Derek Prince Legacy Radio 15 Minute Format

Today Derek speaks about Jesus’ story of the house that is built upon a rock. This refers to whether or not our lives have been built on His Word. Of the two houses, one was built on a firm foundation, and the other was built on sand. Derek then looks at what we can expect to be shaken: things like our families, businesses, governments, religious institutions, and finally the whole earth.

Derek begins this look at Scripture where God says He will shake all things. It is a time when all will be judged. On the basis of how we have lived, whether by sin or by righteousness, we will face the judgment of God administered by the Lord Jesus.

Derek uses an account of a three week experience of waiting on God to show how life changing and important waiting can be. He lists several steps that were involved during this time that you can incorporate into your life: sitting at His feet, beholding His glory, the vertical way, and falling in love with Jesus.

Derek continues his teaching on waiting by looking at what may hinder our fellowship with the Lord; unconfessed sin. If we have sin in our life we are not truly walking in the light and thus are not in fellowship. Spending time waiting on God gives Him an opportunity to speak to us about anything that may need to be confessed and dealt with.

Today Derek looks at how decisions were made concerning matters in the beginning church. When replacing Judas the eleven disciples sought God for who He wanted. In Antioch the Holy Spirit spoke and said to separate Barnabas and Paul. Serving and waiting are the two main callings in the Christian life.

Derek begins looking at the importance of our relationship with the Holy Spirit and His working in our lives. He is the One Jesus sent to give direction to believers so we each need to learn to be sensitive and listen to Him as He works in our lives.

Beginning this study Derek distinguishes between the head and the body in showing that Jesus is our head and we are His body. He speaks about four functions of the head; it receives input or communication from the body. The head makes decisions, it initiates action, and it coordinates the activity of the other members as they carry out the decisions.

Derek tells about a time when he almost died and in seeking the Lord about it, was shown scenes among which he was in restaurants. God dealt with him about his eating habits and he takes what he has learned and shares it with us for our benefit.

Derek begins today by going over some recommendations for preventing cancer. He then talks about exercise, gives a list of dietary needs, and discusses findings from U.S. departments concerning various food groups. His concern for our health is clearly apparent in these messages.

Derek opens today’s message by asking ”How should we treat our bodies?” Going through various scriptures he addresses the need for us to consider what and how we eat, and the nutritional value. We need to use wisdom in taking care of our bodies.

Today we look at how we are to treat our bodies as God’s property; temples of the Holy Spirit. Derek wants you to see you will be answerable to what you have done in the body and treated it. One day our bodies will be changed to glorified ones and until then we are responsible for these temples.

Derek begins this message today with a scripture from David proclaiming he was fearfully and wonderfully made. He then lists some scientific facts about the make-up of our bodies only God could have done. We are then admonished by scripture to present our bodies as living sacrifices to God.

Derek finishes this study by using the Word to show that through the finished work of Jesus, we are accepted by God into His family. He leads us in a prayer to receive what God has provided; for guilt you are pronounced NOT GUILTY, for shame you have been given His GLORY, and for rejection you have been ACCEPTED. You’re not just tolerated, you’re WELCOME into His presence and all He has.
