Derek Prince Legacy Radio 15 Minute Format

Derek teaches from the book of Revelation concerning the two harvests in the last days. The first is the harvest of grain, which is the harvest of salvation. The second is the grape harvest, which will bring judgment. As night comes on, the work of harvesting souls will come to an end. Until then, we must be busy in the fields while there is still time.

Today Derek continues his study on the harvest by looking at what true prosperity is in the midst of crisis. The purposes of God must be accomplished in the face of intense opposition. Derek calls on the church to understand and walk in the fear of the Lord, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the sake of the harvest.

Derek begins this teaching by taking the words of Jesus that tells us that the harvest is the end of the age, the time when He will return. But before the harvest is ready, there must be early and latter rains. These rains are spoken of in Scripture as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Derek’s concern is that the church must experience an awakening to the work of the harvest that God has given her.

The third end-time purpose Derek speaks of today regards the bride of Christ, the church, and her need to have made herself ready for Jesus. He sets down three requirements for the Bride: first, total loyalty to Jesus; second, a heartfelt yearning for the return of her bridegroom; and third, proper clothing which is the righteous acts of the saints.

In today’s session, Derek delves into the history of Israel and God's promise of restoration to their land which He gave them. Derek explains how the land was divided up, and discusses consequences to the nations involved in it. God is jealous for His people, and the treatment of the Jews is very close to His heart.

Derek enumerates the first of God’s end-time purposes: that the gospel will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations. The second end-time purpose is the restoration of Israel—first, to their homeland and then to their God.

Derek takes us to Scripture, where Jesus warns us about the birth pains that will precede the coming of the kingdom of God. There will be ethnic conflicts, political wars, betrayal and killing of Christians, deception, and lawlessness. Birth pains will continue to grow in intensity. Will you endure to the end?

As we begin this message, Derek states God’s ultimate goal for this present age: the coming of His kingdom. From Scripture, Derek expounds on this to show God’s concern for the poor and downtrodden. Sodom was judged for not caring about those less fortunate. Derek brings us to the present age, to warn us of the possibility of judgment.

Using the Levitical blessing from Numbers 6, Derek notes that when the Lord turns His face toward you, His grace or favor is extended. Then, bringing us in to New Testament blessings, we see that grace comes first followed by peace—God’s peace. Where God’s peace is, there is the King’s presence.

Today Derek finishes the week showing how grace leaves no room for boasting—except in what the Lord has done. Abraham had no reason for boasting; his righteousness was accounted to him on the basis of his faith. Our father of faith had nothing in himself and neither do we. All are dependent on God to extend His grace to us, taking the lowest and lifting us to the highest.

When we are born again, we become new creatures and that means our old man is dead. We have to deny self, acknowledge Jesus is Lord and Master. We are His slaves, also serving His servants. As we do this, we become vessels of grace. Derek shares from experience how this truth of finding himself where death of self-life has led to the manifestation of Jesus.

How do we learn to rely on God’s grace in our daily living? Today Derek offers three steps to help you walk out your reliance upon grace; affirm that Christ lives in you, put no confidence in your flesh, and rely on Christ’s all-sufficiency. Keep your eyes on the One who is faithful.

What do you do to receive God’s grace? The answer is nothing; stop trying to do. Grace is not found in anything you can do; just receive it because of what Jesus has done for you. Stop trying to earn God’s grace and yield yourself without reservation to Jesus.

What is the one essential requirement for receiving God’s grace? Derek makes no apologies for addressing this question. Scripture says “Humble yourself.” It is a decision each of us must make. We must guard against self-righteousness and pride by humbling ourselves and submitting to God. As we do, God’s grace will be extended to us.

Derek looks at three charges given by God through the prophet Isaiah concerning the inhabitants of the earth in the last days. They have transgressed the laws, they have changed the ordinance, and they have broken the everlasting covenant. The description of what happens next could be frightening if our trust were not in the Lord.
