The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 117 – They Find Ways to Make it Difficult | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:02:53

After a two game winning streak, the Bengals find themselves at 4-2 on the year, in first place in the AFC North, currently the 3rd seed in the AFC, only one game behind New England and only two games behind the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. I'd say that's a pretty good position to be in after 6 games. Now the Bengals head to Detroit to take on a feisty Lions team who are also 4-2 on the year and have an offense that can move the ball among the best in the league, but can their defense hold up? Should be a fun game to watch on Sunday at Ford Field. Also, a big THANK YOU to everyone who submitted their nominations for Who-Dey Weekly in the 9th Annual Podcast Awards! We really appreciate your support and hopefully we'll have good news on October 27th when they announce this year's finalists! In this week's show: We lead off the show talking about Marvin Jones and his big showing against the Bills on Sunday. Andy Dalton had a better than good game on Sunday, throwing for over 300 yards and 3 TD's. He also earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in Buffalo. The defense once again found themselves shaking their heads as relatively unknown quarterback Thad Lewis moved the ball and was able to erase a 14 point deficit in the 4th quarter allowing the Bills to get to overtime. We looked ahead to this weekend's matchup with the Detroit Lions, who are coming off a comeback win against the Browns on Sunday. Joseph Fauria, the Lions tight end, had a 3 TD performance against the Browns. Let's hope this week the Bengals can cover a tight end..... We take your calls and talk about Dre Kirkpatrick's injury issues, which begs the question, is Dre Kirkpatrick a bust? What are your thoughts Bengals fans? We give our bold predictions as well our as score predictions. Give us your bold predictions in the comments below! Don't forget to join us for our Postgame coverage on Sunday immediately following the game against the Lions. You can join us at CincyJungle.com/live.  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 116 – Punters Need Love Too | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:51

What an awesome game on Sunday, though it was very low scoring, the drama couldn't have written itself any better. In the driving torrential rains, Kevin Huber launches a HUGE punt that pushes Julian Edelman back, making the Patriots field just THAT much longer to move down the field to try and get the tying score. Despite two boneheaded 4th down plays to allow the Patriots drive to continue, Adam Jones came up big when we needed it most by intercepting one of the best quarterbacks to play the game. Ballgame, 3-2 thank you and now lets prepare for banged up Buffalo, a team in which the Bengals have struggled mightily against. If you have a moment, please help us and nominate Who-Dey Weekly for this year's Podcast Awards! In this week's show: We lead off the show talking about the rain in Cincinnati, I think Mickey is still drying off. The defense kept the Bengals in the game despite the poor offensive showing by disrupting Brady and pressuring him constantly. We looked ahead to this weekend's matchup with the Buffalo Bills, who are coming off a Thursday night loss to the Browns and have had 4 extra days to prepare for the Bengals. Thad Lewis (who?) is starting on Sunday for the Bills in place of injured EJ Manuel. We take your calls and talk about Dalton, the running game and everything that's holding this offense back. We look at the next 6 games leading up to the bye, this stretch of games are all winnable and will define the Bengals season. We give our bold predictions as well our as score predictions. Give us your bold predictions in the comments below! REMINDER: There will be NO Postgame Coverage this Sunday.  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 115 – Is the Sky Falling? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:41

It was not a good weekend for Cincinnati sports that's for sure. The Reds lost 4 straight to the Pirates to bow out badly in the MLB Playoffs. The Bengals played a stinker of a game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Nothing, NOTHING, went the Bengals way on Sunday. All aspects of the Bengals TEAM performed poorly on Sunday. The play, the play calling, the coaching, you name it, it was bad. But if there is a bright spot, the 4-0 New England Patriots come to town this week to take on the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium. THIS should be fun. If you have a moment, please help us and nominate Who-Dey Weekly for this year's Podcast Awards! Just click the banner link above, and on the nomination form, include the show name "Who-Dey Weekly" and the website URL which is http://spnt.tv/whodeyweekly. Before submitting make sure you include your name and provide a verifiable email address. Thank you to everyone who has submitted their nominations! We really appreciate your support! In this week's show: We lead off the show talking about the very poor performance in Cleveland. The defense kept the Bengals in the game despite the poor offensive showing. We looked ahead to this weekend's matchup with the New England Patriots, who are coming in 4-0 despite missing 86% of their receptions from last year, missing their best TE and WR to injury to start this year. We discuss the play of LB Rey Rey Maualuga and agree that so far in 2013 he is the most improved Bengal from last year. We opened up the phone lines and discuss Andy Dalton, the support for the Bengals as a whole, and why did the Bengals draft a TE in the first round if they weren't going to model the New England style of offense. We give our bold predictions as well our as score predictions. Give us your bold predictions in the comments below!  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 114 – Did That Just Happen? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:28

So on Sunday the Bengals jumped out to a 14-0 lead, then watched the Green Bay Packers score thirty, yes, 30 straight points. Miraculously the Bengals managed to score 20 more unanswered points to walk out of Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday with a 34-30 win. A win that honestly came down to a Marvin Lewis red challenge flag. Yeah, I'm still amazed myself. He almost NEVER wins these challenges. Fate was on the Bengals side on Sunday and the rest was history. In this week's show: Anthony leads off the show saying that the game on Sunday versus the Packers goes down as one of the best games in the Marvin Lewis era, it also goes down as one of the most bizarre in NFL history. The defense kept the Bengals in the game. When the offense turned the ball over on 4 straight possessions in the first half, Green Bay only managed 9 points on short fields against this tenacious defense. We looked ahead to this weekend's AFC North match up with the Cleveland Browns, who also shocked another NFC North team this weekend by winning in Minnesota over the weekend with 3rd string quarterback Brian Hoyer under center. We opened up the phone lines and discuss Adam Jones, the defense, the importance of Michael Johnson and why we hope the Bengals re-sign him to a long term deal. We give our bold predictions as well our as score predictions. Give us your bold predictions in the comments below! Don't forget to tune in to our Pregame and Postgame Coverage this Sunday.  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 113 – Facial Hair for the Win | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 45:00

The Bengals did something on Monday night they've only done once in the Marvin Lewis era. They beat Pittsburgh at Paul Brown Stadium. The year? 2009. The same year Hard Knocks was in camp, the same year the Bengals swept the AFC North, and oh by the way, the same year they beat down the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau Field. If you recall that was the 5 sack game by Antwan Odom. Let's hope Dunlap, Johnson, Atkins and company bring the heat on Sunday. In this week's show: The crowd noise at Paul Brown Stadium during the game sounded very quiet on television and Mickey (who was at PBS) confirmed our suspicions. The Bengals took care of business by not turning the ball over and forcing Big Ben into making some bad decisions. We take a detour for a few minutes to discuss the big news out of Cleveland regarding the trade of Trent Richardson to the Colts and how this will affect the divison. We take a look at the game against the Packers who are coming off an offensive performance for the ages, a 480 yard passer and 120 yard rusher. Did the Redskins even show up? We give our bold predictions as well our as score predictions. Give us your bold predictions in the comments below! Don't forget to tune in to our Pregame and Postgame Coverage this Sunday.  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 112 – It’s Steelers Week!!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:30

The Bengals lost a game on Sunday they dominated for the most part. They handed it over to the Bears with three turnovers and some bonehead penalties, play calling, and substitutions. All that is now forgotten. It's time to move on Bengals fans because it's STEELERS WEEK! One of the biggest and best weeks of the year if you're a fan of the black and orange! Monday Night Football, primetime, under the lights at Paul Brown Stadium. Let's hope that they can shake off week one, and pummel the banged up Steelers. The Lawfirm fills us in on his preparation for the Bears and the challenges their defense poses for them this week.  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 110 – Is There Even a Debate? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:11:46

So the Bengals lost their first preseason game of the year 24-18 against the Cowboys. Yes, they lost a preseason game that that has no bearing whatsoever on their regular season record. After being involved in social media debates and witnessing multiple discussions you'd think that the Bengals started their season 0-4. Deep breaths people. It's just a preseason game. They turned the ball over 4 times and still had a chance to go down the field to win a meaningless game. Save your energy for the season opener. In this week's show: Mickey and I review Tuesday night's episode of Hard Knocks. We wrap up our Stay or Go series with the Bengals secondary. We bring back and old segment "Shoutouts" for the second week in a row. If you'd like to be shouted out on the podcast, leave us an iTunes review or email us at whodeyweekly@spnt.tv. We take phone calls regarding the Bengals secondary and backup quarterback battles. Mickey and I ended the show with a spirited debate about Andy Dalton. Is he the quarterback to lead us to Super Bowl glory? Don't forget to tune in to our Pregame and Postgame Coverage this Saturday night as the Bengals host the Tennessee Titans. Pregame will kick off at 6:30 and immediately following the game. Join us at cincyjungle.com/live.  Who-Dey Weekly – Dallas Pregame and Postgame | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:40

This week I had the chance to fly solo and bring you this week's Who-Dey Weekly Pregame and Postgame show. The pregame show featured a lot of Bengals fans calling in excited about the game. The postgame show not so much after the loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The phrase "it's the preseason" was uttered quite often.  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 109 – Defensive Line and Linebackers | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:07

The Bengals are 2-0 this preseason, take that for what you will, but wins are wins and it's never bad to rack those up. The first team offense has done some things moving the ball even without All-Pro WR AJ Green seeing a minute of action. That will change this Saturday when the Bengals take on the Cowboys in Dallas. Green and tackle Andrew Whitworth are both expected to play in the Bengals 3rd game of the preseason. Let's hope that the pass protection gets better, that was not their best showing Saturday night vs the Titans. In this week's show: Anthony, Mickey and Nick play Stay or Go with the defensive line and linebackers. Aaron Maybin's release and his artwork skills displayed on Hard Knocks. We bring back and old segment "Shoutouts". If you'd like to be shouted out on the podcast, leave us an iTunes review or email us at whodeyweekly@spnt.tv. We take phone calls from John from KY, Fatal Content in Florida, and John from Missouri. I'm wondering we can get a John from every state to call in. John does question whether or not Andy Dalton is the man to lead this team to the promise land. It's something a lot of Bengals fans have been questioning this offseason. Year three of Dalton and Jay Gruden should tell us a lot. Don't forget to tune in to our Pregame and Postgame Coverage this Saturday night as the Bengals host the Tennessee Titans.  The Who-Dey Weekly Podcast – Episode 108 – I Don’t Wear My Ring When She’s Gone | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:30

The Cincinnati Bengals will wrap up Training Camp 2013 on Thursday as they continue to prepare for their upcoming preseason home opener against the Tennessee Titans. Today the Bengals announced that star WR AJ Green is 100% healthy and is looking to see game action next week in Dallas. Andrew Whitworth continues to make progress as well and hopes to also make an appearance next week. The Bengals came out rather unscathed last week in Atlanta (thank goodness) and put on quite a show in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Here's to hoping they continue this trend on Saturday at Paul Brown Stadium. In this week's show: Anthony, Mickey and I breakdown episode two of Hard Knocks. What was your favorite part? Pete Prisco of CBS Sports is predicting that the Bengals will play in this years Super Bowl. Big John from Bengal Bomb Squad, one of the LARGEST Bengal tailgates for home games, calls in to let people know about the new NFL Policy handed down this week regarding tailgate times. The Bengals have announced that their lots will now open 3.5 hours prior to kickoff instead of 4 hours. In the show John explains why this is such a big deal, particularly to massive tailgates like BBS. Tweet your support for them by using #TailgateAt9. Remember the ring Andy Dalton is made fun of for in the first two episodes of Hard Knocks? Well KC Holiday the founder of QALOring.com joins us to talk about the rings and what the exposure from Hard Knocks has done for their business. Check out their rings, they're great. Help support the podcast and get 10% of your ring purchase by using promo code "WHODEY" at checkout. Big thanks to KC and Ted for helping us out. We wrap up the show by playing Stay or Go with the offensive line. We had planned to cover the defensive line but ran out of time. Why did we run out of time? Because we had amazing callers this week! The support has been tremendous so thank you to everyone who tuned in live and called in to the show, we love hearing from you Bengals fans! Don't forget to tune in to our Pregame and Postgame Coverage this Saturday night as the Bengals host the Tennessee Titans. Pregame will kick off at 6:30 and immediately following the game.
