judgement. Even in this moment of ultimate judgement, "Forgiveness" is still a choice. Listen in on how the Sota and Shavuot are more related than you might have considered beforehand.

TTRT Torah Wednesday: Addendum Jeremiah 3 and the “Divorce”. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:46

Today Ira Michaelson and I speak about listener comments concerning last week's program. In this addendum we cover Hosea 2, Jeremiah 3 and several other texts to uncover the "Parable" pictured within Hosea's "Poetic" language. Another great time of study.

 MFHL – BeMidbar | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:31

In The Wilderness! Wow! Seems that the majority of our lives are spent wandering in this dry, barren place. Yet, this Parsha - BeMidbar, teaches us how to find Living Water in the desert! In fact, YHVH brings His Bride to teach her how to become a vessel filled with His Word instead of remaining a barren wife! Yahshua echoes this sentiment when He declares that out of our bellies will flow rivers of living water! Stay tuned Torah Fans...

HNMS – How Should We Act Towards Judah? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:39:57

In this edition of the Morning Show, Chadbourne Zitek, David Mathews, and Wendell Prentice interview a friend and Jewish Messianic congregational leader Patrick Lumbroso. We begin a dialogue with Patrick over how those who are returning to understanding the Torah and the Hebrew Roots ought to act towards our older Jewish brother. Should we completely submit to all Rabbinic authority, traditions, and customs? Or should we reject them as completely un-Scriptural and "anathema", and decry them? Should we demand recognition as fellow Israelites, or should we be content to remain gentiles? These are tricky grounds, in which differing opinions over "1-House vs 2-House", "Ephraimite or Messianic Gentile",  and more could be potentially hazardous to growing together and learning from each other. But we ought to remove the log out of our own eyes first, and work on ourselves - only when we are looking at ourselves first, will unity and understanding come. In this episode, we examine the importance of understanding Yeshua's Jewishness, understanding the dynamics between Jews and non-Jews (whether Gentile or Ephraimite), and treading the fine lines of unity in the presence of differing viewpoints.

 Numbers 1:1–4:20 ~ Rollyn Betts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:21:53

Shabbat, May 11th, 2o13 This portion, called "Bemidbar," is the beginning of the book of Numbers or "The Wilderness." The reason it is called "Numbers" by our English Bibles is that a census is taken of all the men of war to protect and defend the children of Israel. The Levites were exempt from this census as they were the "LORD's portion." This census not only filled out the ranks of a standing army for Israel, but it also organized the camp with its levels of leadership. Given their numbers, this was essential to maintain order and cooperation in the camp. The total of the census reached 603,550 men who could go to war. Based on this number, we can demographically project that the entire camp had over 3,000,000 souls.

“In The Wilderness” ~ David Mathews | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:08:41

Shabbat, May 11th, 2o13 This book’s title in English, ‘Numbers’, seems a contradiction to its’ Hebrew name, BeMidbar, simply because we’ve been taught to disassociate the two; numbers and letters. However, in Hebrew each letter is a number, their message is both consistent and therefore even more comprehensive! The book is replete with numerals, hence the focus in English – but, if what we postulate is true – then these same numerals enhance the message. So let’s start with some numbers and see if this ‘adds up’ (sarcasm mine). Click Here for David's notes

 Bemidbar ~ Brittney Scott | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:30

Erev Shabbat, May 10th, 2o13 This is an exciting week in the Torah cycle because it begins the 4th book of the Torah, Numbers also known as Bemidbar/”In the Wilderness”!  It covers Numbers 1:1-4:20.  It is important to note that this journey is the blueprint for the future greater exodus.  Every lesson taught to Israel will as well have to be grasped by those who choose to be in the camp of the righteous.  Have you ever wondered what was the significance of this journey, and why an 11-day trip turned into 40 years?  The generation that left Egypt missed the lessons, but what’s the crucial point that all the lessons can be summed up within?  The answer to that question can be found in the name of the very location where they wandered!  Focus Israel Report 5.10.13 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 24:55

The Arab League agreed to peace negotiations with Israel based upon the 1967 borders with "minor" land swaps. Will direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians start soon? The US is weighing using a military option against the government of Syria. Will they do it? The US has shown Israel its upgraded bunker buster bomb? Is this enough to prevent Israel from attacking Iran?
